Both Ella and Karen were wonderful singers. Ella had wonderful voice and phrasing, Karen had wonderful voice and energy. They both died from harsh diseases diabetes and anorexia. Wish they were still around. God has two angels up with him.

This was a great special. You can tell Karen was sick in this one but still her vocals were clear and strong as ever. She left us way too young.

mstewart61, yes Karen doesn't look well. I wish they had known more about how to treat anorexia nervosa back then. I think Karen did finally get a handle on things but by the time she did her body and heart had been stressed too much. That voice still came through. I miss you Karen but I bet you're singing in Heaven along with all the rest of the wonderful singers that are there.
