The only swords and daggers you should be getting as a lock are the ones that give you spell dmg

while that is true it all depends on your playing style. if you like to have a cool looking staff or a destructive dagger is all up to you. truthfully i believe locks should stick with staves until lvl 60.

Play style does not determine whether or not they are a melee class.

You tend to get more stats, like int and stam out of staves, but a main hand+off hand tends to give you more haste, hit, crit, or SP.

buble is dispel able it doesnt last for 30 but for 12 sec a priest with mass dispel or a shammy could easily get rid of the buble a warlocks chaos bolt or something ignores buble and still hits paladin paladins are good yes but they wont b as good at lv80 anymore + they are just coming up to speed retri palas sucked for a long time now they can be the new warlocks ( warlocks owned in tbc ) instead of saying nerf go find a way to beat them i would say start with always stunning divine storm atack
