  • nice chewn

  • I live near Mt Angel and have gone during this prayer time. The Gregorian chants are beautiful!

  • Benedyktyni w Tyńcu nie tak śpiewają ... Szczególnie godzinki i pieśni gregoriańskie. Polecam!

  • O kyrie é muito linda é uma inspirção Divina eu amo ser católico e fazer parte do exército do Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.

  • "God's there acting and if that's God acting, then let's be quiet 'till its over. Let's absorb that......let's think about it."

Words of wisdom indeed to be remembered while in mass or any Sacrament for that matter.

  • Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel

Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night

Kyrie eleison, where I'm going will you follow

Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light

  • So very well done. Thank-you for presenting this and teaching.

  • This sounds beautiful :) I'm not Catholic, but I love the songs like "Kyrie Eleison"

  • Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures. I wish no more than this, O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul; I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands, without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father.
  • To be catolic is fantastic.

  • Kyrie, eleison.

    Christe, eleison.

    Kyrie, eleison.

  • There is a very beautiful choral version of it sung in the film Casque d'or.

  • just awesome... proud to be christian catholic

  • the words though are coming right from the orthodox east : Kyrie eleison Christe eleison=Κύριε ελέησον, Χριστέ ελέησον ( greek).

  • My great grandmother was an iliterate who knew all these latin songs by memory and she used to tell me the stories about the way the mass was. I think that it will be good having these kirie eleison in the mass again since it is used by the ortodox and the ethiopian ortodox as well.

  • perfect :)

  • i want tobe a monk

  • Deo Gratias

  • God bless you Stormmarc.

  • Let us consider that the lord and his Angels are always present

  • it's so true that mass should be respectful. we have 6 whole days and 23 other hours to be however we want with our faith, so why not take one hour to pay respectful tribute to the most powerful force in existence?

  • Kurie Eleison .. from the greek.. Lord have mercy.

  • good

  • Latin must return to our churches as a matter of urgency.

  • I do fully agree with your views. Allow me though to remark that in this case it is not Latin, but Greek (it means "God have mercy").

  • real urgency. Solemnity must return to the mass.

  • not to the orthodox church buddy

  • @soldier9718 You are a schismatic! The Orthodox Churches are sister Churches with the Roman Catholic Church: they all have the same Lord, the same Sacraments, the same Grace!

  • @protopresvyter sorry. ur mistaken. THE ORTHODOX CHURCH, not churches, may have the same god and roots as the catholic church. but your church has been corrupted by popes. it still is holy and pure, just hidden by the corruption the popes have caused

  • @soldier9718 No! The Orthodox ChurcES is correct: they are a federation of Sister Churches worshipping the one God with the same Divine Liturgy. Fortunately, though not Orthodox in the common parlance sense of the word, my church has NOT been corrupted by popes! I am a Melkite-Greek Catholic holding to the insightful, ecumenical vision of the late Metropolitan of Baalbeck, Archbishop Elias Zoghby and the present Most Blessed Patriarch of Kiev, Lubomir Cardinal Husar.

  • @protopresvyter oh yh? hasnt it? do melkites believe in purgatory

  • @soldier9718 In Spe Salvi Pope Benedict XVI propounds a 'doctrine' of 'purgatory' that coincides beautifully with the parameters of the Orthodox Tradition. These both express my faith perfectly!

  • @protopresvyter ohhhhh yhh ok so the pope made it up :) although it is mentioned nowhere in the bible. and ets not forget the parable of the rich man and lazarus. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. luke 16:26

  • Hail Christ our King!

    Pax vobis.

  • et cum spiritu tuo

  • MrMichael446...say what? what a smart guy. can u share w/the rest of us..?

  • Who is the composer of this chant? Any Opus Number?

  • I do not know the composer, but it is from the Missa de Angelis

  • thanks bro!

  • very good

    Muito Bom

  • God Bless Holy Mother Church.

    Pax Vobiscum.

  • Maravilhoso...

  • Bem Aventurado o que descobre:

O meu corpo é verdadeira comida e o meu Sangue é verdadeira Bebida...

Senhor , nós cremos.Mas aumnetai a nossa fé..

  • thank you

  • I attend a Tridentine Mass on Sundays, in Calgary Alberta Canada, at St. Anthonys. The Mass is run by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. Its beyond words.

