Prime Ali vs prime Tyson is 50/50, either guy can win. But If you put the post exile Ali (70s) vs pre/post(90s) jail Tyson, Ali wins by far. Ali had all the assets in the 70s that Tyson lacked in the 90s. That Ali had way too many weapons including messing with your head, another area Tyson was poor in, mentally. But prime vs prime either guy can win.
This is post douglas tyson, thats why his defense is horrible, at this point his training wasn't the same, younger mike was much better and id give him the edge over ali
I say mike tyson is the best of all time...muhammad ali of couce was legendary but comeon how many ko did mike tyson give to vs opponents compared to ali
ruddock should of used his height and reach advantage by utilizing more uppercuts with tyson being smaller he would not of seen them and of been able to telegraph the punches, but they both fought a great fight
@ille24 Ruddock's chin seemed even more impressive...how many guys did you see take that many clean punches by Mike Tyson and still go the whole 12 rounds against him? Ruddock deserves all the respect. I wonder how the judges would have scored this fight without the 2 knockdowns by Tyson...Ruddock might have gotten the decision. Great fight.
@kassop WOW WHAT LANGUAGE HOW OLD ARE YOU, SOUNDS LIKE 3RD GRADER STUFF? SO WHAT IF HIS FACE GOT SMASHED UP, RUDDOCK STILL FOUGHT HIM TO THE END AND IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE BELL A FEW TIMES, WHO KNOWS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. ALSO THE COMMENT ABOVE ABOUT WHAT TYSON SAID ABOUT RUDDOCK SAYS IT ALL. " this fight broke his spirit that boxing was never the same for him after this fight he also said that ruddock hit him so hard in his jaw that it felt like he broke a rib".
@curtflirt2 SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU IDIOT, SO WHAT IF HE HIT HIM HARD, TYSON WAS GIVING HIM PROPS ONLY. AND TO CHAT SHIT THAT HE BROKE HIS SPIRIT YOUR DUMB AND STUPID AND DO NOT KNOW FUCK ALL ABOUT TYSON YOU HOMO.
@kassop I SEE THAT YOU ARE THE IDIOT WHO DOESN'T RESEARCH ANYTHING. BEFORE YOU COMMENT NONSENSE, YOU NEED TO DO YOUR RESEACH OR ARE YOU NOT CAPABLE OF DOING THAT. IT'S EASY, KIDS CAN DO IT, WHY CAN'T YOU??? THOSE WERE MIKE TYSON'S WORD OUT OF HIS MOUTH. I LOVE PEOPLE WHO JUST TALK AND TALK AND WITHOUT DOING THEIR HOMEWORK. SMH
@kassop YOU ALMOST SOUND LIKE TYSON'S BITCH ! It's out there and look at the comment by another person above as one of the top comments as well. That person did their reseach as well. Mike tyson praised Ruddock and also said that if this guy stays on point that he will be champion so day.
@kassop SORRY DON'T DO THINGS LIKE THAT BUT IT'S ON YOUR MIND SO MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY IT WITH YOUR LOVER.. IT'S ALSO NOT ABOUT LIKING RAZOR RUDDOCK, HE JUST GAVE MIKE THE BEST FIGHT EVER
@curtflirt2 My lover? oh! you mean your sister, well i`ll try my best to make things romantic tonight, am gonna get that pussy tonight, am gonna hit it hard tonight, am gonna get me some tonight, its all about tonight, preach.
@kassop NOW BEFORE WASTE YOUR WORDS AND WRITE ANYMORE STUPID STUFF, DO SOME RESEACH FIRST PEOPLE. THAT'S PART OF THE PROBLEMS IN THE WORLD TODAY, TOO MANY PEOPLE SUCH AS YOUR SELF JUST GO AROUND TALKING SHIT WITH OUT ANY TYPE OF KNOWLEDGE.
I don't care what anyone says, this is tyson at his best, not those early ended 'quick knock out' fights. Because here he is fighting someone who fought back, and he showed that he was capable of stamina and resilience. Where was this tyson against holyfield?
my favorite fight of all time is both their fights.. i think razor was the only true challenge mike had, and razor was the only one who took all of mike tysons punches and stayed toe to toe with him
Foreman vs Mike Tyson would of been akin to nations teeing off with nuclear warheads! Good luck picking that one. Slight lean to Foreman in a dream matchup but Tyson soooo fast! After 7 rounds Foreman tires badly and if it went past that point, Tyson a chance of a stoppage. But given Tysons 'in your face ' style Foreman might just seal the deal with a brutal uppercut. Joe louis would of been crunched within 1-3 rounds, low hands, soft chin not to mention lack of size against these monsters!
I guess I just donk like that "Under the right circumstances, in the right climate, had he known Ali would rope a dope" He lost and ALi would get him again. He was no where near of knocking him out. Ali did well against big strong guys like Sonny and George. You´ll probably say, that 1974 Ali was not the 1964 Ali. In my book that just makes the victory more impressive. And to say the greatest heavyweight ever won because of luck.........well, that one is yours and yours alone.
@Bjoernbaks i THINK that foreman would ko tyson , basing on obvious reasons of the styles, and the opinions of joe frazier, larry holmes, michael spinks, cus damato, and the proved theory of george foreman destroys swarmers. and the fact of tyson avoided old foreman.
i think that it is more solid than " ali would beat foreman 10/10 times anytime"
@combatesdeboxeo Yep, everybody avoided Foreman. Its amazing how he fought anyone. You´re in love with Foreman and cant see beyond your own opinion. He might beat Tyson, he might beat anyone. But he got his ass handed to him by Muhammad Ali. The fight was´nt close. Would you be more satisfied if I said I think Ali would beat Foreman 3 out of 3 times? Lastly, Holyfield was a short puncher and he beat Foreman.
