Thank you for making a very good video. It is very well defended. However, I cannot see how you can take the Bible as the holy word of Yahweh, and not be a Christian. If Jesus was who he said he was, than you must submit to him as Lord. If he wasn't, than you must say that the New Testament isn't the holy word of Yahewh. Maybe you believe he is in the son of God, but also follow the Quran? I would appreciate any response.
hello. lol...i just noticed this comment now. i didn't mean to ignore you. :)
i believe in the Quran, and most of the Bible. i believe Jesus was a profound Prophet and Messenger of God, peace upon him.
i believe most of the Bible is true, and that Jesus' teachings in the Bible are true and important. however, i also believe the Bible was altered...just as God said it was in the Quran. contradiction in the Bible proves it. God does not contradict Himself.
...... this verse actually translates to, "and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance". this translation is most appropriate in my opinion. the other verse you have quoted is surah al nahl verse 67, the word used there is "sakaran" which translates to wholesome drink. the word for intoxication would be "yunzifoona" and the word for wine is "khamr". the story about prophet Isa producing barrells of wine towards the end of a party, i'm sure they were quite drunk already, Allah knows best.
Hmmmm? Seems 2:19 read more closely indicates guidance while granting us the final decision on where we draw the line. Some will choose to give greatly in charity and fully abstain from alcohol while others may give lightly in charity and share in a glass of wine occasionally. Hence, varying degrees of Jennah, but it's all good. thx for yet another eye-opener.
Here are a couple more points to consider: 1- Jesus made, drank, and distributed wine. In fact, it was his FIRST miracle! John 2:1 - 11 2- Nothing that enters the mouth can defile a man. Matthew 15:11 3- Believers are not to judge one another on the basis of food, drink, or holy days. Romans 14: 1 - 22 4- God commanded the Jews to use their tithes to have a big party every year and to buy "strong drink" to take to the party. Deuteronomy 14:22-29 Why don't Christians obey their Bibles? Why?
i don't know if you belive in the torah as the word of GOD as well, but it prohibit alcohol:
Then the Lord said to Aaron, " [you] are not to drink wine or other fermented drink whenever you go into the Tent of Meeting, or you will die. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come." (Leviticus, 10:8)
... ordered his sons not to drink wine and this command has been kept. To this day they do not drink wine, ... (Jeremiah, 35:14)
hmmm from what i understand, the verse talking about the fruit, and the drink that can be made from it was BEFORE the prohibition of alcohol. Everyone knows that the prohibition of alcohol in Islam was in three different steps, the first being the fact that the sin outweighs the benefit, the second being the fact that praying while intoxicated is a sin, and the third banning alcohol outright
there is no outright ban on alcohol...and i presented my Scriptural case for the fact that yes...we are not to be drunkards, but the moderate use of alcohol is not prohibited.
i do not care to argue...you should surely do whatever you think is right. and, we are not each others guardians.
You are right, we are not each others guardians, but it would also be wrong for me to allow an incorrect/skewed message to be given to others (knowingly or not). Verses 90-91 of Surah 5 would be the last step in the PROHIBITION of alcohol; Allah says "you shall avoid them," them being alcohol and gambling. It's pretty hard to argue with that phrase. Now I have presented my Scriptural case, and if you look at it logically, it can be understood that it was the FINAL step of prohibition
what i am saying is that when you consider all the Scritpures, including other Scriptures in the Quran, the meaning of the Arabic word must have changed from meaning intoxication to intoxicants.
the meaning of words can change without even people deliberately doing it...over time. or they could have deliberately changed the meaning of the word to support their false prohibition...
What you have presented is a justification for alcohol in moderation -- drink as long as it doesn't intoxicate. Again, I ask you, who drinks alcohol to quench thirst? You drink alcohol to become intoxicated, and one drink has an effect. This justification will not convince anyone who has studied the Qur'an for years, and there is no benefit in getting people to drink except to get them drunk, if you can call that a benefit. The damage is far greater.
the purpose of this video is not to encourage people to drink. rather to show that there is certainly Scriptural president for those who choose to because they conscientiously feel it is not prohibited by God...and they do so in moderation.
more or less, if someone feels that it is prohibited for them that is fine, but they should not force their understanding on others.
YUSUFALI: They ask thee concerning wine and gambling. Say: "In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit." They ask thee how much they are to spend; Say: "What is beyond your needs." Thus doth Allah Make clear to you His Signs: In order that ye may consider-
PICKTHAL: They question thee about strong drink and games of chance. Say: In both is great sin, and (some) utility for men; but the sin of them is greater than their usefulness. And they ask thee what they ought to spend. Say: that which is superfluous. Thus Allah maketh plain to you (His) revelations, that haply ye may reflect.
SHAKIR: They ask you about intoxicants and games of chance. Say: In both of them there is a great sin and means of profit for men, and their sin is greater than their profit. And they ask you as to what they should spend. Say: What you can spare. Thus does Allah make clear to you the communications, that you may ponder
(219. They ask you (O Muhammad ) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: "In them is a great sin, and (some) benefits for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit.'' And they ask you what they ought to spend. Say: "That which is (spare) beyond your needs.'' Thus Allah makes clear to you His Laws in order that you may give thought.)
that there are some benefits to alcoholic...but drunkeness is bad.
note how in the Scriptures you quoted there is actually no strict prohibition given.
that is what this video is about. how God prohibits drunkenness, but that both Scriptures from the Bible and Quran speak positively about alcohol too...and that it is not actually a prohibition.
again, i refer you back to the video for clear Scriptural Proof.
yes, Messenger do not bring new laws. this is why Muhammad did not bring the new law of no drinking whatsoever. God does not change, and although the Bible condemns drunkenness too...the previous Messengers did not prohibit moderate use of alcohol. it is intoxication that is prohibited in the Quran, not intoxicants...
...like i said, they did not have to change the Quran...all they had to do was change the meaning of the Arabic word to denote intoxicants...rather than intoxication (drunkenness)
whenever God refers to drinking moderately, he is revering to alcohol, not milk or water.
While I have watched several of your videos and resonated with its truths, this is not one of them. Messengers set down new laws. God doesn't change, but people's capacity to absorb new information from the Unchanging does. Alcohol is not drinken for the taste, but to intoxicate. Intoxicants include drugs. They are artificially mind altering with side effects.
if someone is talking about an event in the bible that means it simmilar to a hadith.... who corrupted the bible???? we cant belive what it says... as for the exact verse in the quran i will take your word for it untill ill read the verse in the quran. thanks.
Definition of Intoxicationfrom Wikipedia: Intoxication is the state of being affected by one or more psychoactive drugs. It can also refer to the effects caused by the ingestion of poison or by the overconsumption of normally harmless substances. . Some types of intoxication: Drunkenness (alcohol intoxication) Caffeine intoxication Cannabis intoxication Heroin intoxication Water intoxication Contact high -END DEFINITION- Eat and drink in moderation -- and no intoxication.
why is drinking prohibited???? because what does drinking lead to???? if even in the smallest amount can lead u to go astray than its forbiden. your quoting from bible when you clearly say its translated wrong?????? your very confusing
i went to answer your other comment but accidentally deleted it instead...sorry.
no Jesus disciples didn't get drunk on passover...and never said any such thing. i have no idea where you heard that story from, but it is fabrication..
also, to be sober means to be serious. as you can clearly see from the Scriptures quoted in this video...many times alcohol is spoken of favorable in God's Word.
What I am saying is the greek word νήφω "nepho" here in 1 Peter 5:8 means "drink no wine" and γρηγορέω (grēgoreō) means to be sober. The translation should be
1 Peter 5:8
"Drink no wine, be sober, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour"
[7:32] Say, "Who prohibited the nice things GOD has created for His creatures, and the good provisions?" Say, "Such provisions are to be enjoyed in this life by those who believe. Moreover, the good provisions will be exclusively theirs on the Day of Resurrection." We thus explain the revelations for people who know.
God has given in the example of what is good in 47:15 as wine being one of them.
Grapes and date palms fermentation produces alcohol (wine).
Intoxication is indicated by impaired judgment, communication problems or staggering.
My understanding: Alcohol is not prohibited below intoxication levels. However, one can easily fall into Satan's trap by getting intoxicated (5:90-91).
[7:31] O children of Adam, ... eat and drink moderately; Surely, He does not love the gluttons.
The root word "s k r" was revealed in following order
[16:67] And from the fruits of date palms and grapes you produce "intoxicants", as well as good provisions. This should be proof for people who understand.
[4:43] O you who believe, do not observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) while "intoxicated", so that you know what you are saying...
[22:2] The day you witness it, ... You will see the people staggering, as if they are "intoxicated", even though they are not intoxicated...
Certain substances at can conceal the mind or brain when consumed above moderate levels. They can conceal judgment (e.g. during driving) or consciousness. When they do not conceal (at low doses) they can be enjoyable and relaxing as in the example of paradise. This is my understanding of the use of this word.
The Arabic word referred to as "wine" in 12:36 and 12:41 Joseph is "kh m r a". The root word "kh m r" occurs in 47:15; as Al (The) khmr in 2:219, 5:90 and 5:91 and as bi khmr ihinna in 24:31.
The meaning or concept has to be consistent in all 7 occurrences. Drugs which conceal nerve cells from pain (e.g. during surgery) are also beneficial (2:219). They can conceal remembering God (5:91). Note forgetfulness of butler in 12:42. In 24:31 it is for concealing certain body areas.
but the thing is...just that one word, in two Scriptures, contradicts numerous Scripture in both the Bible and Quran. God does not change...so He would allow something, then not allow it, then allow it again.
plus the Jews were under MORE prohibitions...yet they were not prohibited from drinking alcohol.
but people can surely avoid alcohol if that's what they think is right...they just should not enforce their conscience on other.
there are certainly things, other than those listed in this video, that God forbids or disproves of. the list in this video was just an example. for instance, God certainly forbids adultery and homosexuality.
