Miss them both now it is so sad that Radio Stations like KRTH have forgot them

  • Very well done video. Great footage.

  • Wonderfully done! Thanks so much.

Even after this long time it makes you sad just to think about the whole situation. The best friend alive and sitting next to you - and the next moment he´s gone. All too sad.

  • 10-4 on that dude. I was three years old when Eddie died. I miss him big time.

  • Cheers, I noticed the title only after posting the comment... By the way, do you know where can I find the lyrics of this amazing song? Thank you very much

  • 我愛搖滾 , 我愛女人

  • wher can I find Lyrics of this song?

  • look french forum Gene vincent

    all lyrics

link on french Gene website on the top of this page

  • この二人のかっこよさ、音楽の素晴らしさは最初にして永遠のものだ。

  • It is ironic that Gene & Eddie never achieved the popularity in their home country that they did in England. I never got to see Eddie Cochran perform live, nor was I fortunate enough to see Gene Vincent in his hey day. American's seem oblivious today to the fact that their music back then was so highly influential. There will never be another Eddie Cochran or a Gene Vincent. They really were true giants of REAL rock & roll!

  • soo true. we brits used to hear your music through the docks as in a ship would deliver goods and also rock n roll records that yer sailers used to have on board. The rest is history!!!!!!!

  • nobody thought about that, we will be obliged to make it , Steff ! - (words that will awaken some ?... maybe

Lee-Loo / French fan club Gene Vincent

  • When will some films be made about these guys, their friendship, and their music?

  • Hi Mate, had to reply, man a movie on these 2 guys, how good would that be?? long over due let me tell you, we need it bad, i guess we both know what i mean right, i read his biography, studied interviews etc, he was the original ROCKER!!! RIP mate !!!one of your fans!!!PS Have you seen HOT ROD Gang the Movie ???

  • Nope, never caught that film. Will put it on my must see list.

  • This gives me goose bumps. It's too good.

  • vous resterais a jamais dans notre coeur

  • c est l annee de ma naissance j'adore cette chanson

  • God bless both of them. Two of rock n roll's genuine legends. Never to be forgotten.

  • sa c'est de la vrai musique

  • love genes voice, love this song. gene and eddie never forgotten.

  • Wunderbar, ich bekomme Gaensehaut!

  • Wonderful!

  • two of the greatest ,,rock and roll is richer fo r their contributions, thanks for posting this

  • Thanks for this compilation!! Also Eddie cochran was one of the first to wear black leather which was considered outrageous back then....how times have changed

  • I thought Jim Morrison was the first to wear leather as a musician, but I was wrong.

  • Gene Vincent died on October 12th 1971 from a ruptured stomach ulcer while visiting his father in California

  • soon big Gene's website ... in english for all, with his story, year by year

    gene-vincent.iquebec . com

  • long live the two rockabilly legends. It has really touched me . Great job

  • They had their day....

    LONG MAY IT CONTINUE.

  • It's the best.

  • Hi Kybabe44 I totally agree with you. I didn't have the chance to live in the 50's but I also think it has been the best era ever. I love R'n'R music and deem myself a loyal fan of those amazing singers and above all, eddie cochran. Don't you think why they're all gone but what a luck they ever existed!! From Spain to the world long live to R'n'R!!

  • jav77rnr: Yes, we were lucky to have them even for so short a time, but it's unreal how much you miss them. I was so in love with Eddie. Thanks to the internet & EBay, I

now have over 1,000 pics. of him, something I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd ever have. After Eddie, Gene, Buddy, J.P., Ritchie & Bobby Darin, music went to hell. Now we can see them on the computer, but it's sad, for me anyway. Thank you for writing to me. I will send you my Email address, if you want, but how?

  • life is a change and what great changes they brought ,You got great taste in tunes

  • coupe662; Eddie was the greatest, and the best looking. When he died a part of me died with him. I seriously thought of suicide, but had no idea how to do it. Back ohen parents didn't have guns, and I couldn't get enough pills, so I'm still here. I would much rather be with the stars of my generation. Maybe they were lucky to have gone out when they were young, good looking and on top. They will forever be remembered that way.

  • Well dear KyBabe44, although I was just born back in 1973, I do have the same thoughts you had, when Eddie died...

At least Chuck and some other fellows are still allive...

But what then?? When they are gone???

    I don´t know...

I guess, I will just follow them to Rock´n Roll Heaven just to be with all my heros

But till then, we just have to live in "Lonesome Town"...

  • Thank you for your sweet response. The 50s was the greatest era ever. Why so many of our great performers had to die so young I'll never know. I guess they've got it going on in Heaven and are waiting for us. I have left so many messages for Eddie on "Find a Grave." One said "When these messages stop coming, I will be in Heaven with you." I am so addicted to the song "The Love of a Man." I listen to it over and over every day. It is so sad, but such a beautiful song. "Lonesome Town."