@Bjoernbaks and yes, i love foreman but i think that a prime ali and probably larry holmes would beat foreman on a boxing ring , styles make fight, it is because i think that foreman would ko tyson.
@Bjoernbaks joe louis would have a good chance to beat foreman in a rematch, joe louis had the jab, he was patient, he could fight from the distance(he was not short like tyson), the only point was that louis did not have a great chin , he had the skill and the defence to avoid many shots from foreman but foreman would catch him i am pretty sure, i don´t know how louis would take this monster shots. actually i think that a guy like joe walcott could do a good fight against foreman
@Bjoernbaks i am not a blind foreman fan, i think that it is about styles simply, tyson did not have the best style to face george foreman, he would be a wolf in the mouth of the lion. tyson would do pretty well against a prime holmes instead, styles...
Even if Tyson where to win this, you gould see he wasnt the same fighter as he vhere earlier.. Not taking anything away from Ruddock, he was a very tough fighter that had the style to beat him.
mike tyson said that this fight broke his spirit that boxing was never the same for him after this fight he also said that ruddock hit him so hard in his jaw that it felt like he broke a rib lol mike always kept it a hundred
i don't know why guys like Ernie Shaver and George Foreman top Mike Tyson in the hard-puncher category. They may hit harder than Tyson but Tyson has crispier punch than they are. Tyson punch looks stronger on an on guard position and ever looks much stronger and frightening when throws it. Unlike George Foreman punch rather seem weaker even when he is delivering it.
@19truthseeker because foreman and shavers were harder punchers than tyson, even tyson did admit it. foreman was bigger, stronger, harder puncher, he had better chin, more heart, he had style advantage on tyson and he would destroy tyson, tyson would beat shavers but a lucky shot from shavers would be dangerous.
@combatesdeboxeo Foreman was a dangerous puncher but one thing about Foreman is that you can see most of his shots coming. Tyson's shots, you really couldn't see because of his blinding speed. Foreman just beat you down. But he don't knock people out as fast as Tyson. Foreman was all power with little speed. Tyson was speed and power which made him more dangerous in the opening round. Foreman just beat you down until theres nothing left.
@NBAGOATS george foreman was a natural monster with natural very strong frame, and tyson was a little guy who was fat when he was a kid, he worked very hard and he was packed of muscle, he had good skill with great speed then it is = hitting power, but he never was the natural monster who was george foreman
@combatesdeboxeo Tyson's chin is underrated. The guy was a beast and he took massive hits from Ruddock who was one of the most powerful hitters in his era. Foreman was a power puncher, but he wasn't very skilled. Just a hard puncher. I don't know if Tyson could have beaten Foreman, but it would have been a good match. Foreman was a beast of a fighter. I really can't see Tyson beating him. And I think a rematch with Ali and Foreman, it could go either way.
@NBAGOATS i agree but foreman was not ONLY a hard puncher, foreman had a pretty good jab, very heavy jab, he did cut the ring pretty well, he had a sturdy chin, a great heart, actually the stamina and the speed of george foreman are the 2 most underrated things ever. many idiots says " foreman had no stamina" basing on his fight against ali in zaire, but he fought 10 rounds against peralta and he won clearly, i assure you that george foreman was faster than rocky marciano(who was 185 pounds)
@combatesdeboxeo Foreman was a slugger with a good jab. A heavy jab. I think you're overrating his heart. He was unprofessional in the ring at times and got beat mentally when he couldn't put his opponent away. Jimmy Young was a good example of that. So was Ali. I honestly think Tyson would edge him in a decision. I don't think George could knock him out. The punches that dropped Tyson were devastating combos. Something George never does.
@NBAGOATS foreman had warrior heart and he did show it against ron lyle and holyfield in his 40s, foreman won a fight after he got dropped, tyson never did, like cus damato said, only out boxers(stylists) could beat foreman, short puncher would get destroyed by foreman, george would push tyson back it would be all the defence that he would need, and he would finish tyson with heavy uppers, tyson did not have the reach or the style to beat george foreman, styles make fights my friend
@combatesdeboxeo Well, thats a matter of opinion i guess. I think Tyson had all the skills to beat George Foreman. I cant see Foreman not getting hit hard by Tyson. Not saying Tyson would definetly knock him out, but win I believe he would. George has a lot of credit in peoples minds because of the Frazier an Norton fights, but those two had it coming with the open styles. I think George is great, but he would allways have problems with i strong skilled guy with heart and chin like Larry Holmes.
"I think George is great, but he would allways have problems with i strong skilled guy with heart and chin like Holmes."