God does not like violence, haughtiness, or greed. also, backbiting, gossiping, mocking, or general unkindness...Most Gracious does not like.
[12:46] "Joseph my friend, inform us about seven fat cows being devoured by seven skinny cows, and seven green spikes, and others shriveled. I wish to go back with some information for the people."
We note the wine butler was saved and Joseph asks the wine butler a favor to remember him.
there is a lot of mention of wine, favorably, in both the Bible and Quran.
it makes no sense for a God who does not change to allow drinking in Bible times and Paradise, to be having different laws now.
many of the Prophets are recorded as drinking...they even accused Jesus of being a heavy drinker...which of course was probably an exaggeration coming from people who were looking to find fault...
[12:42] He then said to the one to be saved "Remember me at your lord."* Thus, the devil caused him to forget his Lord, and, consequently, he remained in prison a few more years....
[12:45] The one who was saved (from the prison) said, now that he finally remembered, "I can tell you its interpretation, so send me (to Joseph)."
[12:36] Two young men were in the prison with him. One of them said, "I saw (in my dream) that I was making wine," and the other said, "I saw myself carrying bread on my head, from which the birds were eating. Inform us of the interpretation of these dreams. We see that you are righteous."...
[12:41] "O my prison mates, one of you will be the wine butler for his lord, while the other will be crucified - the birds will eat from his head. This settles the matter about which you have inquired."
and exactly what is it being flagged for, freepalestine?
flagging is for hate or vulgarity or nudity...not just because you disagree with someone.
truthfully, some Muslims are getting quite desperate. why do you hate the Truth so much? because it contradicts the "teachings of your fathers" and exposes that Islam does not actually follow the Quran?
a very good vid sis i think some people maynot be able to accept they have been duped in to beliefing something false and it was more likey a mistraslation of intoication and not intoxicants allah made things good and joyful not doom and gloom 5 stars
there are just too many Scripture in both the Bible and Quran that contradict the word in used in those two Scriptures. it could have easily be deliberatly translated "intoxicants" instead of "intoxication." recall that Muhammad's wives wanted him to prohibit something Allah did not prohibit. while we cannot know for sure what it was...it was most likely alcohol...
...so why would they deliberately mistranslate the word? because they want to control people. also, Satan would want people to think GOD is prohibiting something he is not. why? because he doesn't want people serving GOD...therefore one way to do this is to make GOD look harsh...like serving Him is too difficult...
while the contradiction in the Quran about Jesus can be proved because there is contradiction in the Bible in this regard...the contradiction of GOD certainly allowing alcohol in the Bible...but not allowing it in the Quran...is a contradiction that is unexplainable...and therefore can stumble those who follow the Bible from accepting that the Quran is from GOD too. because they know GOD allows it and that He does not change.
God often speaks of not prohibiting what He has not prohibited in the Quran. what is it that Fundamentalist try to prohibit that God hasn't? isn't it moderate drinking, modest dancing, and music that comes to mind? while hateful, angry or immoral music is inappropriate...most music is not.
it is not God who is harsh on us. it is man who has impose on us rules against things that God has not prohibited...
there are certainly things, other than those listed in this video, that God forbids or disproves of. the list in this video was just an example. for instance, God certainly forbids adultery and homosexuality. God does not like drunkenness, violence, braggarts, haughtiness, or greed. also, backbiting, gossiping, mocking, or general unkindness...and other things like these
..."Those who fabricate false prohibitions, and attribute them to GOD, are wicked." Surah 3:94
Why are they wicked?
Because they cause some to feel like they are not good enough to serve God. Or, they cause some to think that God is being harsh, when it is not He who is prohibiting things.
It is wicked to prohibit things that God does not because...it stumbles people away from serving God!
I do observe that for a Messenger of God, as you claim, throughout your videos you do make rather a great deal of errors in spelling and in references to the Bible and Quran.
Actually, it makes common sense that alcohol consumption is wrong, never mind that it says so in the Quran.
As I said several posts ago, all fornication is forbidden, which I believe already covers adultery and 'homosexuality', just in case unmarried 'heterosexuals' think they can get away with it, which seems to be they main reason that these two particular brands of fornication are descended upon so swiftly by most fanatical people.
7) ..Consider also, that the money spent on such entirely frivolous luxuries as booze, would be better spent in charity - which I doubt you would deny.
however, GOD does not change. alcohol is mentioned often in the Bible. sometime in bad light...in regards to drunkenness...but most of the time it is mentioned in a good light, with rejoicing...
...i believe i gave a clear argument on why our GOD who does not change...would not have changed in this regard. why would the Jews who were given more restrictions because of their hardheadedness be allow to have alcohol...but followers of the Quran would not? also, why did Allah not list it when referring to the things prohibited...especially since He says, this is all that I prohibit? and why does it say in both the Bible and Quran that there will be wine in Paradise?...
...this video has had both a positive and negative response from people of all faiths.
while I could have avoided the subject...it was important for me to address it. why? because if i didn't those who only drink moderately could be stumbled from drawing close to God. that's why God says false prohibitions are evil...because they cause people to think they are not good enough...
...however, it is not GOD who is prohibiting it. all they had to do was change one word slightly...from intoxication to intoxicants. however, other scriptures in the Quran contradict leaving open the possibility that that is exactly what happened.
and the Truth is...i know that i am telling you the correct understanding. Drunkenness, intoxication, is prohibited...not the moderate use of alcohol...
...in fact, although the Quran doesn't say what it was...it is very likely that the thing Muhammad's wives wanted to prohibit was alcohol.
both Jesus and Muhammad, peace upon them, came to remove restrictions upon the people that were not from GOD. in turn, that is what the Messenger in your midst is also doing.
Allah does not prohibit alcohol...he prohibits drunkenness. this has always been GOD's direction on the matter. it is nothing new.
6) As you have said elsewhere, if the Bible is to be accepted, it can only be so where it's lies are deciphered by checking it against the Quran. For some reason, you seem to have overlooked that on this occasion. References to Jesus, peace be upon him, endorsing and encouraging boozing is fabrication, and this is so that the meddlers could justify their own liking for boozing, I'm dissappointed you hadn't worked this one out...
5) Not only that, but if you are praying five times a day - then we certainly never have cause to be imbibing alcohol or any drugs - as the effects would not have worn off by time for next prayer! The translations I have usually seen say, 'do not come to prayer with a mind befogged', which might be better, because it tells us that there are many things that can 'befog' our minds other than the effects of drugs, in other words, we are told to come to prayer with a clear head - in every respect.
4) ..take it from one who knows - and this goes for all intoxicants, which people will have differing tendancies to become too attached to in varying degrees. You are wrong on this one! Dead wrong! You seriously need to revise your views on this.
3) Intoxicants conceal potentially wicked jinns, we must not infest ourselves with them. If anything, perhaps a bit of cannabis occasionally can relax deeply and give spiritual insight, and I know this from my own experience, however, for those susceptible, it becomes a habit and inhibits the flow of day to day life in general, not to mention gives us cause to run for intoxicants whenever the going gets tough rather than call out for God...
2) Yes, it would be nice if people could be moderate in all things, but where drugs are concerned, once you embark on that slippery slope, you are in danger, and God knew this, hence why intoxicants and intoxication are forbidden outright.
1) Since I gave up booze and cannabis, when I reverted to Islam, my life has been 100% better. As for alcohol, it is the worst drug I can think of in terms of the destruction it wreaks upon humanity, the mind boggles at the amount of murder, rape, battery, fornication, criminal damage and general mindlessness that happen on account of the effects of alcohol. This is undeniable...
Ugh, this old Evangelical and Islamic obsession again *sigh*, God forbids fornication in all it's forms - so don't join the camp of those seeking to make excuses for themselves, by trying to determine one fornication as 'worse', which is to portray another as 'better', to alleviate your guilty indulgences, a dangerous misconception to be entertaining...
2)..I would point out that the problem of overpopulation is the root of a gross abundance of human misery - the result of rife fornication between men and women I might add - and 'homosexual' and 'heterosexual' are terms invented in the late 19th C., the only distinction God makes in sexual behaviour is between fornication (no matter between whom), which is forbid, and legitimate vaginal intercourse within wedlock, which is permitted, and with a mind to reproduction - otherwise, remain chaste.
I dont know if u can read and understand arabic, Quran 4.43 says (Do not come forward to the Prayer while you are in "any sort of state" of drunkenness until you know what you are saying, nor...)
Why would GOD say this?
The way "I !" understand it, is that belivers can do rong by drinking ore tricked into drink so on... When its time to pray GOD is telling that its NOT ok. But everybody has there own brain and understand things diffr..so may GOD forgive us ALL.
surah 5.19 at da end says so will u not abstain? (in da translation i got) n da idea that god is unchanging... does it say his laws r not? like before noah we cudnt eat meat?.. wot bout any verses allowing, or atleast not prohibiting alcohol, being abrogated?
i believe i presented sound evidence in this video. for instance, God tells us to drink moderately (Surah 7:31)...you do not have to tell someone to drink non alcoholic things moderately.
God says not to pray when you are intoxicated...he is addressing Believers when He says that. why would He have to say that, if the Believers were never suppose to be drinking?
also, it is not listed when the prohibition of what we cannot consume are listed.
God often speaks of not prohibiting what He has not prohibited in the Quran. what is it that Fundamentalist try to prohibit that God hasn't? isn't it moderate drinking, modest dancing, and music that comes to mind? while hateful, angry or immoral music is inappropriate...most music is not.
it is not God who is harsh on us. it is man who has impose on us rules against things that God has not prohibited...

