To hear carols inspiring story, go to: Her Name is Ms Ann, on YOUTUBE. It will surely inspire you as her minister tells it! A MUST READ. She has also taken it up the ass from turks!
My brother told me that if the final tally comes up to less than 1% difference, then there will be a coin toss!! Well I'm happy that he's WRONG WRONG WRONG!! :D
Good grief people. This woman has probably been bushwhacked three dozen times on Radio Talk Shows with everything but what the shows people told her they would be talking about. That is COMMON shit with most talk radio. Once she was past that first line and found out she was talking with intelligent, thoughtful people she was fine. So she has short shrift with sheeple. Hooray! It's about time our elected reps stopped being "nice" and did their jobs instead of playing to the crowd.
I would think she certianly does know what shes talking about considering she authored the Cardholder's Bill of Rights. Its about some time someone had the guts to do something about the way we are getting ripped off by credi card companies.
First of all when she got snippy about a polite conversation starter he should have thrown 'er off the show. Secondly, she has absolutely no idea what she's talking about. She's obvioulsy just doing the circuit to talk up her bill, and comes across like a pushy telemarketer doing so. This is a perfect example of why, while a Dem, I'm not a progressive. More of a classical liberal.
I did a bit of checking as I wasn't sure about my post below on Wyoming.
Should've typed South Dakota.
Citibank, headquartered in New York City, operates it credit card division from an office in South Dakota so they can charge whatever they want & not be in violation of usury.
But, you get the idea of how they escape usury laws...remember that for these banks it's not where you live, but where their financial base is that determines maximum interest.
P1ranh4 - no, you heard right. We have no maximum interest rate in the USA.
I believe all states but 2 (Wyoming & ?) have usury laws stating the maximum interest rates that can be charged in the state.
Then the lobbists for the lenders worked w/ Congress & on the Courts to make it so the max. int. rate is determined not by the residence of the borrower, but the financial base of the lender.
Thus, the companies moved their financial base to the states with no maximum.
They also charge you 15 or 20 dollars if you DON'T have enough money in you bank account, that is the most føcking retarded thing I noticed when I lived in Florida for a year.
Banks MAKE MONEY off of having ANY money in their banks, charging customers ANYTHING for keeping their money is idiotic.

I support Rep. Maloney for the Senate appointment NOT Mrs. Kennedy. Rep. Maloney is more qualified.

She's a B*T*H cuz she wouldn't even answer where in the world she is calling from. Cenk should have hung up on her right then.

WTF? How can a politician be so snide and ill-mannered? Cenk should have cut the mic and banned her from the show.

Cenk interviews the queen of the gun grabbers.
Nice to see after the election, the democrats are not running away from gun control anymore.