well, i think that styles make fights and the very best larry holmes COULD beat the very best foreman in a war, holmes had the tools to outpoint foreman, but larry holmes strong? are you joking? he was 6´3 and in his prime he weighed barely 209 -211 pounds, and he wa snot that ripped like ali or jack jonhson, he was a skinny guy with skill, chin, jab and heart
@combatesdeboxeo i agree, that Holmes was not the strongest guy in the world, but he had heart all the way and I just think Foremans weaknesses was shown in the Ali fight (To whom he would lose 10 out of 10 fights, I think) and that is why i mentioned Holmes whom he never fought. No one would ever roll over Foreman because of his strength, and I think he would defeat every man who came after him. I still think Mike Tyson was to quick, skilled and tough for Foreman to knock him out.
@Bjoernbaks well, i disagree that ali would beat foreman always, actually ali wanted no part of a rematch with foreman, his victory in zaire was suspect, and the clime was horrible and ali took advantage with it, ali had better stamina it is because he could fight better in the hot clime, with fine clime foreman could fight 10 rounds pretty well he did show it against peralta,
@Bjoernbaks foreman did cut the ring pretty well and you can see in the eyes of ali in the early rounds the fear and it did show the beast who was foreman,( in the documental when we were king), ali never did show this face against liston, frazier or shavers
@combatesdeboxeo Well, its a matter of opinion. I know "When we were kings" very well and I know the look you´re talking about. Ali was the man who broke George and I understand if he had some fear going in the ring with an undefeated Foreman. However I think Ali was confident of victory after the second or third round and George was´nt tired at that point. I dont know the circumstances regarding a rematch, but he beat him by a landslide in Zaire. No way George had victory in sight.
@Bjoernbaks "I think Ali was confident of victory after the second or third round " NOWAY!!! IF YOU ARE SCARED LIKE HELL IN THE FIRST ROUND YOU ARE NOT SURE TO WIN IN THE ROUND 3, PERSONALLY I THINK THAT ALI DID NOT HAVE ANY PLAN, IT WAS PURE LUCK, FOREMAN GOT TIRED AND ALI SAW HIS LUCKY ESCAPE.
You underestimate the intelligence of ali. The whole rope-a-dope thing was one of many considerations he made before and during that fight. Ali use to let sparring partners beat him up because he wanted to improve his defense, especially against the ropes. This cannot really be said for any other fighter. Most of them always focused on offense first.
@Bjoernbaks I AM NOT DEBATING THE VICTORY OF ALI, I AM DEBATING THAT YOU SAID " ALI WOULD BEAT FOREMAN 10/10 TIMES" THE TRUTH IS THAT ALI WON BARELY ONCE IN VERY RARE CIRCUMSTANCES , HE NEVER DID BEAT FOREMAN DANCING, AND HE COULD NOT BEAT FOREMAN WITH THE ROPE DOPE AGAIN, FOREMAN WAS NOT DUMB, AND THIS O WAS EVEN A KO? FOREMAN WAS DOWN BECAUSE HE WAS TIRED LIKE HELL,IT WAS NOT EVEN BECAUSE THE BLOWS OF ALI, FOREMAN TOOK BETTER BLOWS IN THE EARLY ROUNDS WITHOUT PROBLEMS
@combatesdeboxeo I dont think he was scared as hell. In that case he would´nt be able to fight like he did and Ali had confidence against everyone. Ali just had the stuff to beat these big guys like Sonny Liston and Goerge Foreman, Now you´ll probably say, that 1964 Ali was not the same as 1974 Ali. One thing is the same.....he got in there and got the job done. .
This makes no sense. You're saying that the first punches of a boxer should be able to knock an opponent out, but not the later punches? Have you ever heard of cumulative damage? Ali wore out foreman by 1-Sticking and moving and 2-Making him punch himself into exhaustion. It sounds to me like you favor boxers with a reputation for being knock out artists in early rounds. For some people there is a mystique about that, but great boxers aren't always strongest.
@Triangulove DON´T GET ME WRONG, ALI WAS A MASTER, IN MY VIEW HE IS THE GREATEST HW EVER. SIMPLY GEORGE FOREMAN IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED FIGHTERS EVER, THE SPEED AND THE STAMINA OF GEORGE ARE THE 2 MORE UNDERRATED THINGS EVER, BASING ON THAT FIGHT ALI VS FOREMAN,FOREMAN GOT TIRED UNDER A HORRIBLE CLIME IN ZAIRE BUT HE FOUGHT 10 ROUNDS WITH PERALTA WITHOUT PROBLEMS, "HE WAS SLOW LIKE HELL" SAID SOME STUPID PEOPLE ,HE WAS SLOW LIKE HELL BUT HE DID CATCH FRAZIER,NORTON AND ALI?
Where do you get the impression that anyone is underrating george foreman? People were shocked ali defeated him for a reason. But at the same time ali defeated him because ali himself is amazing. I'm not sure why people try to diminish the legacy of ali, he beat the best when he was past his prime.
@Triangulove GEORGE FOREMAN DID CUT THE RING PRETTY WELL, AND VERY HARDLY HE COULD BE OUTBOXED WHEN HE WAS MENTALLY IN HIS PRIME 72-74. ALI WOULD NOT BEAT FOREMAN 10/10 FIGHTS, ACTUALLY POST 75 I THINK THAT FOREMAN WOULD BEAT ALI
@Triangulove I THINK THAT ALI WOULD BEAT FOREMAN 6/10 FIGHTS AND GEORGE FOREMAN WOULD KNOCK TYSON OUT. FOREMAN WOULD BEAT EASILY GUYS LIKE FRAZIER,NORTON,MARCIANO... WHO ALWAYS WOULD GIVE ALI THE HELL. HEAD 2 HEAD GEORGE FOREMAN WOULD BE MORE DOMINANT THAN ALI , ACTUALLY FOREMAN WOULD KNOCK WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO OUT AND WLADIMIR WOULD BE A HARD FIGHT FOR ALI, SIMPLY ALI WAS THE KRYPTONITE OF FOREMAN
