  • I prefer this to the obnoxious hitting of buckets, that's for sure.

  • Alien instrument lol.

  • Szép=Nice.

  • this song sounds so familiar but i have never heard this instrument before yesterday does anyone know what it is called?

  • @Animehem to me it sounds a bit in some parts like "struggle for pleasure" from Wim Mertens..

  • @Animehem hang drum

  • i herd that song frome a nother guy

  • fucking beautiful..

  • Actually, you have to be quite rich to buy a hang.

  • I would laugh if its actually a recording inside the thingy and hes just moving his hands :D (P.s i know its not)

  • magic

  • i think its one of those instruments where as a drummer, first time playing i could make a decent tune because its such a beautifully working sound, but if you practice (like this guy..) you make music of other worlds..

  • amazing...

  • how awesome is that

  • it's how you unlock akuma (omg thumbs for that right now for my awesome spot).

  • what is the name of this instrument?

  • Thumbs up for Snoop Dog look alike :) haha

  • street musicians can make 20 pounds an hour untaxed dont sniff at it. You dont even need to pay for a license in some areas

  • you must be in the zone which is fun if you got the rhythm

  • I don't know if my comment will make any difference or not to you , But I stand up in your honor . You are amazing , and I love that you are doing what you love . I can see the love you have for your talent in your hands , and touch . You are very blessed to have something like this . So I raise my glass to you sir , and I pray that you continue to do what you do so well . God Bless !

  • This instruent sounds cool but it's not realy impressing me on a basis of skill, I have the feeling i could learn this in one day. Is it hard to get the right sound out of the hang?

  • @dudeguybloke its not meant to be impressive skill-wise man. it was actually created for meditation, and just sounds beautiful if its played nicely. this is not the best video to watch to hear the real beauty of it

  • Somehow this sounds and looks realy easy... its like a triangle or smt.

  • that is a hell of a lot of money for an instrument that can only play one tune in one key.

  • yes it's peaceful music, and sounds cool. But professional musicians have practiced 10,000 in their lifetimes. Nonetheless, hang drum is the SHIZZZ

  • Its a lifestyle. Simplicity. Stay minimal your whole life. And you have no worries.

Its what they are doing. They are free

  • I wonder what he's cooking XD

  • To all the people who have a problem with with street musicians: the famous violinist Joshua Bell, performed incognito in a subway as an experiment by the Washington Post. Of the over 1000 people passed him by, only 7 stopped. So even when it's someone who's actually famous, you pieces of trash don't know how to appreciate something beautiful like music.

  • @elementcircle

But... although I don't have a problem with street-musicians, what does that mean?

I mean, Joshua Bell actually sucks? Or that they won't stop and listen and hear good music BECAUSe he was standing on the streets?...

I guess the latter, but yeah...

I think it's great if they make good music on the streets, kinda improves the atmosphere and all too.

  • I was so sad when it ended :(

  • very interesting musician, but whats with all the inconsiderate people constantly walking in front of you while you're trying to record him playing?

  • Just because somebody plays music on the street doesn't make them a bum... Remember how music used to be played by somebody talented because that was all you could get? There were no radios or music players... Music brings people joy, and it is a gift to have somebody play for you.

  • There's a face in the window at the start of this.

  • @darthpedro136 so creepy T_T !

  • what instrument is this?

  • @nesteratu it's a Hang, read the title ;)

  • ive never heard anything more magical in my 12 years of life

  • man that has some sick sound.

  • your hang sounds like it doesn't want to sing for you... why so forceful trevor?

  • can't believe this, this sound is magical O_o

  • its very nice...

  • what if hes finger get stucked in the hole?

  • @Luccasio1 the only hole in that thing is at the bottom. it is big enough for you whole hand

  • same endless beat ,it stinks sorry, wanna see some real hang work look at dante bucci's stuff ,that man is amazing on the hang, this guy bites!