..."Those who fabricate false prohibitions, and attribute them to GOD, are wicked." Surah 3:94
Why are they wicked?
Because they cause some to feel like they are not good enough to serve God. Or, they cause some to think that God is being harsh, when it is not He who is prohibiting things.
It is wicked to prohibit things that God does not because...it stumbles people away from serving God!
Wow this is not a good thing. Alcohol is Haram. You are not a scholar so I would not instruct people on fatwa as you. I make du'a that Allah guides us ALL to the straight and narrow path and away from ignorance.
"Say [Oh Prophet] my Lord has forbidden only indecencies,
such of them as are apparent and such as are within,
and sin, and wrongful oppression, and to associate with Allah
that for which no warrant has been revealed, and to tell
concerning Allah that which you know not," Al-A'raf, 33.
however, Allah does not change. the Prophets of the Bible clearly drank, including Jesus, peace upon him.
in the Quran Allah says that He gave the Jews MORE restrictions because of their stubbornness. If Allah gave them more, then why would He prohibit Muslims from something that He allowed Jews to have. also, why does He say to drink moderately, or to not pray while intoxicated...if we were never suppose to drink.
"And from the fruits of date palm and grapes you get wholesome drink and nutrition: Behold in this is a sign for those who are wise"
" The fruit of palm trees and vines which provide you with sugar and delicious food also provide a lesson and evidence (of the Truth) for the people of understanding."
other translations say intoxicants in the Scripture you quoted.
i believe i gave clear evidence and a convincing argument in the video.
why would Allah prohibit wine for the Muslims, when He clearly allowed the Jews to drink wine...even the Prophets of God drank wine, as the Bible clearly shows...
...if the Jews had more prohibition because of their stubbornness, as Allah brings out in the Quran, then why were they not prohibited alcohol but those who follow the Quran are? also, what was it that the Prophet's wives were trying to prohibit. was it alcohol? the things that fundamentalist try to prohibit that God hasn't are things like, alcohol, music and modest dancing.
Whereis while I think your intentions are good, you may be doing more bad than good. Islam 100% forbids stringed instruments and alcohol. This dancing thing is different. Men can dance among men and women can dance among women or for their husband. This is halal. It shouldn't be done as a form of Ibidah (worship) as this is bidah (innovation). The alcohol thing is 100% haram. I think I posted the exact quote from the Qur'an where it says so. Muhammad(saw) was given the revelation in stages.Peace
please show me in the Quran were string instruments are prohibited. or that only men can dance with men and women with women.
if it is not in the Quran, then those in Islam are prohibiting what Allah has not prohibited. Allah says that it is wicked to prohibit what He has not...
...why is it wicked?...because it stumbles others from serving God. it makes them think they are not good enough, or it makes them think it is God who is being harsh...when it is not God at all...but men prohibiting such things.
the Hadiths are not from God. they are contradictory man made books that the Quran forbids. in fact, the Hadiths themselves prohibit the Hadiths. please see Parts 50 and 70, if you like.
Whoa whoa whoa... The hadith were the sunnah of the Prophet(SAW). It is an essential part of Islam. Without the jurisprudence of the hadith we would not know how to pray, how to fast, most of our rules and ways of action. To say the hadith are 'contradictory man made books that the quran forbids' really is borderline heresy. I think on that note I am finished arguing my point. I have the verses from the quran, but next I think you might say the quran says the quran cant exist. Peace.
Allah says (2:219):"They ask you concerning intoxicants and gambling, say 'In both of there is great sin, and some profit for people, but the sin is greater than the profit'" Alcohol is sin
Allah says(5:90):"O you who believe! Most certainly intoxicants and gambling, and idol worship, and fortune telling are an abomination, and Satan's handiwork, so shun them that you may prosper" He clearly states to ABANDON Alcohol(intoxicant). If you drink, it's a sin. If you deny sin, then you become kafir.
those scriptures were discussed in the video...along with the explanation that the other scriptures indicate that the word intoxicated was changed to intoxicants. why? because if not it would be a contradiction...and God does not contradict himself.
Good vid, so far, one error - the second quote has the wrong verse numbers:
Matthew 11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
Matthew 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
Thanks to you for making this. I recognized what happened afterwards. I used this video as an instructive device in an essay I am writing rebutting prohibition on alcohol. I will send a copy to you when it is finished. Peace be with you.
So i guess you are trying to use the knife standard on me. If you dont know what that is, well here it goes. We all have knives at our houses, right? Well, people use knives to cut their food, but other people use it to cut people. One is good while the other is bad, but to abolish the knife is riduculs. But that is totally different. Why, because we use knives as a tool to survive while others use alcohol (as you demostraded dense) for entertainment or relaxment. A knife is a unique tool
while there are plenty more ways to entertain and relax yourself. Thats like saying "i have to have sex because sometimes i am just too horny (for someone who isnt married)." So is alcohol like sex, if you use it responsibly, its okay but if you abuse it, its no good? s long as you dont get the person pregnant (or yourself), its perfectly fine, right?
your knife illustration is a good one. like you say, it could be used to harm someone...but you do not prohibit knives since it is a useful tool.
Allah does not prohibit sex or alcohol. what He prohibits is the misuse of either thing. drunkeness is a misuse...or abuse...of alcohol. having sex with someone you are not suppose to, is a misuse or abuse of that pleasure God has blessed us with...
i have never said that drunkeness is allowed. i've never said that sex with anyone who you do not have a right to have sex with is allowed.
...what i have said is God does prohibit drunkeness, fornication and adultery. however, he does not prohibit alcohol consumption nor appropriate sexual activity.
Let me tell you a story, a man was kidnapped and was told the only wy he could be free is by doing one of three things: commit murder, commit adultry, or drink alcohol ( i guess enough to get drunk). The man said he couldnt kill anyone and he is faithful to his wife, so he choosed the drink. When he drank, he got drunk and commited both adultry and murder. See, alcohol, like marijuana, is a gateway to sins.
of course each person must make his own decision whether to drink or not. but the point is: God does not prohibit alcohol...that is a man made rule imposed by false religious leaders. it is not alcohol that leads to the things you spoke about. it is lack of self control. a person who has self control doesn't drink to the point of drunkeness and debaucher...
...of course if someone has a problem with self control then they have a problem with many things that are pleasurable, such as becoming obsessed with eating or sex. it is not the eating or having sex (with you spouse) that is the problem...just like it is not the alcohol that is the issue...the problem is with the person's self control...
...moderate use of alcohol does not lead to rape and murder. i have known lots of people who drink moderately. none of them have ever committed rape or murder.
