  • Just an update. My daughter had her surgery at The Sanders Clinic as you can see from my other post. Yesterday was 6 months but she has been back on the soccer field since 15 weeks. Ican tell you doctors have different opinions about how to go about this surgery. The first two opinions before going to Dr. Sanders were different from each other, they both had their own idea on what they would do and how long it would take to recover. We chose Dr. Sanders and have not looked back. Thanks Dr.

  • i'm 14 days after surgery. listen i'm not saying you can't do these excersizes, you can. but your taking an awfull risk. my doctor has me on cruches for 6 weeks. no matter how much of a hero you want to be the graft has to heal before you push it. listen to your doctor not these stupid videos.

  • @bayview63 But my doctor took this "stupid video". His On Staff Physical Trainer is the guy right next to me the whole time. Dr. Sanders himself is in one of the other rooms treating other patients. Your correct though, do as YOUR doctor tells you. BUT, if you went to Dr. Sanders for your surgery, you might already be done with your rehab by now.

  • thank you...

  • Fake & bullshit :)

  • This is very real. My 14 year old daughter just had her ACL repaired by Dr. Sanders on Wednesday August 3, 2011. Today is August 6, 2011 and she had done everything I have seen in the videos from the Sanders Clinic. She had a complete ACL reconstruction. She is already bending her knees to 145 degrees. Dr. Sanders has called everyday to the Therapist, Allen, to check on her progress. She is only three days out and started doing wall squats today.

  • hi, i'm 24years old boy from Pakistan .i have a knee problem but don't what disease name is. basically, i have a joints problem. including my wrist, knee, i can't stretch my legs too wide. i can run, jump, can play every game with little difficulty and pain sometimes but what i feel and stops me doing all is it looks abnormal.when i walk and my legs moves fro below knees, it moves outer side not straight like normal people. its like headache.all the time i think about it while walking :( reply ?

  • @KKHANK2 If any game causes pain it's best not to continue with it.. And you can look up kneeguru.co.uk for people with similar problems to yours and perhaps find out more information..

  • this cant be 5 days, bs. i got meniscus CL PATELLAR GRAFT and i cant even ut a lil pressure on it, and my surgeon is tops in the nation

  • @BustG - I had an ACL reconstruction and miniscus bucket tear and normal tear trimmed. I had my operation 5 days ago. I am awalking with no crutches.. slowly.. but walking. I could walk on it 4 hrs after the operation. Actually a bit worried about why I cam able to do so much so soon. 135 degree leg bend too. So this vid is not bullshit at all

  • @JaguarEarlobe how is that possible bro!? thats good. i had surgery now bout 5 weeks ago and my knee is extremely loose, idk y, but thats aewsome congrats

  • Comment removed

  • @JaguarEarlobe i d k... i waited like 5 yrs for surgery, due to financial prolems. but it seems like sanders clinic vids are borderline, unbelievable.. maybe its jus a good doc... my doc does milwaukee brewers, bucks. top ten in the nation

  • these videos are so stupid. it says he had surgery on his left knee but yet he's wearing pads and stockings on both and he was strugeling to push up on his right. nice fake video to try to get business dumbass

  • @evinger79 Apparently you don't read much. Dr. Sanders used 10mm off Patella tendon FROM MY LEFT KNEE to create an ACL for MY RIGHT KNEE. Therefore, both knees were operated on at the same time. Good luck with your surgery. Dave

  • @evinger79 yea well their is no way in hell he could do all this 5 days after

  • @evinger79 Well, that was me and yes it was 5 days after and yes, it hurt a lot. But that is the direction that I chose to go for a full and fast recovery.

You guys have a choice, it's your knee. Don't take what your favorite doctor says as gospel without at least checking around first.

At least making a few calls would be more productive than sitting here dissing this video.

What do you really have to lose??

  • I'm amazed at all the people that can watch my video and/or all the other videos and say that it is fake. Really!!? Just because you didn't have your surgery at Sanders Clinic and just because you couldn't do this, it must be fake right? I made many calls, checked many websites, and talked to many doctors before I let someone cut ME open. Sanders Clinic was the best. I flew from AZ to have this done. I paid for my own trip and my own hotel, because it was worth it. Do your homework first!!

  • @DecreasingDave99

    well impressed!

hope i'll heal at least ..regularly ;-P

having my right knee fixed in a week

cheers for the positive video :-)

  • I'm sorry but this cant be true. After my patella realignment surgery I couldnt stand vertical for a week and a half and that's not putting any weight at all on it. He is putting all his weight on one leg and pushing off of it. I couldn't do that for a month. If it is true, good for him. But from first hand experience it's almost impossible to believe.

  • what?! I wasn't allowed to walk for six weeks!

  • And congrats on a great recovery Dave.. .

  • I'm six days out and almost this strong. This IS possible. Don't be discouraged if it's taking longer - just keep working hard. Big ups to Dr. Art Bartolozzi at Penn. No one better. The man is superlative.

  • Actually, I started walking six days after my ACL reconstruction. It is possible.

  • There is absolutely no way in the world this is FIVE days after acl recunstruction. \

  • I have had 2 ACL reconstructions and I would just like to say that the text below the video which states "He walked out of the hospital the same day with no crutches or braces and came into the clinic the next day"..... Is absolute nonsense!!! Swelling persists for up to two months after surgery, irrespective of where you get it done.

I'm sure the clinic did well to get this guy sorted - but there is no need for such utter rubbish

  • @Keenangoal REALLY? Utter rubbish? Mine is not the first or the last video making this claim. I'm not affiliated with the Sanders Clinic any more than any other patient would be. I WALKED out of the hospital. I WALKED into his office THE NEXT DAY. Was it easy? HELL NO! Did it hurt? HELL YES! Fact is, it WAS DONE as I claim. Call them. If you're so sure that you are right and ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE WRONG, then why not call them and boost your ego........or learn the truth. Do the research first.