  • Kybabe44: Thats something each and every person have to decide. maybe they were lucky to have "gone out" when they were young, but I think that life is so much more than beeing famous and beeing remembered as " a young and on top" person. You still have to take care of the ones you love even I if you dont want to live, because maybe the other persons cant live without you.. Eddie was one of the best and truely died young but he changed rock history just beeing alive, beeing loved.

  • coupe662: I didn't really mean they were lucky to have died so young. (45 years later), I keep trying to rationalize WHY they had to die so young, good looking, tralented and at the top of their careers. I would give anything to change it, but that's for God to decide - not me. Life was just never the same.

  • Quelle superbe chanson.

  • They will truely stand the test of time.

    Thanks for sharing

  • O god Some things are made keeping, and will last forever, songs by Cochran and Gene are thoose kind of things.

  • Beautiful. I been listening to this stuff for 30 years now, I still love every second of these guys' music. Gene Vincent's voice was marvelous, as Eddie's & his guitar, they can make you cry.

  • gloire a toi gégene et eddie

  • I agree with "lunarock." I am obsssed with this song and addicted to this site. I can't evan count the number of pictures I have of Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran. I'm one of those people who live in the past - not to mention an obsessed fan.

  • It's OK Kybabe44. You are addicted to the best music that ever was. Late 50's and early 60's--THere was nothing like it--Sad thing is that so many have gone---Buddy, Elvis, Gene & Eddy--- But their music is still here! Enjoy! Good Luck to all from the Captain!

  • Thank you Captain. That was sweet. Really sweet.

  • whats the name of this song?

  • love of a man

  • thankyou =D i'm obessed with this song..

  • Me too, i'm so obessed!

  • Gene and Eddie

  • music can only touch those who want 2 listen-and they should!

  • My gawd...back on that plane

    without Eddie...

    Heartbreaking

  • PAULLONDEN: You said it. The entire situation was heartbreaking. I'm sure Eddie was never the same after Buddy's death, then Gene had to endure as you said, getting "back on that plane without Eddie." Maybe he had time to absorbe it, but I doubt it. It's been 47 years and that hasn't been enough time for me to absorbe it. I'm sure they're all together though,as Eddie said, "Singing for God now."

  • gionarta at the age of 4-5 years you want to have gene vincet or was it a marvel Puppet

that i will believe the rest not

  • j'adore c'est romantique comme nous!!!!mon bébé

  • ??? Je ne vous connais pas ...

  • Very nice indeed,

  • Thank you Anneeces you cunt. LOVE IT.

  • Can you download this song from anywhere?

  • Sure you can HERE ................ If you have not got Free Realplayer download it & then download any video with it.

  • I saw Gene in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, when he toured with Micky Most - must have been around 1960 or so. I still play his songs to this day, even though I'm 67! I love this song too, and so many of his classics. I drive with his CD's playing in my car -- from Over the Rainbow to Rollin' Danny, and Frankie and Johnny to Rocky Road Blues! He was a GREAT singer with a most unique voice. Rock on, Gene! And thanks to all you guys and gals who post his songe up here. Cape Town, Oct 2007

  • You have 7 years on me, I'm 60 I used to deliver groceries to Gene's house in South London in the early 60s, he was a gentleman, always offered a drink(hot in winter)and always tipped

  • philipOs So cool!! Did you ever take a drink with him???

Tell us a little more about him..

  • I love this song and will keep posting that I do. I was listening to Gene Vincent ballads as an 18 year old in 1980 and was entranced.

  • Gene and Eddieeeeee...

I don´t care what people say, but Rock´n Roll is here to stay..

    RIP

  • what a great song - sad to say, i've never heard it before.

  • if they wer still alive i bet anythin they would be still touring 2day.

  • God Bless......Eddie & Gene........RIP

  • loved it "thanx"

  • As with all the great legends, Richard, Presley, Holly, Cochran, Domino Berry, et. al. their records could never match the electric excitement of their stage show. Oh for a return to those days.

  • I was lucky enough to be at a Little Richard concert in Hammersmith, London when the MC announced that a singer wished to meet his fans. This usually meant an unknown was about to crash the show, but the MC said "Here is Mr. Gene Vincent". Stunned silence - Gene walked on stage and announced that due to Union rules he couldn't sing on stage. He simply came down amongst the audience and burst into Say Mama.

  • Same thing happened to me at Southampton. Can't remember what he sang, but what a night. Also saw Gene at a dance at Fareham Town Hall. Sang from the floor again. Soon as he started singing all the rockers started fighting. I hid behind my girl's skirts.

  • Nice to hear this one again. The "B" side to I'm Goin' Home backed by the Sounds Incorporated and recorded in the UK studios.

  • Please teach a title of this music.

Is this song a song of Eddy Coquelin?

  • That ballad could have been on an Elvis album and nobody would have heard that it wasn't Elvis that sang it

  • everybody i think

  • Well, since I am a big fan of them both I can hear the difference. But it is very Elvis influenced. And that is absolutely not a bad thing :P
