I agree with most of what Gerald says, but I have to disagree with him when he says a "Productive Capacity" can save us. The reason why he is wrong about this is because that will be great for the small number of highly educated and skilled Americans, but it will do NOTHING for the 200 Million American Adults who are uneducated high school graduates or drop outs who also have low or no skills.

The productive capacity will do nothing for them in terms of employment.

In my experience reading Lew Rockwell's site almost daily and engaging with Ron Paul supporters (whom I also support), many libertarians, b/c of either atheism, relativism, or hatred of the neocons - or some other reason, don't take religion seriously enough to draw differences b/t Islam and Christianity. Islam is also an immigration problem, especially in Europe, and libertarians want open borders and expect everyone to be basically the same, i.e. libertarianism is a form of liberalism.

If you read John Locke's absurd Letter on Toleration or David Hume's Dialogues on Natural Religion, you will discover the limits of classical liberalism when dealing with religion. Our founders took for granted a relative religious homogeneity which is not present today. Per classical liberalism, the Swiss banning minarets violates religious freedom. Classical liberalism cannot grapple w/Islam.