  • I'm still watching this video. It's almost ancient history now as my knee is stronger than ever. I can't say enough about Sanders Clinic. You owe it to yourself to at least check into them. There is no obligation, so why not ask all the questions you can for YOUR KNEE. Don't take whatever the first Doctor says as gospel. You may be amazed at what you find out. That is me in the video, my wife is there with me. This is real. My wife and I both agree that this was one of our best decisions yet.

  • Wow, I messed up my knee on July 3rd and I just found out today in an MRI that I have a torn ACL... I flipped my Honda XR 250 and it pinned my leg going down a hill and I wasn't wearing boots or knee pads so it hurt pretty bad

  • ummm im day 5 since my acl reco and i can bearly weight bear or extend my leg??

  • @alveyn2005 - thats perfectly normal alveyn. The rehabilitation timescales have been exaggerated here - hope your rehab is coming along well.

  • Well its 8 days after surgery now. Its coming along pretty good. The doc said range of motion is the easiest to get back. I am finding that extension is easier. BUT I work on full extension and it seems I loose ground on range of motion.

  • The worst part was when it happened. My buddy told me I went real Pale, Crosseyed, and started a cold sweat. Damn I hope I recover as good as this

  • @FreaK42WheelZ You will buddy the body has an amazing ability, which is the ability to heal, your in for some rough months but trust me you will be back better than ever

  • i had ACL surgery and i was on crutches for nearly 6 weeks. these people walking around after a week or two....thats insane. i never would have been able to do that.

  • @JMatthews0327 Yeah but this guy is a contracted athlete your doctors are being cautious and making sure the ligament has healed.

  • @JMatthews0327 - I totally agree - nobody can heal so quickly

  • Well I just got acl surgery but they took the patella from the same knee. I'm 7 days in right now and can't do any of that. I can't even walk :( I'm 18 and have a basketball scholarship already for next year and I'm a girl. Hopefully rehab goes well. They can't get me in until 2 weeks from now. Any at home tips?

  • a week?! ugh!!! I get this done on fri, well patella realignment, and u still cant walk after a weeK?! I just turned 15 and i can miss that muich school!!

  • @wwgagirl15 Straight leg lifts but ask your doc

  • well what there going to do with my knee is ither graph it from the hamstring or do a cadaver. . .because i damaged my patelluar tendon in a motorcross accident 2 years agao!!

yea i might just call them!!

well he told me that would be the healing time for my surgery after my femur and tibia heal!!

but yea ill check out that website and see what people are saying!!

    Thank you !!!

  • Tybill1,

Dr. Sanders has proven that by rebuilding your knee so that you can begin rehab immediately, you can maintain the flexibility that you had before the surgery. Typically Doctors immobilize your knee and your muscles begin to atrophy (become stiff) and then when you are finally released for rehab, you have to fight through that pain and lack of movement.

Call Sanders Clinic and at least ask some questions. It's your knee, get some info before you commit to anything. Good luck.

    Dave

  • hey 'decreasingDave'yea i deffenatly will because im only 14 and i want the best surgery that will last for my high risk and high impact sports!!

and im just interested where this clinic is because i will fly or drive where ever it is!!

but im intrested because i live in canada!!

  • @DecreasingDave Im gonna call him too lol, I just figured that this was only for contracted athletes. There is no doubt and Ive had it from past experience shoulder and knee the pains of rehab, but they are making sure the ligament is fully healed by putting you in a straight leg brace. Please would love to read your rebuttal

  • @Howboutthinking Haha, contracted athlete. I'm in Law Enforcement and popped my ACL while riding my dirtbike in the dunes. When I did my research I found the Sanders Clinic, more specifically, Dr. Mark (Sanders) from the Thumpertalk forum. He's the moderator for the "Health and Fitness" section.

Maybe the Sanders Clinic is not the best, maybe it's the worst, but how will you know unless YOU do some research. Call and ask questions. Ask every surgeon at every clinic. THIS IS YOUR KNEE!

  • @DecreasingDave I go to my doc Thursday, I'll pass these ideas by him and I shall call

  • Nice job Dave, Keep up the hard work and we'll both be riding soon.

  • I posted on some other Sanders Clinic videos defending their legitimacy, now I'm posting on my own Sanders Clinic video.

These folks are the real deal. I was told the standard "9 months until returning to normal activities" line too from my other surgeon. I wasn't able to live with that time line so I began my research and found the Sanders Clinic.

First off, don't rush into surgery. Do your research, and at least make the call and check out the Sanders Clinic.

    Good luck,

    Dave

  • hey i recently tore my acl in a snowcross accident(snowmobille racing)and i see and hear from normal surgery people take like 2 weeks befor they even feel good!

and i see here 5 days after you where up and moving !

which is increadible whats the difference betwene sanders clinic and normal surgery if there is that much of one???

if you could please reply that would be great!!

  • That is a question for Dr. Sanders. There are so many different ways to reconstruct a torn ACL, so what do you call normal? The one thing that stands out at Sanders Clinic is the recovery time after the surgery. Has your doctor told you 6 to 9 months before you can return? Call the Sanders Clinic and see what they say. I will be back to 100% in half the time my original doc was forecasting. I am so glad I found them to fix my knee!! Visit ACLCENTRALdotCOM to talk about your ACL injury.

  • and im also 14 so i want the best one thats going to last me the rest of my life and my healing time will be slower because i have a slightly weaker amune system
