  • haha boltons netto XD

  • I am amazed both series are not shown on youtube now that the series is not continuing apparently. I saw both seasons and ithey were brilliant. I am very surprised a third season was not made. But we could ask whay Rome was not made into a third season. We got no answers!! Brilliant productions do die off unfortunately. But survivors finished with a Cliff hanger, so why on earth didn't they go for a third season!!

  • BBC are shits.

  • do anyone has this film's theme song ( Piano That One ) ?

  • Same supermarket as in Dead Set. LOL

  • Lol " Netto " =D X

  • Me too, loved Carolyn Seymour in this role. Far more BBC :)

  • Caught the first episode of this online and loved it but I can't seem to locate ep. 2 (or any from season 1 for that matter). Wish this aired in Canada. Looks addictive!!

  • You are a third rate critic.

For an initial 6 episodes and another 6 follow-on (due to its popularity with the licence payers) - this is a great programme.

I think it oozes quality (special effects and music for starters) and terrific acting performances.

It is a terrific remake of an old series that was produced, like this one, thanks to the British people.

Epic score, great acting, terrificly written, absorbing and no adverts.

    It is superb.

  • No I would not.

I've sat through 7 hours of modern "Survivors" so far and not been disappointed in any way.

I only came across the series thanks to iPlayer as I've not owned a TV for 2 years now.

The first episode grabbed my attention big time - and so I watched the rest and became a fan.

I don't like your endless "current affairs" and cookery programmes that seem to be the only things you like. But I don't resent paying the fee for what you like.

  • agreed :D

  • dexter is fucking sexy <3 im 15 buh god hes so pale with redish lips and bloo eyes O.O <33333

  • The origional series frm the 70"s can be found on utube right now.

  • The playboy who found naj is called Al in this. He s not a bad sort of person it turns out.

  • How does this compare to the version from the 1970's?

  • @asubjectiveopinion

Are you a film critic or something? STFU and quit complaining about the series with ridiculous crap. They were good actors and this is a great series. Why not you make something better?

  • I don't know - and don't much care.

This version is brilliant - and when it's finished I'll revisit the 70s version which is more relevant to that time period, but - as always with British Sci-fi - makes up for its terrible special effects with a good story and performances.

BBC SF programmes of all sorts from the 70s & 80s should be regarded as a kind of classy TV theatre where the actors take centre stage and convince you that the rubber monsters and cardboard backdrops are the real thing.

  • I hope that BBC America or Sci-Fi Channel pick this up. I loved the original.

  • watch the whole thing for free airdriver by typing bbc iplayer in google. type survivors in the search box.

  • I appreciate the tip. However I just tried it and its not available outside of the UK.

    Thanks anyway, though.

  • this programme is amazing. i've been hooked ever since the first episode! max beesley is such an fab actor! can't wait till everyone finds out he was a criminal! probably right after him and anya get together (which they inevitably will lol) i expect. brilliant tv! bravo bbc!

  • after the final episode yesterday night, i was like, "now that has just set it up for a survivors 2!"

  • I liked max beesley too as the criminal Tom., hes undergoing a radical change.

    great actor.

  • yeah he was awesome. so was (omg ive forgotten his name!) the guy who found Naj. Also the doctor was good.

  • Why can't they make anything this good here in Australia? You don't have to answer that.

  • 1 year later - Home & Away is back on British screens!

    hahahahaha

  • god i HATE the posh stick-to-gether woman AND the prime minister.. in the REAL WORLD post shtf, i am telling you now they'd already have been dinner. wake up BBC, that character is not beneficial post shtf... and what is with a young, female, black prime minister? trying to make a message or two? thank god she capped someone in the head in episode3, getting closer to ground zero at last

  • you've already posted this somehere else, get over it

  • she's not even prime minister.

  • actually she said herself in episode three she was "all that was left of government".

So a black young female prime minister.

  • this is the point were you say obama oops i mean o bummer lmao

  • i have started watching it and i think it is brill my town was in it aswell it was really weird seeing it plus after watching dead set on channel 4 it really appeals to me

  • I was and am a BIG fan of the original 70s series. I wonder if the SURVIVORS in this new show will figure out what RADIOS are for? ie, you can use them to keep in touch even if your Mobile phone does not work. Wil they use ANY technology when the fuel runs out? lets see?

