@filmtress - None of them are white... They are all "authentic"... I can let them know though if you'd like, that the white ochre they wear can cause confusion amongst ignorant people...
Kia Ora Boys, I Remember aroun 95 or 96 you guys brought a group over to N.Z and stayd in My small town Otaki. Wicked to see you guys still going hard. Che from Us MAoris from Otaki. Must have made an impression I Live in Brizzy Now.
i'm french film maker ,and i make a doco about the 'after sorry day "in australia ,in one uny of the west sydney ,this band give a good show for the kids of the stolen generation and take the time to talk on my mic.
is was a great day for all they kids ,and me and they teacher .
uncle yvan talk me about the story of the red jacket ,where the go for sharpe the spear and more ,my baby is born in campbelltown and is one part of this land like say uncle yvan .
So nice to see, i love tribal dance groups and the welcoming is across boards throughout Indigenous cultures, to give reverance to the First People's of that territory that loved the land, creation, life, ancestors, and the Creator.
I met them 2 years ago when they came to California for a didgeridoo festival (I shot this video). Bobby didn't make it on that trip, or the regular song man either, but the boys still rocked the place :)
true, Cecil had some trouble getting to the US that year, so Andrew did most of the singing... I hope I get to see the boys again someday, they were a fun bunch
oi dolphinsweet u got it all wrong playing the didge is louis the 1 talking is andrew the other two are darren and shane there all my uncles andrew is my mums brother i go dancin with em all the time
Your mum told me who was who but doesn't matter still family, little ebsie I know who mum is lol and your and pop etc, I'm family lol check out my video;s and you will see
get a life hows that for a expression. you do not know me and i do not know you get on with your life as i am my own. carry on drinking beer or what ever it is you do. being white doesnt make me the bearer of all bad things white people do. read it your self
we must sustain and protect all cultures to me this is one of the main importances to our human developement as we have interaction and something palitable to compare our interests desires and emotions towards. ~GOD BLESS US ALL~
You say that, then say god bless us all? Cause y'know God is open to different cultural speculation, and has been used in most cases to demonize other cultures and their beliefs.
no thats religion. spirituality is a much older human practice. you can look on the concept of god as a phrase, generator operator and destroyer. but i wouldnt go as far as to remit references to god as factual. to know oneself is to know ones worth.
its very easy to pick out a fault, there is more to us than intellect. i see conversing with you has only one point and its in the downward direction. (look up the word dogma) i did not start or begin too preach, (you asked questions)i do not explain myself to you specifically i feel no need to advocate for myself where as you feel the need to mud sling and label as if being white or black comes into perspective ?
i looked but could not find the specific prase so i presume i am missing the piece you are referring too. i will not get the chance to visit austrailia as i cannot afford much especially a plane ticket to the other side. so i can only watch TV and listen to what people have to say about austrailan aborginal people. my impression is of the mature elders being complacent and very contented with there lives , something alack in cities these days.
@oddmusic Not to poop too much on your facts lol, while they were partially right, but we now beleive its 40,000-125,000 yrs ago!!, insane right, and theyre much more knowledgeable as far as word of mouth history is concerned then most modern civs. It truly is a remarkable culture....
@vadawgboy True... without any written language, other than artwork, the word of mouth history is very strong in their proud culture, and yes you are right, an amazing culture indeed !

You shouldn't preach to other peole about their god/s or concept of being intouch with their spirituality.
That is the first and worst crime of a whiteman-r u white?

Thank you for your truelly spiritual and complete expression. GOd forbid I have an opinion and not agree, lest I be titled Dogmatic.
Do me a favour and look up the power of whiteness on koorinet, by Gary Foley.Perhaps, with education this type of hostility does not have to occur.

who are australian indians???????
muffles12 4 years ago
The Aboriginal people are the original indigenous people of Australia, which much evidence points to being from 40,000 to 60,000 years old.
