i tried this amp its TOTALLY KICKASS and very versatile with all of its shenanigans but i wish it had a power attenuator pan-pot from like 10watts-100 and everything in between...i dont want to blow my ears off or the neighbors calling the fucking cops on me all the time, its a shame it dosent come out as a combo too with 2X12's
@robbwylde2002 Well, thank you very much! That means a lot! If you know of any killer gear companies you'd like to see me do demos for, pass this video along to them. I'm a big time gear nut. ;)
@ThomasMetal75 I've only been hearing football references for 15 years now. One of my favorite past times is screwing with telemarketers when they think I'm the football player. Hiliarity ensues....at least it does for me.
Wow, I've never seen an amp have so many awesome features on it, especially a tube amp. And the tone is awesome and really is versatile. I'm seriously going to do more research on this since I've never heard it before now but it looks and sounds great.
@Kenman22 It's a killer amp all the way & H&K doesn't get enough credit in the metal world. This particular model is way up there with Engl, Diezel & Bogner in terms of versatilty.
@revsharp777 I was just curious as to why you sold the coreblade for the invader...i am actually in the market for one of these two amps myself to go side by side with my roadster (can't wait to aby an american tone with a german tone live! ) anyways..i'm sure most would say that the invader has it's OWN character where as the coreblade does not...but i'd like to think the coreblade still has some of hughes and kettners character tone they are famous for...correct me if i'm wrong please :)
@PowerOfMusic13 I went through a phase of checking out a variety of high end tube amps. Plus, I'm a gearwhore. LOL. Anyway, I hold both amps in the highest regard & you can't go wrong with either one of them. The Coreblade is awesome since you can save every setting via midi preset & has a great onboard noise gate. The Invader, while not as many midi features, has the most articulate hi-fi tone I've ever come across. Both are sold & I'm now using a Fractal Audio Axe-Fx Ultra.
i just bought one of these and i love it but i was thinking of buying an amptweaker tightdrive pedal to go with it. is it best to put it in the fx loop or in front of the amp. i've heard it's best in front of the amp to push the pre-amp tubes. is this true. thanks.
@awesomejohnnet Well, thank you very much! That means a lot! If you know of any killer gear companies you'd like to see me do demos for, pass this video along to them. I'm a big time gear nut. ;)
Sounds good, How does the coreblade hang in a band mix? i'm using a line6 vetta @ the monent and no matter how much mids i add i get drowned out. Any comments back on the coreblade would help cuz i'm ready to pull the trigger on one, thanks
Great demo! I am debating getting this thing. Kind of a dumb question but does it still sound good on high gain sounds on low volumes? Thanks Man, Great playing btw
@burnedoutgolfer Yes! I use this at home to practice & even with the master volume @ 1, it sounds killer. Keep in mind, you have 128 midi presets you can create, so there's plenty of room to make live presets & quieter practice presets....should you choose to.
I like the fact that you break down all the features from the get go and put them into layman terms. The amp is pretty amazing especially the self bias feature.
The part about the memory stick was cut out. What exactly is that all about?
This is a great product demonstration by a very sharp guitarist. I like the detail he went into emphasizing the different features the amp has. I'm a Mesa player, and I've honestly never heard of this amp. I may look into it because of the features on it, like integrating MIDI into tube head technology. Simply an awesome idea!!
The riff choices were dead-on to my tastes too! :) Great review!
Amp sounds really great, and those are some unique features. I'm surprised you don't see some of those features more often. Nice to hear a variety of tunes for each channel too, and it pretty much nails them all.
@eleven59 Thanks, man! Given that I also have a variety of gigs going on, it's a very flexible amp that allows me to cover a wide array of tones. And with the built-in effects & midi presets, I can have a lot of sounds at my disposal & my footboard got a lot smaller as well.
Overall, not bad for a 1st video. I've already had several friends critique it & I'm learning more about video production as I go. Definately fun stuff & I plan to do more of it.

i know you said that the amp is very loud but how low can it go and still get in the butter zone?

@E645 I sold it recently to fund an Engl Invader 100. However, the thing is pretty easy to dial in. Just start twisting knobs!
