That doesnt mean you abandon the whole company. Ibanez is very good. The price that I can get an Ibanez with a floyd and everything is better than most other guitar companies. A lot guitar companies dont even give half the stuff you can get in that price range that Ibanez gives you. And a lot of companies make very low grade guitar for the Ibanez price range trust I know.

id say jem single the extra pickup makes it a little more versatile. plus the trem systems are different i prefer the one in the jem personally i think it resists a little more and i can put the balls on the strings straight in the egen is a bit softer and i think u have 2 cut the balls of me and the neck on the jem has different dimentions which i prefer i havnt played a egen, so this is a little bias but ive read good things about them i have played a jem and i am in love with themiplan2get
