@03zechariah Yes, he has an amazing pattern. Definitely being kept in fresh water at the moment, no aquarium salts and only a kH of 2. Had him for years. Have read that all freshwater moray eels need to return to marine as they get older but have no idea when, how, why this is so. Would love somebody to share more information about this creature.
Our moray likes to eat whitebait mostly. He has really fattened up in the last 6 months. No stress about the comments. Amazing the difference in price over there compared to here. Have never seen another freshwater moray around here (Eastern Melbourne).
I also like your collection of Plecos, very nice. What do you feed your moray? it kinda looks a bit thin, I feed mine peeled raw shrimp I buy at the supermarket, I just thaw them out and drop them in. He eats 2 in the morning and 2 at night.
@Lyndaloo97 They seen you coming a mile away dude. $650 for a moray eel, or any eel for that matter, is way too much money. They probably told you it was a rare type of moray, well, they were right, it is rare, it's rarely expensive.lmao.
@Lyndaloo97@Lyndaloo97 I'm actually in Orlando Florida and out here I've only seen 5 as beautiful as your, mine is regular with just light yellow spots, I wish they would have had some like yours the day I went to pick mine up, I would have gotten 2 of them, But out here they're only $29.00 for regular and $39.00 for the ones like you have. And I'm sorry I called you a dude and I hope my first comment didn't bother you, I wasn't trying to be a jerk about it.

@Lyndaloo97 do you know what kind of moray it is? ive done some research nd i believe it may be a gymnothorax polyuradon

@Lyndaloo97 also, if he starts to look sick, or anything of the sort, you may need to put him in brackish water (1.005-1.010)

Bought it from Amazing Amazon in Glen Waverley, Vic. Only ever seen that one and it cost me $650.

@cichlid62 I would like to buy another one. Where would I get another eel exactly the same? It is pure freshwater with those patterns on it.
