I would suggest lowering your crash symbol & if you lower the floor toms a little, it should allow easier use of techniques such as crossovers between the floor toms & snare & hitting the floor toms with your left hand under your right hand.

In my drumming book, i have it talks about a single-stroke roll. it says, dont confuse the single-stroke roll with the buzz roll. (AKA the multiple bounce roll) cause a single-stroke roll is played RLRL and so on. so what really is a drum roll? a buzz roll or a single-stroke roll?

@jglittlej Lol that would be awesome, but it's technically impossible, and even if you could, it'd be bad technique. The idea of a closed (press) roll is to allow the rebound of the drum to bounce the stick many times. Pillows have no rebound, so your wrists would have to play each of the notes, which is improper technique. BUT, It'd still be purty badass lol.