@Bjoernbaks on tyson, my opinion will be always the same, foreman was the nightmare of tyson, no short puncher would beat george foreman, foreman would push tyson back without problems, he had the chin to take lucky shots from tyson early and he had the power to knock him out, foreman by ko inside of 5 rounds.
@Bjoernbaks Foreman did battle with the likes of ron Lyle. One of the hardest punchers ever. And had the chin of an iron statue. That day and age had hard core boxers. Tyson came along when the sport was receiving a new crop along with a new identity. Tyson just dominated early and that made him stand out from the rest. I think Foreman, a prime Lewis would have beat a prime Tyson. I don't think they would have knocked him out. They just would have jabbed him to death.
@NBAGOATS I agree most of the way. I wrote my first comment because people often say, that Foreman would destroy every man in history. Ali showed how to beat him and a Lewis, Holmes type would be trouble for Foreman too. I agree totally with your Tyson comment. I consider him as being great like Goerge Foreman, but absolutely not undefeatable.
@Bjoernbaks lewis had the style to give problems to george , but lewis did not have the chin of holmes or ali to take the shots from foreman, lewis was hurt badly by a tomato can like frank bruno, foreman was a much better finisher, if foreman hurts lewis like it lewis would not see the next round
I don't think Foreman hit harder than Tyson. Foreman is overrated I think. I'm no boxing expert though, but watching his fights he looks so amateurish.
@BarrySlisk it is not about what you think... it is about facts, george foreman did hit harder than tyson, the hitting power of tyson was speed, he never had heavy hands like foreman, marciano, lyle, liston or shavers, when tyson was in his late 30s he was much heavier than he used to be in his prime and he was slow, then his hitting power was shit in his late 30s, the power of foreman was brutal even in his 40s
How do you define "heavy hands" ? For me it is the combination of speed and mass. Tyson's speed made him a hard hitter. One of Tyson's advantages was that when he hit people they FELT it. Foreman was slow as Hell but somehow he managed to hit pretty hard anyway.
@BarrySlisk foreman was no slowl like hell, actually even ali had problems with foreman and after of the first round you can see the fear in the ali eyes, foreman did catch frazier and norton and destroyed both so he was not slow like hell, it is a bullshit, foreman did not need great speed to hit hard because he had heavy hands , foreman had a big frame and natural brutal physical strength, tyson was packed of muscle and he was fast so it is =hitting power.
@BarrySlisk I don't know your experience with being hit, but a heavy handed person is usually slow but their force is strong. Mostly from sheer mass and natural brute force. I wouldn't call Tyson heavy handed but he had speed and power with lighter mass. George was just a natural Wood cutting Brawny guy. He had natural heavy punches. He just pound his man to sleep with those heavy blows. Hardest hitter ever IMO. Tyson would have a hard time with him.
@NBAGOATS "a heavy handed person is usually slow but their force is strong. Mostly from sheer mass and natural brute force. I wouldn't call Tyson heavy handed but he had speed and power with lighter mass. George was just a natural Wood cutting Brawny guy. He had natural heavy punches."
@19truthseeker It's all about the snap and the accuracy . Takes way more than being THE hardest puncher . Mike's punch was hard enough !!! Plus he dealt them with speed AND accuracy .
@combatesdeboxeo Nah , Tyson was no joke , far from it . He was a tremendously skilled puncher, hard as hell, threw punches in bunches and did his damage early . Great, great fighter .
Two mighty warriors. I know Lennox did a number on the Razor but he was one mean contender, Fancy fallin fowl of him in a Canadian bar! good night vienna!!!!!!
What I love about Tyson is that he was absolutely brutal and merciless when fighting but at the end of it he would always go straight to his opponent s and give them a hug . On the majority of occasions he would go over and try to pick them up off the floor !!! . AMAZING, AWESOME fighter. I absolutely love Mike Tyson .
I'm a huge boxing fan, but this right was so intense it made me cringe to watch it. There was a HUGE number if hard clean shots that landed. Lots of hard low blows and hard continuous fighting after the bells.
@prettyboy1970 thats because Ruddock stopped using his feet and his jab - he just became a punch bag for Tyson although he threw some great shots back. That shit is no good if you want to prolong a career. Both of them left something in the ring that night and Lewis just finished them off.
nobody talks about great tyson fights but damn this fight had a shit load of good highligts probly one of the most exciting fights in the past 20 years in the heavyweights
Rudddock's jaw was broken after this fight. Tyson was given a no contest so his win was not counted on his record coz he had marijuana in his system. Mike Tyson, greatest boxer of all time...
Credit to Razor, out of all of Tyson's opponents he walked through the most punishment from those heavy body shots!! He put a way better fight than Holyfield who kept headbutting Mike!!