  • to the posters below. im not sure where u are getting some of your insight from. "most" catholic videos brining out the usual suspects? perhaps some of the ones that deal with pre-V2 or the novus ordo. but lets not get carried away here by making that kind of statement...perhaps u havent been to some blasphemous N.O. masses, but i have. for an anglican, i value your comments and how u appreciate such videos. but with all due respect, how many catholics poke their nose into anglican affairs

  • how many catholics tell u how to say your mass or how your liturgy should be? its none of our business what u do. so leave the catholic mass to catholics. if some want to complain about the N.O. they have every right to. its videos like these, that remind catholics of their tradition, and whats been lost after V2. i repeat...whats been LOST. and with all due respect to your catholic relatives that have no desire to return to the tridentine mass, im not sure they should be the standard.

  • many people do want the return of the tridentine mass, or atleast it said more often. we are still in the minority but our numbers are growing.

  • I only recently saw your comments. Thank you for a generally measured response (and modest about holding a minority view). I was under the impression that Fr. Driscoll's book dealt with the N.O. mass. Not so? As to "poking their nose etc", Please google Ratzinger/Anglican and you will note Benedict while a cardinal became a partisan involved in internal Anglican disputes. But forgiveness is a Christian virtue so I don't hold a grudge.

  • I agree with the last post....but both Mass's can be used. Just as there are High Church and Low Church Anglican's. I my self love the Latin Mass, But both are good. Pax

  • You don't have to be R.C. to appreciate this video (Anglican here). I find it curious-and sad-that R.C. videos tend to bring out the usual suspects: those who need to condemn the Church of Rome on the one hand and the Ultramontane wing of the Church who never miss an opportunity to carp about the Novus Ordo Mass. Most of my relatives are R.C. and 40 yrs. on have no wish to reinstate the Tridentine rite. Can't all Christians just bask in the spirituality of this video and praise Him in his Name.

  • I'm a Roman Catholic. I like your post, as it hits the nail on the head. I find that most replies to Catholic videos tend to condemn the Church.

  • Thank you thank you thank you!

With prayers and all best wishes from the UK.

  • Go Fr. Jeremy!

  • Thank you for sharing this uplifting video.

    Thank you Lord !

  • Wow! This is sublime. Angelic voices in action. Yes, the meeting of heaven and earth, attended by the angelic host and mere mortals from earth. Just incredible. Thank You Lord for this great miracle of the ages. Just awesome!

    Many, many thanks for sharing.

    Welldone and God bless †

  • I totaly agreed with u too.

  • Beautiful chant.Only thing that I do not like is: all look (inside the church and the Mass) to much as those " Novus Ordo Churches".Pax.

  • Exactly. I wish they had an altar instead of a "holy table." Ugh.

  • Wonderful! I start the day off with this video. Thank you

  • good 4 u. GOD has given u a perceptive veiw/heart. MrMichael. PAX.

  • where is that church?

  • The Church is Mount Angel Abbey in St Benedict Oregon.

  • I thought USA was mainly evangelist, and there were scarce Catholic members

  • The USA has plenty of Catholics, roughly 60 million, though many of them act like Protestants and pick and choose whatever beliefs suit them.

The USA's extremes are what make the international news: shooters, lunatics, screaming preachers, political demagogues, billionaires, hermits, and occultists. Daily life in the USA is not Hollywood.

Your parish and mine are not much different. Indeed roughly one quarter of my parish speaks Spanish as a first language.

  • Wow! You do run down your country leasurely, but truly. I was told once that being a Catholic in the States does not give people a good impression, since it is a religion coming from the underdeveloped countries of America. Is it true?

  • Catholicism in the USA has always come from the bottom up rather than the top down. Becoming Catholic has seldom been a method for social and political advancement. Catholics, nonetheless, have prospered here, whether Irish, Italian, Polish, German, or Mexican. Catholics are not a permanent underclass. Catholics get to live the American dream. I will say, however, living in the South, that it can still stop a conversation when you tell a Baptist you are Catholic.

  • @StormMarc Not quite. It is Mt. Angel Abby in Mt. Angel, OR. It is a Benedictine abbey.

  • @eamonob84