if you do not have self control then you shouldn't drink. however, you have no right to impose you self imposted prohibition on others.
okay, getting drunk is like sleep walking; you are the same person, but not, at the same time. Have you ever heard of the story where a detective killed his neighbor, and investigated the crime. Later finding out he himself did it, and it was because he slept walk. Your telling me that purposely or accidently getting drunk, is better than praising God completely sober?
jackelboy, many responsible people indulge in a few drinks at times to relax and take a load off. one of the things this video is referring to is the catholics prohibit priests from marrying. leviticus 21:13 disagrees.
Listen, because each person has his or her own limit, they made the rule, don get drunk. And anything that leads to a sin, is a sin. Do you agree? For example, if i went on a date, wouldnt i be temted to have sex (w/ someone who isnt my wife)? Okay, if i could hold back, who says some other guy isnt? And what if she says no, guess what, she gets raped. So to make sure none of these things happen, just dont date. Same for getting drunk, to prevent it, dont drink and smoke.
so this is what happens when the person abandons Hadith or Sunnah...than u can twist everything...and Bible and Torah r not at all preserved..one can c so many contradictions in BIBLE..and also QURAN is the final law!!! but GOD can abandon any of his order or aayah and gives us a BETTER than the previous one!!!(according to QURAN)
that is not reasonable to think that the wine that Jesus made was non alcoholic. why? did you not see the scripture? Jesus made "fine wine." the director of the feast said..."most bring out the fine wine first, and then when the guests are intoxicated, they bring out the inferior. the wine at the feast had alcohol in it...
...the Bible had already been altered by Muhammad's time. it was altered at least 300 years before the Quran. and yet Allah clearly says to believe in the Previous Scriptures! there are so many Scriptures in the Quran that say this. many of them are quoted in Part 46. the Bible is where you get your extra guidance, NOT the fabricated Hadiths...which Allah forbids and were inspired by the Jinn. Part 50...
...the way you obey Muhammad. peace upon him, is the same why you obey All the Messengers from the past. you obey them by obeying All of God's Scriptures. currently you obey the Messenger(s)...by obeying the Messengers in your midst. Surah 7:35 you obey them by heeding the warning when they recite and explain God's Revelations to you.
if the Quran is the the final law...which i agree it is...then why do you follow the Hadiths, which came AFTER? the Hadiths are misleading you. again, please see Part 50.
Hadith didnt come after...hadith is normally the explanation of QURAN...what Prophet MohammadSAW understood from QURAN and did...thats y its important otherwise u cant even derive the method of PRAYING!!! and u dont know...what to recite during the SALAT(prayers)..who taught this..Prophet and it isnt in QURAN and QURAN itself tells u to obey and follow Prophet SAW
you can know how to pray by going to the only source of Law...God. God's Word clearly instructs us on prayer. the type of praying done is "Islam" is not instructed by God.
See part 57, if you would like instructions from God on the matter.
what the Quran says is that it is "fully detailed and complete." Surah 6:114,115
the Hadiths most certainly did come AFTER the Quran...and they are most certainly contradictory, man made books that both slander and teach Muslims to idolize Muhammad.
well...This was the explanation given by PASTOR Stanley Shoebert and i really recommend u to watch that debate
Deedat vs Stanley Shoebert to find the answer!!!
and secondly ..the final law is given to Prophet MohammadSAW...the previous shriaas had some different order becoz of the circumstances of those ages...it hasnt got anything to do with ALLAH changing his mind!!!
Hadiths certainly came after Muhammad's time. they began to be written well afterwards. and they are clearly man made books...the "teachings of your fathers"
Muhammad was forbidden to teach anything other than the Quran. again, please see Part 50 for the Truth on the matter. i do not care what false religious leaders debate about. i only care for instruction from my GOD, Allah, Lord of the Universe...
...Allah clearly says the Hadiths are forbidden. He also clearly states we are to believe in the Previous Scriptures. Surah 4:136. for many quotes from the Quran on this matter please see Part 46.
i do no have time for endless debate. Allah is arriving soon. i have much work to do. believe as you wish, i am not your guardian.
i heard from PASTOR STANLEY SHOEBERT in his debate with Ahmad DEEDAT that the WINE which JEsus(PBUH) consumed was without ALCOHOL(acording to the Pstor) and it had 0% alcohol!!!..plz watch his debates...and sister...if u insist on understanding the things better than Prophet Mohammad(SAW) to whom it was revealed and ALCOLHOL was prohibited than it will create problem for u!!!
your very explanation shows that it is drunkeness...not alcohol. yes, overindulgence causes you to "lose your mind"...but not moderate consumption. if those in Islam were not discouraged from reading the Bible, they would have the guidance need on the matter. Allah clearly tells you that wine is for enjoyment in the Bible...but that drunkeness is prohibited...
...it is clear when a person has had too much. they act foolish or angry. if a person had 3 drinks and they were happy, but not foolish...and then on another occasion they had 5 drinks and acted badly...well, then they would know that they should not drink that much next time. it is not a matter of abstinence...it is a matter of self control. when you consider all Scriptures in the Quran it becomes obvious that it is intoxication...drunkeness that Allah prohibits...not alcohol.
ah, but anything that leads to a sin, could posibly be a sin. For example, in Islam, we dont date or have gf or bf because it leads to premarrigal intercourse. And with the drinks, each person is different. And God being the All Knowing and The ALL Wise, he prhibbitted alcohol instead of just what your limit (because again, each person is different).
instead of man made rules what you must learn...is self control. God made you a free creature because he trust your ability to worship Him on your own. and He trust you as an individual to exercise self control. humans are intelligent. they can read God's Words with understanding, and then do what is right...because His Guidance is complete.
I fully agree with jackelboy, there is no limit for us, and every body acts in a different way to each substance. So the best thing is not to use it at all.
Its true, the word alcohol is not used, but an even greater word is in its place instead; that word being, of course, is....well, its not really a word, more of a bunch of words, but it is "something that makes you loose consciousness (mind)." For example, when someone drinks alcohol, they get drunk, thus, making them loose there mind. If someone smokes pot, again, they loose their mind, Some even consider music, and in sch cases, it is true. So how do we know our limit?
the quran never changed, the bible did change and a lot of scholars admitt it. So I think we should follow the Quran. When we come and think of it, alcohol is the cause of so many problems, worldwide a lot of killing raping etc happens because of alcohol so to me it's logic that god would ban such a substance.
God says He does not change. Allah also says that He gave Moses "the best commandments."
God reveals in the Quran that He gave the Jews MORE prohibitions than others because of their disobedience. yet in neither the 10 Commandments, nor the entire Statute Book (Law of Moses) did He prohibit the Jews from alcohol...
peace everyone,