There seems to be a trend today to underate Tyson. He;s usually not placed in the top 10. Hmmm. How would the Tyson that ko'd berbick do against Fraiser, Ali, Louis, Dempsey, Tunney, etc.,? He would have had a chance. Styles matter. Liston might have been too much for him. Any thoughts about Tyson vs Mercer? I am inclined to think that a prime Mercer would have beaten Tyson. Tyson would have destroyed Norton, Cooney, Young, but might have had real problems with Quarry. Foreman ko's Mike.
@DeadPeopleAreBoring Hey man! Yeah I do remember you, what happened to your other channel?? I know, I just seem to attract Tyson haters. They actually hate my guts and I know I shouldn't rise to them but Iv'e just got no willpower atal.
Ruddock's left hook, which Tyson took a few of, knocked out Dynamite Dokes, who wasn't any slouch. Knocked out James "Bonecrusher" Smith, too. Tyson had a hell of a chin to take those shots, and Ruddock isn't any slouch. Not a lot of guys can take those uppercuts from Tyson and stay on their feet.
The Ruddock/Tyson fights were slugfests between knockout punchers with chins of steel. Great stuff.
Ruddock was on the money at the beginning about Tyson. Why does he always have to come out with these homo taunts? It must be because he's one himself.
@Labcabin96 Because the boxing media and Ruddock himself were going around saying Tyson was ducking him..Tyson was originally supposed to fight him instead of Douglas but the fight didn't materialize.. So in a nutshell, that's how the bad blood started...They made up briefly after the first fight but with all the hype from Ruddock's promoter Murad Muhammed and of course Don King surrounding the premature stoppage in the 1st fight, the bad blood was re-kindled very quickly!!
These two fights against Ruddock may have been Tyson's best in totality. Not just pulverizing someone in the 1st round, but showing chin, resolve, and fortitude. Ruddock punched like "mule kicks" as Tyson described them, but clearly dominated two fights where the guy was fearless and fought to win. I'm not the biggest Tyson fan, but credit is given where credit is due. This Tyson is more impressive to me than the one that destroyed a petrified Spinks.
Some people thought Ruddock was sullen after the fight because he wouldn't talk. Later everyone found out the reason he wasn't talking was due to his broken jaw wired shut.
both fighters have great chins. mike was a fucking beast. ruddock deserves a lot of respect too, not too many men can last 36 minutes against such power.
Tyson said earlier this year that Ruddock made him not really want to fight anymore. He said he kinda broke his will. He said that his punches felt like MULE KICKS! :O
razor had tyson in trouble in the 10th, watch and see how tyson walked on to a huge left hook and mike immediately tries to recover and weaves out of the way of all razors punches, this fight finished off razors career, he took a brutal beating to both head and body, 1 and half years later he fought lennox, and we all new what happened that night, big up to mike coz no one wanted to fight razor except tyson, holyfield was champ, tyson was no1 contender and razor no2 contender
@alex321902 yeah yeah yeah wotever! "knock it off mike, knock it off mike", "how dare they challenge me with their primitive skills, their just as good as dead"
@TheCinderellaman10 ;; Sorry if i hurt ur feelings, my comments were actually meant for the complete idiot called mike649fox who posts comments from his ass rather than his mind, for he has none.
evander would of never wanted to step into the ring with this beast of razor, come on mike fought him twice, i believe evander didn't want anything to do with ruddock, lewis never got touched by razor ruddock, one left hook and lennox would of been on cloud-9, lennox fought evander passed his best and tyson, but lennox was in his prime. I still believe a peak 86-88 tyson with k. rooney and no d.king would of been to much for holyfield, but unfortunately tyson was ahead of his time!!
@TheCinderellaman10 thanx for all the info my friend! You are totally correct in everything you say. I think ruddock pre-tyson beats holyfield and lewis. He was done after tyson but tyson was never the same either. he says in an interview that ruddock lost yet beat the shit out of him and made him loose his heart for fightin. They destroyed eachother in their two bouts.
Your "speculation" SUX and has no merit whatsoever! Idiot! Holyfield was just as much passed his prime, or more so, than Tyson was when Tyson FINALLY got enough guts to get into the ring with Evander. Holyfield beat the dog piss out of Little Iron Mike TWICE. Tyson copped out the second time, as anybody with a brain knows, by fouling to avoid his second knock out by the superior Holyfield!!!!
@tnjestes i must of touched a nerve, it's not my "speculation" others agree wd me, and the only 1 who sux is u on the end of evanders penis, knob-head, i know boxing, bcoz i have stepped in the ring many a time, i study the pugilistic art, it looks like u should step into the ring, study and talk to fighters about both fighters, b4 voicing such an aggressive opinion, ur the one being rude about the youngest undisputed world champ, i am respectful of evanders achievements! what have u achieved?
i love these american commentators

