  • The best generation of the Toyota Camry!

  • @talldude123 personally I agree. 2nd is the 2012 Camry.

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper not this generation of Camrys. They stopped making the wagon and coupe after 1996. Though the coupe came in 99 as the Solara and the wagon was sold in other countries.

  • These have interior filters that sometimes are so dirty that airco etc. isn't working properly. But a very nice car and very reliable.

  • @vangestelwijnen I don't have that in my Camry.

  • @vettefreak89 It seems that more Camry owners (in Holland) thought the same, but you should have a filter on the side behind the gas pedal. After many years this gets dirty. If you clean it, it makes a lot of difference. Your airco should work much better with a clean or new filter. It concerns your series of the Camry, and I've read several stories about owners not knowing they had one. Maybe you can check anyway? It can be a 'Dutch' feature, but I doubt that.

  • @vangestelwijnen ah hmm I will take a look into that and make a video for it if I do find the spot for one. From what I heard and seen it was mostly the Lexus ES300 (based on this) that had it but the buyer had to request it for the camry.

  • I have got the 1998 CSI and I am getting the shits with it, it was my dads old car and the previous people obviously didnt look after the car, is it normal to hear the sound this one is making? mine makes the same sound :( cant find the location where the oil leak is (so I dont know if its a simple thing) and the material for the roof lining is coming down, question is how do I go about learning to replace or reattach the roof lining, the material is in good cond, fluff come loose &flaked off.

  • I have a 1998 Camry LE and it just took me cross country with no problems! One of the most dependable cars ever!

  • dude the 1999 has standard daytime running lights...

  • @abcdwonder95 And I already mentioned it. Like I said it was on LE and XLE trims for '99.

  • @vettefreak89 Oh im sorry i did not catch that. Do you have any modifications within a budget that you recommend?

  • i bought a 1998 camry with 68k :P for 1200 =]

  • My parents had a 1997 Camry LE V6 & I am positive it had auto UP & down drivers window? Maybe yours just isnt working? Or maybe im wrong , ha

  • @zakyum I am pretty sure it is just down cause in the owner's manual it talks about express auto down windows.

  • jesus christ u sound so friendly and frutty

  • @VETTEFREAK89 HI I AM THINKING ABOUT BUYN A V6 99 CAMRY WITH 137THOUSAND MILES ON IT. DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE VERY RELIABLE??

  • When you said the 2000 and 01 had standard daytime running lights, i have a 99 that is the same exact car as yours and i have DRLs on mine. it uses the same lights as the high and low beam but its a dimmer light than even the low beam.

  • @zachtravers you are right on that. Thanks for pointing that out. It was on LE and XLE trims for '99.

  • @vettefreak89 I'm not sure if this is part of the aftermarket alarm I have or not, but I also have automatic headlights. it's not marked anywhere on the stalk, but if the lights are in the "off" setting, then they will turn on when they sense the change in light. I can see the sensor up near the windshield.

  • @zachtravers it is not part of the alarm at all. I don't have a 99 Camry near me but if I find one I will figure out how it works on it.

  • @zachtravers I AM GOING TO CHECK OUT A 99 V6 CAMRY 137,000MILES . IF IT RUNS WELL SHOULD I BUY IT FOR ABOUT 3 THOUSAND DOLLARS?

  • @graffwriter17 if da person sells it to u for 3grand buy it cuz the resale on em is actually about 3600

  • @zachtravers WOULD IT BE VERY RELIABLE?

  • @graffwriter17 I'd go for it! I love mine!

  • @zachtravers alright thanks i might just get a four cylinder 99 camry itll save alot of gas

  • @graffwriter17 it will. I am getting about 25 mpg with my driving. and a tank would last about almost 300 miles.

  • i just bought a 2000 camy LE V6 5-speed manual a few days ago and i love it. its very rare

  • In Australia they sold a wagon version of this model

  • Hi I just have a quick question. I just got a '97 LE Camry about a week ago on owner clean little car. I just noticed as I was looking for that particular Camry model 99% of them on craigslist, Cars dot com, ebay.... had an after market head unit in them also all the 4th gen camrys on youtube seem to have after market head units and mine came with an after market unit. Do you know why this is? Was it a recall or problem with the stock radios? Whats up with that? Good vid by the way!

  • @Thegarmendia the stock radio had a tape player in them and most people now a days have iPods and what not. It would seem logical to change it. I like the stock speaker set up though. Turn the bass at max and volume up a bit and it will start shaking lol. And thank you I am thinking of doing a video on my mom and dad's vans.

  • AAAAHHHH, Katy Perry, turn it off! Anyway, nice detailing!

  • @AirCanadaA55555A haha thank you

  • @vettefreak89 Well, just for the record, don't let Katy drive in it, its to good for her!

  • @vettefreak89 No prob man!

  • I have the same model/year and engine. Im trying to figure if motor is dohc or not.

Most cars say it on valve cover. I only see one cam/pulley. Looking at this engine it would appear to be sohc. My question is how do you know that its dual because im getting ready to change timing belt/waterpump. I guess I just have to take it apart then get the parts matched up.

  • @razed1022 it is a DOHC.

  • Ye lets go ahead lol, nice video brah!!!

  • @moneyshop16 thanks man.

  • lol nice... i live in texas too

  • Nice video. Just a suggestion though; try to project your voice, you mumbled sometimes in the video.

  • despite the mileage, these cars are really reliable. they say they can go up to 300k.

  • @celsovera91 haha I am going to get this car to 500k.

  • nice video bud! Thanks for the shout out! :)

  • @saabkyle04 you are very welcome!
