Many more years to come before a star can be born. Typically in China, she would have to excel in a few national contests, enter Central Conservatory High School and Central Conservatory and meet all the right teachers and work very hard. Talents only give a good start! China is a very competitive place for stars to be born. Once so, they are the best and the very best! Wis her good luck! From all of us who appreciate, we wish you success!
@dragon4117 I didnt mean it in a bad way When I was a child my parents made me learn Cello and thats all I did was strive to play cello and become the best I didnt have time to Go play with friends I was only speaking from personal experience She's amazing So chill
She's really excellent. I would have liked it better without that tacky electronic background music though. I would prefer to hear the glorious erhu and her wonderful talent to shine through. No need for that tacky electronic noise crap as a distraction.
D: I don't like how many people assume that she's a prodigy from just one video. Erhu is a flexible instrument, and skills for both fast and slow music make the master, not simply fapping your right hand repeatedly and anchoring your left hand to right spots of the wires. Anybody could just repeatedly move their arms in that fashion, but does that make them experts in this instrument? I'd like to see her play something slower, more serene, and see her full potential, not just rapid fapping.
@XenFrosty Fapping sounds wrong. But it can be considered a skill that creates a tense, perky flurry of reverberated sounds. It's moving your wrist forward and back repeatedly very quickly, very similar to what you wankers do.
Since when do videos have to feature 100% flawless master prodigy epic never-seen-before and never-will-see-again content in order to be enjoyed or considered unique?
Yes, the erhu, to many, is unique in itself—let alone being played by an 8-yr old girl. If we randomly asked groups of 100 non-asians if they've seen a little girl playing an erhu before—or if they even know what an erhu is—I bet, in many samples, you wouldn't even find one. Now with that in mind, please define "unique".
@LiQuiDPeZ Take a walk around China. You'll see loads of more talented children who never got the chance to sit on a fucking fancy stage, playing their masterpieces for someone to tape it down and post it on Youtube. Your standard, will forever be that fucking low. And that , will, for as long as you think it like so, never make you a great musician. Before you even start talking, get an in-depth into the world of music before posting Jesus Christ in my face.
Hi there troll, as I was just making clear, it doesn't matter if there are 'more talented' children. This is good. Enjoyable. Entertaining. Accept it.
COZY suggests we disregard this video as anything of worth and, instead, "walk around the streets of China" looking for talented children to play erhu.
By your logic, if a 30-ft alien crashed its space ship into your fat head tomorrow, it wouldn't be unique because somewhere there'd be an entire world full of them. K thanks, bye.
@LiQuiDPeZ Salutations counter-troll, you can enjoy it all you want. If you really find my comments horrid, then ignore it, idiot. Or, hit yourself. Idiot.
COZY suggests that you understand that this video showcases only one side of China, and before you fuck it up like the 1.3 billion that did, stop assuming things from the first glance.
Through your logic, the world will always be at a standstill, there will never be a version of this song better than hers, and her age's. Ever. Just stagnant.
"If you really find my comments horrid, then ignore it, idiot."
I have a better idea. Until COZY the troll hosts for us a video of another 8-yr old playing the erhu SO UNIQUELY that we agree this video should be taken down and little girl be silenced in comparison, then COZY is nothing but a dirty little troll who gets off on delivering non-sequiturs and calling strangers idiots.
If you're really for the world progressing, stop writing.
@LiQuiDPeZ One, it's 非常好了, 'Fei Chang Hao Le', not cheng. Secondly, by masterpieces, I am referring to the self-made pieces, not a fucking song that existed around 400 years ago, but real songs they made by themselves. Through their emotions. Through their misery and happiness when some kind stranger walks by and gives them a few pieces of silver with bread. Original songs. Not fucking ripoffs that the Chinese have all heard of. Now try rebuking like the other fools.
I assume you're speaking from experience. I've found playing any string instrument quickly to be a little difficult and playing any bowed instrument to be a challenge. I still can't get a decent tone out of my viola.
She can do both, add the little runs and grace notes, and still look like she's not struggling to do it all. It seems pretty impressive to me.
@Hikikomori013 Excellent deduction. Better than XenFrosty, sadly enough. It takes both patience and rhythm to play string instruments well. The erhu is a different change from the viola - The method of grasping the bow is different, as well as the movement of the arm/wrist. Yeah, I praise her for playing this light-hearted tone with precision and speed. But there are 3 main sides of the erhu, and I'd like to see her perform all 3. "if she can do it then so can we!" This made me flip and comment
im 12, started learniing when i was 10, and still i sound like crap and hardly decent to perform...