  • sounds like the x-files, alien music

  • I just traveled through time and space.

  • hes not brillaint on this hang

  • Trevor Namaste - The best hang destroyer around the world.

  • omg a ufo! hhehehe pure talent btw :D

  • heyheyhey that's a swiss instrument!!!

  • those instruments are SO FUCKIN EXPENSIVE :(

  • He is not poor. He is an artist whose audience are the people walking by. Celebrated musician, John Butler who still busks despite his fame, said in an interview that his main musical aim was simply to get his music heard.

  • Namaste Trevor

  • damn i cryed! great soul music!

  • i saw this men when i gone to amsterdam two weeks ago! this guy is amazing

  • if hang drums cost 1500 dollars then he's not poor. it 1500 dollars+skill. that's expensive :)

  • this ins´t soooooo tough !

  • If you think about it too that HAS to be really physically demanding. Just look at his hands and arms and how fast there going, try hitting a pillow or something that fast for a full 3 minutes...ouch!

  • (street musician-musician playing on the street.) ......

i love it, this is sick.

  • bello!!

  • This man

    HAS A TALENT !! ;O

    my god !!...

there are so many talented people ON EARTH !!

hey.. u never know what your talented in ;P

  • Snoop Dogg is on a side project it seems...

  • @G3JIMAYU This guy way more good than SD...

  • love it

  • very nice wow :)different level of music .the future echo vibration of the universe.

  • That is Trevor Namaste

  • Davide Swarup

  • I don't understand why people have this aversion to "street" musicians. Like somehow playing for free for everybody makes you a bum?

"I have a good job, but apparently I have to play big concerts like the Rolling Stones...."

  • @ cowboystitching Agree!

  • Comment removed

  • @cowboystitching

I agree with you to some extent. If you think about it they're aren't really playing for free...well yes it's free but they accept you giving them money, which gives us the idea that they need it. Street musicians always have a hat out or a bucket to accept money, and that's when we get the idea the person is poor.

  • @sebastianave regardless of a person's income level, somebody deserves to make money for their time.

  • @cowboystitching

True, but it's more often than not that a street musician is homeless. So it's hard to not think of a street musician as a homeless man...especially when they have a white long beard, ripped pants and teeth that looked like they've been sitting in acid for 10 years. :/

  • @sebastianave This conversation is becoming circular I'm afraid.

  • @cowboystitching I know a guy who's a professional studio musician, plays with massive global talents, and yet plays on street corners for free for people in Toronto, and goes underappreciated. He thinks it's kinda funny in a sense that so many people just don't want to stop for a minute to hear something great.

  • @cowboystitching no its not tht its just usually people who have to perform there craft sitting down with a change jar in front of them usually means theyre homeless

  • @westbankbeast1 No it doesn't, you silly person. How much do you think instruments cost? Free to bums?

A hang is almost impossible to get these days, and its closest relative (in my opinion) the halo, is $1500, and a year long waiting list. When i busk out on the street to make some extra cash, i do it with a 5 grand instrument, in order to avoid damage to my 10 grand instrument i use for booked gigs.

Don't be a snob, and appreciate good music wherever and whomever it comes from.

  • @iamjurell well then he suks cause hes not playin in a concert hall or anything

  • @westbankbeast1 Yeah, cos there are so many hang concertos. Don't be a snob. You should be more impressed that talent like this wishes to share it for free on the street.

I HAVE played in concert halls, once even as a soloist, and I play on the street too.

  • @cowboystitching very much agreed...

  • @cowboystitching So true, you said it all.

  • fuking comments it's a realy good song. Long life mister

  • pfffft schön*;O)

  • I wanted to -1...

You are just stupid and shortminded.

  • This is nothing like rap music

  • @Libanass your ears are fucked up mate

  • wait a sec, a daft punk listener is telling me that my ears are fucked up

    nevermind..

