  • All these were good routines, but not great. I'm surprised she won gold in AA

  • my dauter can do gymnastics and she is in level ten

  • I think Komova was playing safe so she wouldnt risk another injury like Mustafina at the Europeans. Komova's mother was a world champion, so Komova knew she had high standards, and probably melted under the pressure of pulling a gold medal for Russia in the team and AA finals like Mustafina. Her surgery factored in as well. Komova definetly can hit more difficulty, especially on vault and beam. But playing safe, Wieber took advantage of that. She was smart in that.I congratualte her for her win.

  • i'd like to slap the girl's in the back screeching.....jordyn needs to keep a clear head.....it doesn't help with those nasty voices in the back

  • i can't even touch my toe

  • WHAT I DONT UNDERSTAND is why ppl care abt the minor infractions sooooooo much! do u see what these 16 year old girls girls are doing?! i cant do a CARTWHEEL for my life!

  • Those damn poles always look like they are going to snap it makes me so damn nervous

  • She stepped out and she still won? I can't believe that

  • Next year at London the battle will be very heated. It will be like Shushunova vs Silivas again. Even though Jordyn and Komova aren't as decorated as them, but both with super skills and it's going to be really really close. Did I say Mustafina will also join the battle

  • I would just like to point out that she landed out of bounds, not stepped out of bounds. Look really closely.

  • I really like these commentators. They're very supportive

  • She's so great!!!!!! I have a great feeling that she will be the next big gymnast like shawn and nastia were!!!!! cuz she won the visa championships, and now worlds!!!!! next its just the olmpics!!!! :D good luck jordyn!!!!

  • I can't believe she won the all-around WC with these perfromances...she had errors all over the place on all four sections.

  • wow. when jordyn wieber sticks a landing, she sticks a damn landing.

  • It really pisses me off when the Russians say that Komova was entitled to the gold medal. Jordyn's vault was better, her beam set was better, and her floor was better. Jordyn's only deficit was on bars. Komova is a beautiful gymnast, but I definitely think the gold medal went to who deserved it.

  • Maybe its because Jordyn is standing on the top podium but she looks way bigger than everyone else.

  • I love the fact that the Komova Stans has already draped the Olympic All around gold medal on her neck...Bwahahaha havent yall learned that she cant handle the pressure, yet yall continue to add more..Unfortunately I believe Komovas best days are behind her

  • Everyone need to stop the whole nonsense of Viktoria Komva is the real world champion. I love Viktoria but Jordyn Wieber got 1st. Come on she is 16 its hard enough for her to take in she won and its worse to be told practically she doesnt deserve it its like being told you arent as good as you think you are. She is 16 and if Komova really deserved 1st then we will see what happens in london 2012 but for now our world champion is Jordyn Wieber.

    Go Jordyn Wieber<3

  • Still can't believe how well Jordyn recovered on the bars. That could have been a disaster, but she was like, "Oh hell no!"

  • @dramaqueen7995 i agree i so hope she can do it! i would love to see her win in London!

  • I'm very niece when it comes to the rules of gymnastics...is there a rule regarding age? Because the Russian looked to be 16-18 and the chinese competitor looked 8-10 years old O_O

  • @Trackmaster14 Yes there is! To compete in World's and the Olympics a gymnast must be 16 years old. China has a history of sending competitors who are not of age...

  • I like the BBC commentary better. It's not as biased and they actually tell you what the gymnast is doing. They can replace. Tim, Al and Elfi for I all I care!!

  • @dramaqueen7995 I completely agree! Tim and Elfi especially sound like they know nothing about gymnastics sometimes, they just ramble!

  • Okay, so I am a huge Komova fan, BUT if I were to tell her something at the moment when they were getting their pictures taken holding their medals, I would say: Smile, asshole.

  • Wieber is head strong I'm for sure she isn't at all worried about Komova the girl who likes to give up after a simple mistake and jump off the apparatus

  • Does anybody know what her music is? It's very strange but she makes it work.

  • @xraintimex "Wild Dances" by Ruslana. It won Eurovision a few years back. It's one of my favorite floor routines. :)

  • She deserved the world title.

  • The BBC analysis team made the competition much more enjoyable to watch here on Youtube.

Instead of the boneheaded, nonsensical triad of Little Timmy/Alfie/Al Schnoutwig, can NBC just use the BBC audio commentary for next yr's Olympics?

  • @sucsrfeswa NBC Universal sports does in fact use the BBC commentary for any events that they don't send the triad to cover. If you go look up the team final for mens on NBC they have the videos posted with BBC commentary. Oh and if you like their commentary definitely watch the 2008 men's videos they have posted like Jonathon Horton High Bar... then Justin Spring High Bar... that man deserves a biscuit!

  • @ULibby oh the 2008 ones are one Youtube not NBC

  • it's basically a tie for first. Russians do tend to throw snits about losing though. Not pretty.

  • Komova will be out for revenge next year.

    Jordyn needs to keep focus.

  • I train at her gym! I train level 4 at Gedderts Twistars Gymnastics Club in Dimondale, MI! I've seen the all-around world champion train live!! OMG! Love you Jordyn, we're proud of you!

  • GREAT JOB JORDYN!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • actually jordyn disserved this ... her bar score was wayyy too low 4 that tiny mistake

  • nobody has the right to blame jordyn for komovas lost of the gold medal!!! everybody should be glad for her... reguardless any of those athletes deserved it anyway because they have worked hard their whole life for that and at the end the best wins anyway

  • Jordyn understood she made mistakes but never gave up and fought hard after bars. What I'm so impressed about is her respect for the sport and other competitors. When Komova finished her floor routine, Jordyn was the first to tell her "good job" probably believing she (Jordyn) was getting the silver. Congratulations on winning this title, Jordyn!