I don't care what anyone says, this is tyson at his best, not those early ended 'quick knock out' fights. Because here he is fighting someone who fought back, and he showed that he was capable of stamina and resilience. Where was this tyson against holyfield?

@Triangulove Tyson by that time was having so much trouble in his life that it was too much to bear. He had self destructed too much to come back.

And to say the greatest heavyweight ever won because of luck.........well, that one is yours and yours alone.

waiting for the proofs and the facts ... ali wanted no part of the rematch

@combatesdeboxeo You´ll find the proof the same place you keep your proof of George Foreman surely being able of knocking Mike Tyson out.

@Bjoernbaks i THINK that foreman would ko tyson , basing on obvious reasons of the styles, and the opinions of joe frazier, larry holmes, michael spinks, cus damato, and the proved theory of george foreman destroys swarmers. and the fact of tyson avoided old foreman.
i think that it is more solid than " ali would beat foreman 10/10 times anytime"
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo Yep, everybody avoided Foreman. Its amazing how he fought anyone. You´re in love with Foreman and cant see beyond your own opinion. He might beat Tyson, he might beat anyone. But he got his ass handed to him by Muhammad Ali. The fight was´nt close. Would you be more satisfied if I said I think Ali would beat Foreman 3 out of 3 times? Lastly, Holyfield was a short puncher and he beat Foreman.

@Bjoernbaks and yes, i love foreman but i think that a prime ali and probably larry holmes would beat foreman on a boxing ring , styles make fight, it is because i think that foreman would ko tyson.
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@Bjoernbaks joe louis would have a good chance to beat foreman in a rematch, joe louis had the jab, he was patient, he could fight from the distance(he was not short like tyson), the only point was that louis did not have a great chin , he had the skill and the defence to avoid many shots from foreman but foreman would catch him i am pretty sure, i don´t know how louis would take this monster shots. actually i think that a guy like joe walcott could do a good fight against foreman
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@Bjoernbaks i am not a blind foreman fan, i think that it is about styles simply, tyson did not have the best style to face george foreman, he would be a wolf in the mouth of the lion. tyson would do pretty well against a prime holmes instead, styles...

