@rayjr62 you right, and Joe Pass of course too, I would never doubt on Joe's statements! It's a simple true statement, that sounds funny, logical and wisdom.
Boy it would be surely a good thing if Ibanez were to bring back this JP-20 model with limited run production!!!Also the gb-20,a superb archtop{carved top}!
man...really too bad about the fall....the world lost one of the best boroque era electric guitar/acordian players, if only he wasnt blinded by shoe polish at such a young age he might have seen the missing manhole cover than caused his death
To play walking bass lines, chords and melodies at the same time is no easy feat, but Joe pulled it off flawlessly. He was an amazing talent with a superb command of the guitar. God rest his soul.
It's A Ibanez, it's the JB20 model, a great guitar, out of stock now. inspired by the D'Angelico ones.. in the '80 Japan produced wonderfull instruments..
No. It's a possible side effect of Hep C. Many heroin addicts contract Hep C through using dirty needles, but heroin doesn't "cause" it or liver cancer.
i have the whole video, it's really funny because he keeps forgetting what he was talking about, forgets words, sidetracks and repeats repeats himself a lot. he is aware of it and even makes jokes about it and cracks himself up. obviously he hadnt forgotten how to play tho : )
ahhh genreally true, but not in this case, the model he played was pretty good, I only got to play one, and while it wasnt for me, it is liked by jazz players, probably only because he played it tho...
Action and tone are two adjustable things. And by the way, learn how to spell actual words before you make an ass of yourself on a public comment post. Punctuation would also be wise to consider.
You cant say jazz with out saying negro. Blues came from Africa and mix it with some latin, french, and european influence with strong syncopation derived from afro-poly rhythms and you have jazz. but blues is jazz biggest influence. not my opinion read about it. you're damn right Joe Pass deserves respect you racist prick and every other jazz artist regardless of their color for that matter, From Louis Armstrong to Dave Brubeck...

ii and V are..?
ViaOSCard 1 year ago
@ViaOSCard
"ii" is a minor chord formed on the second degree of the scale. "V" is a major chord formed with the fifth degree of the scale being the root.

@foxjumper
funny.. I know that already.. the video just cuts out when Joe says "ii and V are.." so I.. pointed that out .