  • Every time I watch Jordyn compete (especially floor) I always get chills, and cant stop smiling! I LOVE HER! I am so happy for her and the USA! Congrats Wieber!

As to Komova... What a bad attitude! Pooooor sport...

  • @gymnastjaiderz it seems like alot of russian gymnasts are like that...like look at mustafina

  • So glad Jordyn won! But Komova is suck a poor sport! I mean come on, no hug or congrats. Totally ignoring everyone having her own little meltdown. I hate to say it but Komova is a brat and this whole world championships proved it! She should be ashamed! And I hope she regrets acting like this.

  • I'm soo happy for Jordyn, she's my favorite gymnast and has been for a while and she definitely deserved this soo much. I love that she cried, she was so happy she won and as for Komova, it seems like maybe she isn't a good sport? I mean I can understand that she cried when she first found out Jordyn beat her, but she should have been smiling on the podium, she's the 2nd best gymnast in the world that's pretty amazing, you'd think she'd be happy but the Russians do look for perfection i guess

  • sooo happy for her she deserved it! this is seriously like history repeating itself 2007 woman won gold in the team final in germany and shawn won the all around hmmm wonder what will happen in 2012

  • @iHaTeSwEeTtEa Let's just hope Jordyn can break the curse!! So far no US woman that won an AA at Worlds the year before the Olympics has went on to win the AA at the Olympics. Carly Patterson was 2nd in the AA at Worlds!! I have faith that Jordyn can do it though, her gymnastics is solid and she is amazing!!!!

  • Jordyn is such a tough, focused competitor. I agree that she was much more consistent throughout the championships. Kimova had more errors and bigger errors than Jordyn. There is always going to be controversy in a judged sport. It's the nature of the beast. This was Jordyn's day! Way to go Jordyn! Well-deserved...

  • I can't imagine what it must feel like to lose the gold by .033 points

  • gah... i wish there were slow motion replays on this!

but i'm so happy for jordyn. she's more consistent and deserved to win overall.

  • Oh My God! It seems like every time the Americans win the Gold, the Russians bitch and moan about it! They were pissed about silver in the Team event in 1996 when they yanked off their silver medals, Irina Slutskaya's silver medal in Figure Skating at the 2002 Olympics when they protested the results, then Mustafina making a big deal about Jordyn Weiber being at the American Cup this year and then THIS with Komova! Poor sportsmanship is a recurring theme with the Russians!

  • @jmburry Let's not forget that Khorkina still thinks she should have won over Patterson. She blaimed the judges b/c she thinks she lost b/c of her nationality.Plushenko still thinks he won gold even though Lysacek did better.Seriously, they do this all the time.

  • @skategurl1102 - OMG!! Don't worry I didn't forget, I just didn't have enough room to post that because of the character limits....LOL! But, yes you are absolutely correct! It's just easier to blame the Americans for everything because we work our asses off AND can perform when it counts! I can't even remember all the times that Michelle Kwan came ahead Slutskaya/Butirskaya (or insert any other Russian name here) and it was always a bitch fest with them after the results came out ....

  • And I thought I could do a good handstand

  • I feel bad for Komova, but this was Jordyns night. Throughout all of worlds so far, Komova showed very poor sportsmanship and this could have came to bite her in the butt. I think Wieber's all around performance was better than komova's.

  • the AA routines of a champion. we all make mistakes, we're human!

  • I have a screen shot of Komova's last pass on floor, but I can't post it here. It's just about an .8 deduction if it isn't already, plus didn't she lose the bonus for that skill alone. Stop the video and see for yourselft when she lands the double pike..

  • I don't get what the hype is. Jordan was overall better, clearly on 3 events. What's the big deal. Komova had big errors on floor, her deep squat where she almost touched the floor on her last pass plus the fall out of the double turn, Jordan only stepped out of bounds, she was not short on any of her landings, Komova was way short on the last, slight short on the triple and bounced out of the simple double tuck. That's 4 things that tood away from the routine.

  • @bamagym She also hit her feet on the bar during a release move on high bar.

  • I love Komova, but this was Jordyn's to win. Jordyn's mistake on bars was not as significant as the mistakes Komova made overall. Jordyn has been more consistent all week. However, London will probably be another story.

  • @LoveAndGymnastics I think Jordyn can edge out Komova again in London. She will be adding a lot more difficulty.

  • The scores are the scores, but, Weiber doesn't look like a champion.

  • @meggzamillion It's not america..plus vika had some problems on beam and floor. This does not mean that either gymnast is bad. The judges just gave it to the person they thought did the best over all. I'm proud of both. If Jordyn got the silver I still would be proud

  • @meggzamillion Read Wiki article about America - it's in the first three lines ;) I just want to point out that she did not win, she was judged a winner. It's not javelin where you win by throwing it further than your competitors. 90 meters is 90 meters, regardless of your opinion. In gymnastics, you win by making judges feel that you did better - and it's not totally up to Jordyn. Other factors are important and create bias - such as judges' predisposition that the US team is the shit.

  • yeah, and nobody is surprised about the very convenient 14.333 grade. 14.333, really? Just enough to put Komova 0.033 behind - good job, team America.

  • @lllerlll Jordyn doesn't control the scores. Neither does Komova. Both did what they did, and the judges gave them what THEY felt they deserved. The gymnasts should not be blamed for any possible biases in judging. This sport is often unfair, something we've witnessed time and time again over the years. I'm happy for Jordyn, and I feel for Vika, but I think they'll both come into EF fighting with all they have.

  • Go Jordyn. I knew you could do it. So proud.

  • I luv that she cried. Its like when nastia cried at the olympics. Both were so focused until the won. Its sweet