I'd like to see your videos ..I read you're a bass player

I just don't see anything hard about playing a hang, maybe because I'm used to play music and well maybe I'm wrong, I've never tried one before in my life.

  • @Libanass daft punk isnt the only thing im listening too, unless you can do better(playing a hang) dont say it sounds like nothing

  • Some bass and we got fucking good house music...

  • i think the money is just for apreciate his engagement

  • nice work, fuck 50cent

  • He looks like snoop dogg btw rofl.

  • Not everyone who plays in the streets is poor.

I saw a string quartet once

  • Why is he playing for money on the street, when that drum is like sooooooooooooooo expensive?

Someone that buys that is most likely to have a very good job or has rich parents. Either way, does not need to be playing on the street. There are lots of other places to go to show their talents in my opinion.

  • maybe he had a good job but became a musician and started playing in the streets

  • A lot of musicians prefer the street environment to the stage.

  • Some people just enjoy showing their talents for entertainment to other people.

Stop acting like such a jacked up dick man.

    Respect for this musician. 5/5

  • Why, in your opinion, is playing music on the street such a bad thing? This is not an indicator that the artist is poor, homeless, or not talented enough to play somewhere more "worthy". I love encountering street musicians and appreciate the opportunity to hear them play in public whenever I can. But I guess we all can't frequent Carnegie Hall... :D

  • @blissefan no way is the musician poor. haha hangdrums are around 1,500 bucks apeace XD

  • @ninja2217 if you reread my earlier comment, I said that playing on the street doesn't mean that a person is poor. Also, when PANArt first started selling hanghang, they were around $300-$400, so they haven't always been as expensive/difficult to obtain as they are at this point. sigh.

  • @blissefan

lol if he can afford a Hang he is NOT poor. He simply does it out of pleasure, I assume.

  • his name is trevor namaste and his youtube channel name is: trevornamaste

I just bought his cd like 2 days ago a really nice guy also ;)

  • he's not david swarup

  • the musician is david swarup!!!

  • Nuh Davide Swarup is (No offense) white, and he haves dreads.

  • don't like this one... :/ nothing special of a composition. just compare him with the amsterdamer..

  • agreed

  • Snoop Doog Plays Hang :D

  • costs 500-700bucks like this one

  • Im starting to think on every street in amsterdam there is someone playing one of these. Almost every video is from amsterdam. I do enjoy the sound. I might even end up going to amsterdam now.

  • its just the one guy, his names david swarup, and its worth going! full of random stuff like him!

  • hey men! what is this instrument?

  • that's a hang drum, really expensive

  • Amazing!

  • super Instrument und sehr schöne Musik

  • bought the cd today:)

  • his name is TREVOR NAMASTE and i love his music

  • just randomly playing notes, anyone can play the same way..

  • i bet you just listend for like 20 seconds?

  • listened more than a minut to make up my mind and after listening to it once again, I assume what I've said. Comparing to what manu delango can play, this vid is worthless imho.

  • It's true, he's just jamming I guess. But it does sound nice.

  • actually you're right. once you remember where all the notes are, anyone with a sense of rythm can play a hang decently well. plus the notes are organized in a single scale so that no matter what order you play them in, you'll never hit an off note. it's kind of like playing the black keys on a piano

  • Esse eu respeitei!

  • Brilliant!

  • wow

  • It seems like he's overtly right hand dominant and rarely changes it up with left handed accents. But sweet!

  • Just to clarify its spelt Hang, but its pronounced Hung with almost an o sound to the u.

  • man that song sounds like heaven cool vid did give him money?

  • nice video here! this is Trevor Namaste a great hangplayer from Amsterdam.

  • music for those who wants to fly

  • whereee i can find an hang?!?!?! wheeeree?!??!

  • the only way I know is getting to Bern in Switzerland, but you have to order it like 6 months before because they produce only 1 or 2 a day and there is a lot of demand.

it costs 600 euros up. the company's name is hang panart ag
