With that type of wet clay soft on top hard under lockers with those tires would not have done a thing but cause thhe jeep to trade ends more by sliding even more. You could have had a winch or tire chains with the chains you would have driven with a pair on the rear right in and out as for lockers sometimes they can be your best friend or your enemy. Invest in a decent winch and a few ground anchors...and have at it.

Actually my trany and t-case were fine. My gueage read allrite. the 4x4 was engaged, just have open diffs front and rear. Had a bit of water in the front diff but nothing in anything else. Air intake is high enough and isn't in the open so it was ok.

I know that tranny and transfercase was getting hot. At times it didnt seem like the 4 wheel drive was engaging properly. What is that ERRRRRRR sound, transfer case??? I would be scared water would get up in the engine
