Yeah, but the video already has Chinese subtitles so it should have been obvious from the lyrics.

You say Chinese subtitles, but it isn't so obvious since grammar and sentence structure are different between Mandarin and Cantonese.

sori i should have mentioned taht i can't read it either. i can understand cantonese becaue my house speaks it. but besides that i just learned manderine through music.

Umm, Mandarin and Cantonese use the same set of Chinese characters. The only difference between them being pronunciation, syntax, and grammar. So if you know Cantonese and can read it already, you should be able to read Mandarin without too much trouble.

I mean, I come from a family that speaks Hokkien; I learned Mandarin and then was exposed to Cantonese during my stint in Hong Kong and I didn't have much difficulty getting around Hong Kong.

sori maybe i wan't specific enough. i can speak it. but i can't read any chinese what so ever. i no its weird. but i can't read it. i can only communicate to others with it, because i grew up in a family that speaks cantonese. I'd get around HK, by talking to ppl but i won't b able to read anything. lol