Whereistruth,
Thank you for making a very good video.
Thanks

hello. lol...i just noticed this comment now. i didn't mean to ignore you. :)
i believe in the Quran, and most of the Bible. i believe Jesus was a profound Prophet and Messenger of God, peace upon him.
i believe most of the Bible is true, and that Jesus' teachings in the Bible are true and important. however, i also believe the Bible was altered...just as God said it was in the Quran. contradiction in the Bible proves it. God does not contradict Himself.

try reading that Scripture in context....God was speaking to the priests, not everyone.
also, do not comment on my videos anymore since you are so disrespectful.
WhereIsTruth 8 months ago
...... this verse actually translates to, "and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance". this translation is most appropriate in my opinion. the other verse you have quoted is surah al nahl verse 67, the word used there is "sakaran" which translates to wholesome drink. the word for intoxication would be "yunzifoona" and the word for wine is "khamr". the story about prophet Isa producing barrells of wine towards the end of a party, i'm sure they were quite drunk already, Allah knows best.
BungiMontana 1 year ago
Hmmmm? Seems 2:19 read more closely indicates guidance while granting us the final decision on where we draw the line. Some will choose to give greatly in charity and fully abstain from alcohol while others may give lightly in charity and share in a glass of wine occasionally. Hence, varying degrees of Jennah, but it's all good. thx for yet another eye-opener.

i don't know if you belive in the torah as the word of GOD as well, but it prohibit alcohol:
Then the Lord said to Aaron, " [you] are not to drink wine or other fermented drink whenever you go into the Tent of Meeting, or you will die. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come." (Leviticus, 10:8)
... ordered his sons not to drink wine and this command has been kept. To this day they do not drink wine, ... (Jeremiah, 35:14)
manowar97 2 years ago
peace manowar
notice that is says:
" [you] are not to drink wine or other fermented drink whenever you go into the Tent of Meeting"
this is not a prohibition on alcohol. it is a prohibition on drinking before going in the Tent of Meeting."
wine is spoken favorably throughout the Bible, although yes, drunkenness is condemned.
WhereIsTruth 2 years ago
hmmm from what i understand, the verse talking about the fruit, and the drink that can be made from it was BEFORE the prohibition of alcohol. Everyone knows that the prohibition of alcohol in Islam was in three different steps, the first being the fact that the sin outweighs the benefit, the second being the fact that praying while intoxicated is a sin, and the third banning alcohol outright
hsyed87 2 years ago
peace hsyed87,
there is no outright ban on alcohol...and i presented my Scriptural case for the fact that yes...we are not to be drunkards, but the moderate use of alcohol is not prohibited.
i do not care to argue...you should surely do whatever you think is right. and, we are not each others guardians.
WhereIsTruth 2 years ago
You are right, we are not each others guardians, but it would also be wrong for me to allow an incorrect/skewed message to be given to others (knowingly or not). Verses 90-91 of Surah 5 would be the last step in the PROHIBITION of alcohol; Allah says "you shall avoid them," them being alcohol and gambling. It's pretty hard to argue with that phrase. Now I have presented my Scriptural case, and if you look at it logically, it can be understood that it was the FINAL step of prohibition

