  • Where is allan mcdonald in this video. He is the whole reason we have this video and data on the conspiracy. NASA what a joke. The private sector is going to kick their butt.

  • GET RID OF MANAGERS. WHAT A PACK OF FUCKHEADS. AMERICA IS VERY INTELLIGENT, BUT ALOT OF DUMB PEOPLE WITH NO COMMONSENSE ARE MAKING DECISIONS ABOVE THOSE PEOPLE. AS FOR THE TWO MANAGERS THAT RETIRED - I HOPE THEY LIVED A SHIT LIFE AND DIE A PAINFUL DEATH. BASTARDS.

  • If there had been a wikileaks in 1986, would there have been a Challenger disaster?

  • I just wonder how Thiokol won the contract for SRB in 1973 even though they had to transport it on land (which meant it had to be built in parts...)

  • Hey guys 3-E i'm watching you

  • Since the mid '60's we've been living in a "cartoon world". It's like a Monty Python sketch of the absurd...but the absurd is now reality. After Apollo, the engineering philosopy of testing sub-components was replaced by the "all up" philosophy where everything is built from scratch to work together as one unit. The majority of the shuttles problems stem from this way of building a complex machine. Unfortunetly, mohamadlikazi is mostly correct.

  • america is ruled by the worst of the worst people on the planet...

if you want to make it big in america, you better be corrupt, deceptive, sadistic, jealous, power hungry and manipulative.... otherwise give up the dream and lead a good life.

  • @mohamadalikazi yeah i know, meanwhile places like somalia, the congo, libya, iran, and saudi arabia are ruled by upstanding men who care about justice and fairness.

millions of people come to america every year, and plenty do great. the ones that are losers are jealous. you sound like one. i suggest that if you don't like it here, leave. i'll help you pack.

  • @karlsmith00 awwww... ur such a patriot.. felt so bad when i talked bad (truth) about america...

no thanks i ll pack myself, just buy me the $1800 ticket and i am HAPPILY so ever on my way

otherwise eat my pubic hair and shut the fuck up. fucking Bush whore.

  • @mohamadalikazi i didn't vote for bush, he's a bigger stupider whore than you are. but i know that i like living here, and if you don't, you should get the fuck out because you aren't wanted anyway.

got that, "mohamad ali kazi"? move to yemen or pakistan and have a good life. i'm glad you're packing yourself, get cracking. you can go eat your father's pubic hair in a nice muslim country, leave normal people alone.

  • @karlsmith00 lol

  • @karlsmith00 Don't take his bait. He's just an America hating retard. Let him move to Dirkadirkastan or whatever Muslim country he wants to and see if he can say the same things about the government there.

  • Dilbert could't have said better man!!! It seems irrational but that's the way it works I guess.

  • the thiokol and nasa people might be happy they don't live in turkey or kazachstan, where they'd be erased by the fathers and brothers of those killed - if they'd find out that 7 lifes were sacrificed for the sake of career pursuit and money of the resonsible for the disaster...

  • Reminiscent of the days of Apollo and earlier, when the astronauts used to jokingly refer to sitting on top of a million pounds of highly volatile rocket fuel, in a spacecraft with thousands of parts that all must function propertly, and all submitted by the lowest bidder. Truthfully, they trusted their craft and excepted the risk. But in those days, the engineers were the key, they personally knew the flight crews, and they had much more say. Bureaucrats will foul up all the time.

  • Thank you very much for uploading this documentary PCXBOX360!

  • intense ! .........simply intense !

  • This is a clear example of where engineering ethics and the act of "whistle-blowing" must be taken into consideration.

  • It would seem the biggest risks in space travel are actually the managers, the craving for profit and the lack of deterrant for criminal negligence; and the cheapest resource is human life.

And how blaise is Reagan's speech, like ok, so NASA, government and Thoikol have betrayed the people, but hey nevermind, we're still in power, and those lives can make us a better product so more profit, so its business as usual folks.

Just stick a few names on some rocks and holes to calm 'em down.

  • Idea: Invite the astronauts into that "night before-secret meeting" and ask THEM if they want to launch in the cold weather.

  • @jethangar exactly. The problem is they wouldnt want to decide. I wonder if Someone had told the astronauts were told of the oiring?

  • It´s always the money factor over the human factor. How sad and tragic - the worst being nobody was even punished for this terrible thing. Thanks for the documentary - a real eye-opener.

  • Budget cuts from this fool so the wealthy can have a tax cut.Rot in hell you murderer.

  • Comment removed

  • Why is it always that when something like this happens, the people who knew what they were talking about get punished or canned, while the arseholes get promoted?

  • @jazzkeyboardman

because most people don't give a shit for other people lifes... especially when their own life or fortune is at stake...

  • @jazzkeyboardman

It's easy - it's just a chain reaction: an influential guy want to get even more influence at NASA; he's got public money to spend; a company (e.g. Thiokol) can help him up in exchange for the public money which becomes private money of Thiokol senior management; the senior management wants the money and encourages full loyalty; i.e. $50.000 personal bonus for a new contract on one hand vs lifes of 7 unknown people => for some, the choice is easy....

  • @specnaz1977 Check out the story of reactor core engineer (for the Fukushima plants) Mitsuhiko Tanaka.

    3 million yen bonus.

  • disgusting example of the good guys losing...the whistleblowers were alienated from their jobs and pressured out, while the managers who killed the astronauts and annihilated a billion-dollar piece of machinery never get punished.

  • @Inferno41

the question is: why nobody sued them?

  • @Inferno41 thats the world we live in good guys finish last bad guys sit and laugh the good ppl always pay 4 it ppl get use 2 it

  • Money cant buy love nor can it buy 7 other people..Managment couldn't comprehend that

  • Human factor seems to be always issue to aero space industries.:(