i don't know why guys like Ernie Shaver and George Foreman top Mike Tyson in the hard-puncher category. They may hit harder than Tyson but Tyson has crispier punch than they are. Tyson punch looks stronger on an on guard position and ever looks much stronger and frightening when throws it. Unlike George Foreman punch rather seem weaker even when he is delivering it.
19truthseeker 2 months ago
@19truthseeker
God made sure Foreman and Shavers punches weren't as crisp as Tyson's to save lives
JDezi4 2 months ago
@19truthseeker because foreman and shavers were harder punchers than tyson, even tyson did admit it. foreman was bigger, stronger, harder puncher, he had better chin, more heart, he had style advantage on tyson and he would destroy tyson, tyson would beat shavers but a lucky shot from shavers would be dangerous.
combatesdeboxeo 2 months ago
@combatesdeboxeo Foreman was a dangerous puncher but one thing about Foreman is that you can see most of his shots coming. Tyson's shots, you really couldn't see because of his blinding speed. Foreman just beat you down. But he don't knock people out as fast as Tyson. Foreman was all power with little speed. Tyson was speed and power which made him more dangerous in the opening round. Foreman just beat you down until theres nothing left.
NBAGOATS 1 month ago
@NBAGOATS george foreman was a natural monster with natural very strong frame, and tyson was a little guy who was fat when he was a kid, he worked very hard and he was packed of muscle, he had good skill with great speed then it is = hitting power, but he never was the natural monster who was george foreman
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo Tyson's chin is underrated. The guy was a beast and he took massive hits from Ruddock who was one of the most powerful hitters in his era. Foreman was a power puncher, but he wasn't very skilled. Just a hard puncher. I don't know if Tyson could have beaten Foreman, but it would have been a good match. Foreman was a beast of a fighter. I really can't see Tyson beating him. And I think a rematch with Ali and Foreman, it could go either way.
NBAGOATS 1 month ago
@NBAGOATS i agree but foreman was not ONLY a hard puncher, foreman had a pretty good jab, very heavy jab, he did cut the ring pretty well, he had a sturdy chin, a great heart, actually the stamina and the speed of george foreman are the 2 most underrated things ever. many idiots says " foreman had no stamina" basing on his fight against ali in zaire, but he fought 10 rounds against peralta and he won clearly, i assure you that george foreman was faster than rocky marciano(who was 185 pounds)
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo Foreman was a slugger with a good jab. A heavy jab. I think you're overrating his heart. He was unprofessional in the ring at times and got beat mentally when he couldn't put his opponent away. Jimmy Young was a good example of that. So was Ali. I honestly think Tyson would edge him in a decision. I don't think George could knock him out. The punches that dropped Tyson were devastating combos. Something George never does.
NBAGOATS 1 month ago
@NBAGOATS foreman had warrior heart and he did show it against ron lyle and holyfield in his 40s, foreman won a fight after he got dropped, tyson never did, like cus damato said, only out boxers(stylists) could beat foreman, short puncher would get destroyed by foreman, george would push tyson back it would be all the defence that he would need, and he would finish tyson with heavy uppers, tyson did not have the reach or the style to beat george foreman, styles make fights my friend
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo Well, thats a matter of opinion i guess. I think Tyson had all the skills to beat George Foreman. I cant see Foreman not getting hit hard by Tyson. Not saying Tyson would definetly knock him out, but win I believe he would. George has a lot of credit in peoples minds because of the Frazier an Norton fights, but those two had it coming with the open styles. I think George is great, but he would allways have problems with i strong skilled guy with heart and chin like Larry Holmes.
Bjoernbaks 1 month ago
"I think George is great, but he would allways have problems with i strong skilled guy with heart and chin like Holmes."
well, i think that styles make fights and the very best larry holmes COULD beat the very best foreman in a war, holmes had the tools to outpoint foreman, but larry holmes strong? are you joking? he was 6´3 and in his prime he weighed barely 209 -211 pounds, and he wa snot that ripped like ali or jack jonhson, he was a skinny guy with skill, chin, jab and heart
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo i agree, that Holmes was not the strongest guy in the world, but he had heart all the way and I just think Foremans weaknesses was shown in the Ali fight (To whom he would lose 10 out of 10 fights, I think) and that is why i mentioned Holmes whom he never fought. No one would ever roll over Foreman because of his strength, and I think he would defeat every man who came after him. I still think Mike Tyson was to quick, skilled and tough for Foreman to knock him out.
Bjoernbaks 1 month ago
@Bjoernbaks well, i disagree that ali would beat foreman always, actually ali wanted no part of a rematch with foreman, his victory in zaire was suspect, and the clime was horrible and ali took advantage with it, ali had better stamina it is because he could fight better in the hot clime, with fine clime foreman could fight 10 rounds pretty well he did show it against peralta,
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@Bjoernbaks foreman did cut the ring pretty well and you can see in the eyes of ali in the early rounds the fear and it did show the beast who was foreman,( in the documental when we were king), ali never did show this face against liston, frazier or shavers
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@Bjoernbaks prime ali 64-67 would beat anyone, no question about
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo Well, its a matter of opinion. I know "When we were kings" very well and I know the look you´re talking about. Ali was the man who broke George and I understand if he had some fear going in the ring with an undefeated Foreman. However I think Ali was confident of victory after the second or third round and George was´nt tired at that point. I dont know the circumstances regarding a rematch, but he beat him by a landslide in Zaire. No way George had victory in sight.
Bjoernbaks 1 month ago
@Bjoernbaks "I think Ali was confident of victory after the second or third round " NOWAY!!! IF YOU ARE SCARED LIKE HELL IN THE FIRST ROUND YOU ARE NOT SURE TO WIN IN THE ROUND 3, PERSONALLY I THINK THAT ALI DID NOT HAVE ANY PLAN, IT WAS PURE LUCK, FOREMAN GOT TIRED AND ALI SAW HIS LUCKY ESCAPE.
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo
Triangulove 3 weeks ago
FOREMAN WAS DOWN BECAUSE HE WAS TIRED LIKE HELL,IT WAS NOT EVEN BECAUSE THE BLOWS OF ALI, FOREMAN TOOK BETTER BLOWS IN THE EARLY ROUNDS WITHOUT PROBLEMS
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo I dont think he was scared as hell. In that case he would´nt be able to fight like he did and Ali had confidence against everyone. Ali just had the stuff to beat these big guys like Sonny Liston and Goerge Foreman, Now you´ll probably say, that 1964 Ali was not the same as 1974 Ali. One thing is the same.....he got in there and got the job done. .
Bjoernbaks 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo
Triangulove 3 weeks ago
@Triangulove DON´T GET ME WRONG, ALI WAS A MASTER, IN MY VIEW HE IS THE GREATEST HW EVER. SIMPLY GEORGE FOREMAN IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED FIGHTERS EVER, THE SPEED AND THE STAMINA OF GEORGE ARE THE 2 MORE UNDERRATED THINGS EVER, BASING ON THAT FIGHT ALI VS FOREMAN,FOREMAN GOT TIRED UNDER A HORRIBLE CLIME IN ZAIRE BUT HE FOUGHT 10 ROUNDS WITH PERALTA WITHOUT PROBLEMS, "HE WAS SLOW LIKE HELL" SAID SOME STUPID PEOPLE ,HE WAS SLOW LIKE HELL BUT HE DID CATCH FRAZIER,NORTON AND ALI?
combatesdeboxeo 3 weeks ago
@combatesdeboxeo
Where do you get the impression that anyone is underrating george foreman? People were shocked ali defeated him for a reason. But at the same time ali defeated him because ali himself is amazing. I'm not sure why people try to diminish the legacy of ali, he beat the best when he was past his prime.
Triangulove 3 weeks ago