What you are saying would mean that the Quran contains data that is ''obsolete'' so to speak, wich would make it inperfect what it's obviously not.
gewoonvoorfa2 1 year ago
no brother,
that is not what i am saying.
what i am saying is that when you consider all the Scritpures, including other Scriptures in the Quran, the meaning of the Arabic word must have changed from meaning intoxication to intoxicants.
the meaning of words can change without even people deliberately doing it...over time. or they could have deliberately changed the meaning of the word to support their false prohibition...
WhereIsTruth 1 year ago
...even Muhammad, peace upon him, made the mistake of prohibiting things God had not prohibited, because of influence from his wives.
perhaps one of those things was alcohol...God does not identify what they were.

Correct -- no one should impose their beliefs on others as cardinal law.
yowzee 2 years ago
What you have presented is a justification for alcohol in moderation -- drink as long as it doesn't intoxicate. Again, I ask you, who drinks alcohol to quench thirst? You drink alcohol to become intoxicated, and one drink has an effect. This justification will not convince anyone who has studied the Qur'an for years, and there is no benefit in getting people to drink except to get them drunk, if you can call that a benefit. The damage is far greater.
yowzee 2 years ago
the purpose of this video is not to encourage people to drink. rather to show that there is certainly Scriptural president for those who choose to because they conscientiously feel it is not prohibited by God...and they do so in moderation.
more or less, if someone feels that it is prohibited for them that is fine, but they should not force their understanding on others.

Proverbs 20:1
"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise."
Some Christians drink wine ceremonially.
Anyone uncontrollably desiring alcohol will drink it irregardless of any religiously ordained license, anyway.
Of course there are good people that drink alcohol -- that's not a concern. Alcohol is not condoned in the Qur'an.
Allah knows best. I do not debate, either. Your pro-alcohol points are clear.

peace yowzee,
yes, Messenger do not bring new laws. this is why Muhammad did not bring the new law of no drinking whatsoever. God does not change, and although the Bible condemns drunkenness too...the previous Messengers did not prohibit moderate use of alcohol. it is intoxication that is prohibited in the Quran, not intoxicants...
WhereIsTruth 2 years ago
...like i said, they did not have to change the Quran...all they had to do was change the meaning of the Arabic word to denote intoxicants...rather than intoxication (drunkenness)
whenever God refers to drinking moderately, he is revering to alcohol, not milk or water.
WhereIsTruth 2 years ago
While I have watched several of your videos and resonated with its truths, this is not one of them. Messengers set down new laws. God doesn't change, but people's capacity to absorb new information from the Unchanging does. Alcohol is not drinken for the taste, but to intoxicate. Intoxicants include drugs. They are artificially mind altering with side effects.

also, to be sober means to be serious. as you can clearly see from the Scriptures quoted in this video...many times alcohol is spoken of favorable in God's Word.
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
"be sober means to be serious."
Doesnt the bible forbid drinking?

This is my understanding of the use of this word.
moon64a 3 years ago

Further study:
The Arabic word referred to as "wine" in 12:36 and 12:41 Joseph is "kh m r a". The root word "kh m r" occurs in 47:15; as Al (The) khmr in 2:219, 5:90 and 5:91 and as bi khmr ihinna in 24:31.
The meaning or concept has to be consistent in all 7 occurrences. Drugs which conceal nerve cells from pain (e.g. during surgery) are also beneficial (2:219). They can conceal remembering God (5:91). Note forgetfulness of butler in 12:42. In 24:31 it is for concealing certain body areas.
moon64a 3 years ago
peace again moon,
but the thing is...just that one word, in two Scriptures, contradicts numerous Scripture in both the Bible and Quran. God does not change...so He would allow something, then not allow it, then allow it again.
plus the Jews were under MORE prohibitions...yet they were not prohibited from drinking alcohol.
but people can surely avoid alcohol if that's what they think is right...they just should not enforce their conscience on other.

it makes no sense for a God who does not change to allow drinking in Bible times and Paradise, to be having different laws now.

thank you for your comment revertsalaam,
there are just too many Scripture in both the Bible and Quran that contradict the word in used in those two Scriptures. it could have easily be deliberatly translated "intoxicants" instead of "intoxication." recall that Muhammad's wives wanted him to prohibit something Allah did not prohibit. while we cannot know for sure what it was...it was most likely alcohol...
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
...so why would they deliberately mistranslate the word? because they want to control people. also, Satan would want people to think GOD is prohibiting something he is not. why? because he doesn't want people serving GOD...therefore one way to do this is to make GOD look harsh...like serving Him is too difficult...
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
...also, another thing to consider:
while the contradiction in the Quran about Jesus can be proved because there is contradiction in the Bible in this regard...the contradiction of GOD certainly allowing alcohol in the Bible...but not allowing it in the Quran...is a contradiction that is unexplainable...and therefore can stumble those who follow the Bible from accepting that the Quran is from GOD too. because they know GOD allows it and that He does not change.
what do you think?

Actually, it makes common sense that alcohol consumption is wrong, never mind that it says so in the Quran.
As I said several posts ago, all fornication is forbidden, which I believe already covers adultery and 'homosexuality', just in case unmarried 'heterosexuals' think they can get away with it, which seems to be they main reason that these two particular brands of fornication are descended upon so swiftly by most fanatical people.

It is true that it isn't specifically prohibited among that which we are told not to consume. Hmm. I just don't know yet.
Wassalamu alaikum.

