I'm set on getting a GTX 560 Ti. Sure, the 550 would be an upgrade from my GTS 250... But the 560 Ti handles AA far better than the 550 Ti at high resolutions.

I typically go by "an upgrade is an upgrade" but for once I just want to make a purchase and be done with it for a few years. I don't want to save $70 now just to spend another $150 in 2 years, when I could spend the extra and be safe for a good 4-5.

I got a Gigabyte GTX 550 Ti. The box says that it have 1 GB video memory but dxdiag tells me that it have 4 GB. DAFUQ.

Windows vista/7 tend to share ram with the graphics card.

But I recommend using up the graphics card's ram rather than extend or it will be painful.

@GamerFreakzCOM i am certain 2 550ti's are not better than a 570, they aren't even better than a 560 ti if i remember right. you made a great choice. the best single card you can afford is always the best choice if you ask me. i have a gtx 580 and although the performance can be matched for cheaper using SLI or crossfire, the performance cannot be matched with the same power consumption, heat, noise and simplicity. you did the right thing.
