For people who have problems like this, jailbreak your phone, download Color Profiles from cydia, apply collor efect "Bold" and set the sliders as much as you want. You can make it look colder or warmer, and all. If you want me to make a video on it send me a message

its not screen defect, its a glue underneath when get dry screen will be perfect, i had same situation with my ip4 and after 3 mths was cool, right now i have ip4s with yellow screen, probably will be same thing.

Man, if I bought this phone for $300(not to mention $700 unlocked) I would not be happy. Some of the yellow tint may very well be because of the lamination glue but not all of it.

I got lucky with mine. First one I bought white 4s from Verizon color contrast was correct but it had a lot of dead pixels. Was reluctant to get an exchange because of the yellow tint. Did it anyways and my 2nd one was perfect.

I paid top dollar for it, I want a perfect screen DAMNIT!!

@zeemsterdotcom Warmer screen tones actually display colors more accurately. With the blue tinted screens you get very good whites and blues, obviously, but every other color will be washed out. I think that they did this intentionally to increase color pop

@sportindaveyg Hello, Yes - Every time you return a phone, technically a new receipt is given. So, you have 30-days to return it each attempt. So, you can return a phone every month for 12 months = 12 phones!

My screen has a blue tint.

It is most noticeable in the settings screens.

I also just took a few photos, synced them with my Mac and opened them in iPhoto and you can definitely see it.

I am really reluctant to take it back because all of the white 4Ss that I've checked in 4 stores have the blue tint whereas the black does not and I want white.

No dead pixels or battery problems so I'm reluctant to return it. Maybe Apple will release a software fix? This can easily be done if they want to.

My friend went to return his 3rd iPhone 4s and his 4th one WHITE was PERFECT!! No yellow screen, no imperfections, completely perfect!! Debating if I should go return mine and possibly that 4th attempt be my last... "Remember, you only get a 30-day return policy..." If you have a problem, you must pre-order your phone at apple.com after 9pm EST before you can return yours the following day. HOPE THAT THE ONE YOU WANT ISN'T SOLD-OUT!

@zeemsterdotcom The Apple store said a lot of people are complaining about it. I took mine back and got refunded the whole amount even though it was opened, unlike the 15% restocking fee they usually change for open hardware.

I didn't notice it till I had my iPhone 4 next to the 4S to arrange my icons the same, and noticed the yellow tint and the black not being black but grey. They need to fix this, then I'll buy it. I had the 32 gig version.

I think LG is not the maker of iphone screens anymore. They were for previous iphones. Toshiba makes the screen for the 4S. The LG screens may be better. Who knows what made apple switch to Toshiba.

Your not alone, I too have the black 4s and have the annoying yellow tint. Disappointed when I noticed the difference in contrast between my 4 and 4s. One of apple's selling points for the 4s was that it would retain the same retina screen display. YEAH RIGHT, apple how do you explain your screens, some being cooler and others warmer (yellow) in contrast. Some consistency would be appreciated APPLE.