7) ..Consider also, that the money spent on such entirely frivolous luxuries as booze, would be better spent in charity - which I doubt you would deny.
CorLeonis01 3 years ago
hello CorLeonis,
i can see that you are upset by this video.
however, GOD does not change. alcohol is mentioned often in the Bible. sometime in bad light...in regards to drunkenness...but most of the time it is mentioned in a good light, with rejoicing...
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
...i believe i gave a clear argument on why our GOD who does not change...would not have changed in this regard. why would the Jews who were given more restrictions because of their hardheadedness be allow to have alcohol...but followers of the Quran would not? also, why did Allah not list it when referring to the things prohibited...especially since He says, this is all that I prohibit? and why does it say in both the Bible and Quran that there will be wine in Paradise?...
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
...this video has had both a positive and negative response from people of all faiths.
while I could have avoided the subject...it was important for me to address it. why? because if i didn't those who only drink moderately could be stumbled from drawing close to God. that's why God says false prohibitions are evil...because they cause people to think they are not good enough...
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
...however, it is not GOD who is prohibiting it. all they had to do was change one word slightly...from intoxication to intoxicants. however, other scriptures in the Quran contradict leaving open the possibility that that is exactly what happened.
and the Truth is...i know that i am telling you the correct understanding. Drunkenness, intoxication, is prohibited...not the moderate use of alcohol...
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
...in fact, although the Quran doesn't say what it was...it is very likely that the thing Muhammad's wives wanted to prohibit was alcohol.
both Jesus and Muhammad, peace upon them, came to remove restrictions upon the people that were not from GOD. in turn, that is what the Messenger in your midst is also doing.
Allah does not prohibit alcohol...he prohibits drunkenness. this has always been GOD's direction on the matter. it is nothing new.
peace to you
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
6) As you have said elsewhere, if the Bible is to be accepted, it can only be so where it's lies are deciphered by checking it against the Quran. For some reason, you seem to have overlooked that on this occasion. References to Jesus, peace be upon him, endorsing and encouraging boozing is fabrication, and this is so that the meddlers could justify their own liking for boozing, I'm dissappointed you hadn't worked this one out...
CorLeonis01 3 years ago
5) Not only that, but if you are praying five times a day - then we certainly never have cause to be imbibing alcohol or any drugs - as the effects would not have worn off by time for next prayer! The translations I have usually seen say, 'do not come to prayer with a mind befogged', which might be better, because it tells us that there are many things that can 'befog' our minds other than the effects of drugs, in other words, we are told to come to prayer with a clear head - in every respect.
CorLeonis01 3 years ago
4) ..take it from one who knows - and this goes for all intoxicants, which people will have differing tendancies to become too attached to in varying degrees. You are wrong on this one! Dead wrong! You seriously need to revise your views on this.
CorLeonis01 3 years ago
3) Intoxicants conceal potentially wicked jinns, we must not infest ourselves with them. If anything, perhaps a bit of cannabis occasionally can relax deeply and give spiritual insight, and I know this from my own experience, however, for those susceptible, it becomes a habit and inhibits the flow of day to day life in general, not to mention gives us cause to run for intoxicants whenever the going gets tough rather than call out for God...
CorLeonis01 3 years ago
2) Yes, it would be nice if people could be moderate in all things, but where drugs are concerned, once you embark on that slippery slope, you are in danger, and God knew this, hence why intoxicants and intoxication are forbidden outright.
CorLeonis01 3 years ago
1) Since I gave up booze and cannabis, when I reverted to Islam, my life has been 100% better. As for alcohol, it is the worst drug I can think of in terms of the destruction it wreaks upon humanity, the mind boggles at the amount of murder, rape, battery, fornication, criminal damage and general mindlessness that happen on account of the effects of alcohol. This is undeniable...
CorLeonis01 3 years ago
1)''adultery and homosexuality''.
CorLeonis01 3 years ago
2)..I would point out that the problem of overpopulation is the root of a gross abundance of human misery - the result of rife fornication between men and women I might add - and 'homosexual' and 'heterosexual' are terms invented in the late 19th C., the only distinction God makes in sexual behaviour is between fornication (no matter between whom), which is forbid, and legitimate vaginal intercourse within wedlock, which is permitted, and with a mind to reproduction - otherwise, remain chaste.

Hello WhereIsTruth
I dont know if u can read and understand arabic, Quran 4.43 says (Do not come forward to the Prayer while you are in "any sort of state" of drunkenness until you know what you are saying, nor...)
Why would GOD say this?
The way "I !" understand it, is that belivers can do rong by drinking ore tricked into drink so on... When its time to pray GOD is telling that its NOT ok. But everybody has there own brain and understand things diffr..so may GOD forgive us ALL.

hello toast,
i believe i presented sound evidence in this video. for instance, God tells us to drink moderately (Surah 7:31)...you do not have to tell someone to drink non alcoholic things moderately.
God says not to pray when you are intoxicated...he is addressing Believers when He says that. why would He have to say that, if the Believers were never suppose to be drinking?
also, it is not listed when the prohibition of what we cannot consume are listed.
Surah 2:173

Greetings friends,
God often speaks of not prohibiting what He has not prohibited in the Quran. what is it that Fundamentalist try to prohibit that God hasn't? isn't it moderate drinking, modest dancing, and music that comes to mind? while hateful, angry or immoral music is inappropriate...most music is not.
it is not God who is harsh on us. it is man who has impose on us rules against things that God has not prohibited...
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
...also friends,
there are certainly things, other than those listed in this video, that God forbids or disproves of. the list in this video was just an example. for instance, God certainly forbids adultery and homosexuality. God does not like drunkeness, violence, braggarts, haughtiness, or greed. also, backbiting, gossiping, mocking, or general unkindness...and other things like these
...Most Merciful does not like...
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
..."Those who fabricate false prohibitions, and attribute them to GOD, are wicked." Surah 3:94
Why are they wicked?
Because they cause some to feel like they are not good enough to serve God. Or, they cause some to think that God is being harsh, when it is not He who is prohibiting things.
It is wicked to prohibit things that God does not because...it stumbles people away from serving God!
Peace to all of you,
Sister Becca

hello slotimus,
i understand your concern.
however, Allah does not change. the Prophets of the Bible clearly drank, including Jesus, peace upon him.
in the Quran Allah says that He gave the Jews MORE restrictions because of their stubbornness. If Allah gave them more, then why would He prohibit Muslims from something that He allowed Jews to have. also, why does He say to drink moderately, or to not pray while intoxicated...if we were never suppose to drink.

WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
...if the Jews had more prohibition because of their stubbornness, as Allah brings out in the Quran, then why were they not prohibited alcohol but those who follow the Quran are? also, what was it that the Prophet's wives were trying to prohibit. was it alcohol? the things that fundamentalist try to prohibit that God hasn't are things like, alcohol, music and modest dancing.

WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
Whereis while I think your intentions are good, you may be doing more bad than good. Islam 100% forbids stringed instruments and alcohol. This dancing thing is different. Men can dance among men and women can dance among women or for their husband. This is halal. It shouldn't be done as a form of Ibidah (worship) as this is bidah (innovation). The alcohol thing is 100% haram. I think I posted the exact quote from the Qur'an where it says so. Muhammad(saw) was given the revelation in stages.Peace
slotimus321321 3 years ago
hello slotimus,
please show me in the Quran were string instruments are prohibited. or that only men can dance with men and women with women.
if it is not in the Quran, then those in Islam are prohibiting what Allah has not prohibited. Allah says that it is wicked to prohibit what He has not...
WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
...why is it wicked?...because it stumbles others from serving God. it makes them think they are not good enough, or it makes them think it is God who is being harsh...when it is not God at all...but men prohibiting such things.
the Hadiths are not from God. they are contradictory man made books that the Quran forbids. in fact, the Hadiths themselves prohibit the Hadiths. please see Parts 50 and 70, if you like.