  • Brilliant program, i like the fact thats is just after dead set, keeps the mood going, Britains really getting good at the tv programs, casting is great too....

  • This is filmed in a place called Earlstown which is one part of a town called Newton-Le-Willows in which I live in.

  • They did not even have to tidy it up that much it up that much for a post apocalyptic setting (Fellow local) ;-)

  • i love survivors-cant wait till tuesdays lol.i love zoe tapper-she is excellent!!

  • HAHAHAHAHA mooopooo lol thats a well good name, made me laugh =OD do you think they will release this program on dvd???

  • i love this programme! i can't wait for the next episode..they shud really kill that gang and get all the shops back! :)

  • well i think survivors is brilliant. at long last the bbc has finally delivered something worth the licence fee. And to make things even better, there is no Johnathan Ross anymore....well for three months anyway. Ross a is the biggest pric on television!

  • >>Excuse me!? You have to be a complete halfwit to think that 28 days later is awesome! It's a terrible movie.

    It *was* awesome!

Perhaps you say this...because...You have a weak stomach?

    Cry more.

I'm sorry, but not all movies can be classics, or "luveedubs" starring Richard Gere, I guess you didn't like 30 days of night either!

  • This remake is such utter shite that I'm going to post the original series episode by episode ;

Any one who wants to compare the classic, convincing original with this glossy, vacuous rubbish should subscribe to my site.

  • I like this show i dont usually watch things like this but ive really enjoyed it so far.

  • It's alright this series but if everything was there for the taking, would you choose Netto? personally, I would go find a waitrose. :)

  • Asda or Tesco, surely? :P

  • Lmao, I kinda lol'd and showed my friend when the Netto's sign showed up.

Asda clearly has the best stuff :P

  • I presume the sciece lab guys created the virus in the first place? Not sure i'll watch a third episode, average at best.

  • science - only average at best

  • To me (aged 46 2/3 ) This is simply quite a justification to live. I totally loved the 70's original and see this as a 21st Century incarnation. I can only wonder what China Broadcasting may produce in 2040 - however in the meantime, milles fois Bravo !!

  • survivors is brilliant and whats with the sciance lab guys at the end they trying to find a cure or something ?

  • Excuse me!? You have to be a complete halfwit to think that 28 days later is awesome! It's a terrible movie. And, sadly, Survivors is equally awful too! I have just changed channels after seeing the wise-cracking-pencil-neck-man, with a shotgun, outside Netos...

  • great originality from the bbc, copying 28 days later

  • yeah because survivors features Zombies...Anyway this show was created back in the 70's.

  • this is a remake of the shows from the 70's and features no zombies btw, if anything '28 days later' copied the originals and took it to the extreme (crap film imo but that's besides the point)

  • 28 days later is awesome! (and british!!!)

  • I wonder if the wise-cracking-pencil-neck-man was a wise-cracking-pencil-neck-man before the virus outbreak!? Of course he wasn't, he was just a fearful pencil-neck-man, in a crisp white shirt (duh.) And isn't it strange how the horror of witnessing the death of his family, friends, community, and the rest of the world has suddenly given him a confidence boost, instead of wrecking his timid mind. Survivors is just another pile of rubbish from the moron-witted BBC writers.

  • its still pretty good for TV tho.

  • i do think the reveal of the science lab at the end of the first episode gave a bit too much away too soon. oh well.

  • Oh my god survivors is brilliant! I was sad when Jenny died because that never originaly happened but its still amazing and I really hope Patterson Joseph is the eleventh incarnation of Doctor Who !

  • Might be good is it about zombies or something?

  • it's about people who have survived a global virus that has killed.. about 90% of the worlds population, no zombies this time, just people who have losts their minds and others staking their claims and defending it ^.^

    hope that helped

  • Thanks. Someone thumbed down my comment. Thanks whoever did it

  • i do admitt if it had zombies in it it would be a great peice of tv

  • Lol yeeeeh

  • TUESDAY AT 9:00 ON BBC1. DONT MISS.