combatesdeboxeo 3 weeks ago
@Triangulove GEORGE FOREMAN DID CUT THE RING PRETTY WELL, AND VERY HARDLY HE COULD BE OUTBOXED WHEN HE WAS MENTALLY IN HIS PRIME 72-74. ALI WOULD NOT BEAT FOREMAN 10/10 FIGHTS, ACTUALLY POST 75 I THINK THAT FOREMAN WOULD BEAT ALI
combatesdeboxeo 3 weeks ago
@Triangulove I THINK THAT ALI WOULD BEAT FOREMAN 6/10 FIGHTS AND GEORGE FOREMAN WOULD KNOCK TYSON OUT. FOREMAN WOULD BEAT EASILY GUYS LIKE FRAZIER,NORTON,MARCIANO... WHO ALWAYS WOULD GIVE ALI THE HELL. HEAD 2 HEAD GEORGE FOREMAN WOULD BE MORE DOMINANT THAN ALI , ACTUALLY FOREMAN WOULD KNOCK WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO OUT AND WLADIMIR WOULD BE A HARD FIGHT FOR ALI, SIMPLY ALI WAS THE KRYPTONITE OF FOREMAN
combatesdeboxeo 3 weeks ago
@Bjoernbaks on tyson, my opinion will be always the same, foreman was the nightmare of tyson, no short puncher would beat george foreman, foreman would push tyson back without problems, he had the chin to take lucky shots from tyson early and he had the power to knock him out, foreman by ko inside of 5 rounds.
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@Bjoernbaks Foreman did battle with the likes of ron Lyle. One of the hardest punchers ever. And had the chin of an iron statue. That day and age had hard core boxers. Tyson came along when the sport was receiving a new crop along with a new identity. Tyson just dominated early and that made him stand out from the rest. I think Foreman, a prime Lewis would have beat a prime Tyson. I don't think they would have knocked him out. They just would have jabbed him to death.
NBAGOATS 1 month ago
@NBAGOATS I agree most of the way. I wrote my first comment because people often say, that Foreman would destroy every man in history. Ali showed how to beat him and a Lewis, Holmes type would be trouble for Foreman too. I agree totally with your Tyson comment. I consider him as being great like Goerge Foreman, but absolutely not undefeatable.
Bjoernbaks 1 month ago
@Bjoernbaks lewis had the style to give problems to george , but lewis did not have the chin of holmes or ali to take the shots from foreman, lewis was hurt badly by a tomato can like frank bruno, foreman was a much better finisher, if foreman hurts lewis like it lewis would not see the next round

I don't think Foreman hit harder than Tyson. Foreman is overrated I think. I'm no boxing expert though, but watching his fights he looks so amateurish.
BarrySlisk 2 months ago
@BarrySlisk it is not about what you think... it is about facts, george foreman did hit harder than tyson, the hitting power of tyson was speed, he never had heavy hands like foreman, marciano, lyle, liston or shavers, when tyson was in his late 30s he was much heavier than he used to be in his prime and he was slow, then his hitting power was shit in his late 30s, the power of foreman was brutal even in his 40s
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@combatesdeboxeo
How do you define "heavy hands" ? For me it is the combination of speed and mass. Tyson's speed made him a hard hitter. One of Tyson's advantages was that when he hit people they FELT it. Foreman was slow as Hell but somehow he managed to hit pretty hard anyway.
BarrySlisk 1 month ago
@BarrySlisk foreman was no slowl like hell, actually even ali had problems with foreman and after of the first round you can see the fear in the ali eyes, foreman did catch frazier and norton and destroyed both so he was not slow like hell, it is a bullshit, foreman did not need great speed to hit hard because he had heavy hands , foreman had a big frame and natural brutal physical strength, tyson was packed of muscle and he was fast so it is =hitting power.
combatesdeboxeo 1 month ago
@BarrySlisk I don't know your experience with being hit, but a heavy handed person is usually slow but their force is strong. Mostly from sheer mass and natural brute force. I wouldn't call Tyson heavy handed but he had speed and power with lighter mass. George was just a natural Wood cutting Brawny guy. He had natural heavy punches. He just pound his man to sleep with those heavy blows. Hardest hitter ever IMO. Tyson would have a hard time with him.

Tyson said earlier this year that Ruddock made him not really want to fight anymore. He said he kinda broke his will. He said that his punches felt like MULE KICKS! :O

Sat what you want about Ruddock (slow left; no jab), but he has a chin and excellent abs.

razor had tyson in trouble in the 10th, watch and see how tyson walked on to a huge left hook and mike immediately tries to recover and weaves out of the way of all razors punches, this fight finished off razors career, he took a brutal beating to both head and body, 1 and half years later he fought lennox, and we all new what happened that night, big up to mike coz no one wanted to fight razor except tyson, holyfield was champ, tyson was no1 contender and razor no2 contender

evander would of never wanted to step into the ring with this beast of razor, come on mike fought him twice, i believe evander didn't want anything to do with ruddock, lewis never got touched by razor ruddock, one left hook and lennox would of been on cloud-9, lennox fought evander passed his best and tyson, but lennox was in his prime.

@TheCinderellaman10