WhereIsTruth 3 years ago
Whoa whoa whoa... The hadith were the sunnah of the Prophet(SAW). It is an essential part of Islam. Without the jurisprudence of the hadith we would not know how to pray, how to fast, most of our rules and ways of action. To say the hadith are 'contradictory man made books that the quran forbids' really is borderline heresy. I think on that note I am finished arguing my point. I have the verses from the quran, but next I think you might say the quran says the quran cant exist. Peace.

salaam slotimus,

Allah says (2:219):"They ask you concerning intoxicants and gambling, say 'In both of there is great sin, and some profit for people, but the sin is greater than the profit'" Alcohol is sin
Allah says(5:90):"O you who believe! Most certainly intoxicants and gambling, and idol worship, and fortune telling are an abomination, and Satan's handiwork, so shun them that you may prosper" He clearly states to ABANDON Alcohol(intoxicant). A knife is a unique tool
jackelboy 4 years ago
continuing...
while there are plenty more ways to entertain and relax yourself. Thats like saying "i have to have sex because sometimes i am just too horny (for someone who isnt married)." So is alcohol like sex, if you use it responsibly, its okay but if you abuse it, its no good? s long as you dont get the person pregnant (or yourself), its perfectly fine, right?
jackelboy 4 years ago
well jackelboy,
your knife illustration is a good one. like you say, it could be used to harm someone...but you do not prohibit knives since it is a useful tool.
Allah does not prohibit sex or alcohol. what He prohibits is the misuse of either thing. drunkeness is a misuse...or abuse...of alcohol. having sex with someone you are not suppose to, is a misuse or abuse of that pleasure God has blessed us with...
WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
i have never said that drunkeness is allowed. i've never said that sex with anyone who you do not have a right to have sex with is allowed.
...what i have said is God does prohibit drunkeness, fornication and adultery. however, he does not prohibit alcohol consumption nor appropriate sexual activity.

See, alcohol, like marijuana, is a gateway to sins.
jackelboy 4 years ago
hello jackelboy,
of course each person must make his own decision whether to drink or not. but the point is: God does not prohibit alcohol...that is a man made rule imposed by false religious leaders. it is not alcohol that leads to the things you spoke about. it is lack of self control. a person who has self control doesn't drink to the point of drunkeness and debaucher...
WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
...of course if someone has a problem with self control then they have a problem with many things that are pleasurable, such as becoming obsessed with eating or sex. it is not the eating or having sex (with you spouse) that is the problem...just like it is not the alcohol that is the issue...the problem is with the person's self control...
WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
...moderate use of alcohol does not lead to rape and murder. i have known lots of people who drink moderately. none of them have ever committed rape or murder.
if you do not have self control then you shouldn't drink. however, you have no right to impose you self imposted prohibition on others.

WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
okay, getting drunk is like sleep walking; you are the same person, but not, at the same time. Have you ever heard of the story where a detective killed his neighbor, and investigated the crime. jackelboy, many responsible people indulge in a few drinks at times to relax and take a load off. one of the things this video is referring to is the catholics prohibit priests from marrying. leviticus 21:13 disagrees.

hello densefawg,
yes, that is a good example as well. that is a man made prohibition. and man made prohibitions that they then attribute to God...are wicked.

WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
Listen, because each person has his or her own limit, they made the rule, don get drunk. And anything that leads to a sin, is a sin. Do you agree? For example, if i went on a date, wouldnt i be temted to have sex (w/ someone who isnt my wife)? Okay, if i could hold back, who says some other guy isnt? And what if she says no, guess what, she gets raped. So to make sure none of these things happen, just dont date. Same for getting drunk, to prevent it, dont drink and smoke.
jackelboy 4 years ago
well
so this is what happens when the person abandons Hadith or Sunnah...than u can twist everything...and Bible and Torah r not at all preserved..one can c so many contradictions in BIBLE..and also QURAN is the final law!!! but GOD can abandon any of his order or aayah and gives us a BETTER than the previous one!!!(according to QURAN)
adeelalam084 4 years ago
hello adeela,
that is not reasonable to think that the wine that Jesus made was non alcoholic. why? did you not see the scripture? Jesus made "fine wine." the director of the feast said..."most bring out the fine wine first, and then when the guests are intoxicated, they bring out the inferior. the wine at the feast had alcohol in it...
WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
...the Bible had already been altered by Muhammad's time. it was altered at least 300 years before the Quran. and yet Allah clearly says to believe in the Previous Scriptures! there are so many Scriptures in the Quran that say this. many of them are quoted in Part 46. the Bible is where you get your extra guidance, NOT the fabricated Hadiths...which Allah forbids and were inspired by the Jinn. Part 50...
WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
...the way you obey Muhammad. peace upon him, is the same why you obey All the Messengers from the past. you obey them by obeying All of God's Scriptures. currently you obey the Messenger(s)...by obeying the Messengers in your midst. adeelalam084 4 years ago
adeelanam,

adeelalam,
what the Quran says is that it is "fully detailed and complete." Surah 6:114,115
the Hadiths most certainly did come AFTER the Quran...and they are most certainly contradictory, man made books that both slander and teach Muslims to idolize Muhammad.
WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
well...This was the explanation given by PASTOR Stanley Shoebert and i really recommend u to watch that debate
Deedat vs Stanley Shoebert to find the answer!!!
and secondly ..the final law is given to Prophet MohammadSAW...the previous shriaas had some different order becoz of the circumstances of those ages...it hasnt got anything to do with ALLAH changing his mind!!!
adeelalam084 4 years ago
adeelalam,
Hadiths certainly came after Muhammad's time. they began to be written well afterwards. and they are clearly man made books...the "teachings of your fathers"
Muhammad was forbidden to teach anything other than the Quran. again, please see Part 50 for the Truth on the matter. i do not care what false religious leaders debate about. i only care for instruction from my GOD, Allah, Lord of the Universe...
WhereIsTruth 4 years ago

adeelalam084 4 years ago
continueing from the bottom. we dont know our limit. So instead, we dont do any at all.
jackelboy 4 years ago
hello jackelboy,
your very explanation shows that it is drunkeness...not alcohol. yes, overindulgence causes you to "lose your mind"...but not moderate consumption. if those in Islam were not discouraged from reading the Bible, they would have the guidance need on the matter. Allah clearly tells you that wine is for enjoyment in the Bible...but that drunkeness is prohibited...
WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
...it is clear when a person has had too much. they act foolish or angry. if a person had 3 drinks and they were happy, but not foolish...and then on another occasion they had 5 drinks and acted badly...well, then they would know that they should not drink that much next time. it is not a matter of abstinence...it is a matter of self control. when you consider all Scriptures in the Quran it becomes obvious that it is intoxication...drunkeness that Allah prohibits...not alcohol.
peace
WhereIsTruth 4 years ago
ah, but anything that leads to a sin, could posibly be a sin. For example, in Islam, we dont date or have gf or bf because it leads to premarrigal intercourse. And with the drinks, each person is different. And God being the All Knowing and The ALL Wise, he prhibbitted alcohol instead of just what your limit (because again, each person is different).
jackelboy 4 years ago
jackelboy,
instead of man made rules what you must learn...is self control. God made you a free creature because he trust your ability to worship Him on your own. and He trust you as an individual to exercise self control. humans are intelligent. they can read God's Words with understanding, and then do what is right...because His Guidance is complete.

So how do we know our limit?
jackelboy 4 years ago
the quran never changed, the bible did change and a lot of scholars admitt it. So I think we should follow the Quran. When we come and think of it, alcohol is the cause of so many problems, worldwide a lot of killing raping etc happens because of alcohol so to me it's logic that god would ban such a substance.
