I love that Electric cars are really catching on now. I imagine I will eventually own one. For now though, a hybrid is the more practical choice for me. In the US there is actually big support for building a charging infrastructure across the country, so the electric cars won't be limited on distance. Currently I have a 2010 Prius and have realised the pleasure of enjoying the gas savings. I fill up once a month mostly. I go about 885 km on a tank of gas.
Personal vehicles will NOT be allowed to waste gas pretty soon. It's a depleting resource. Get with it. The future is electric. The grandparents still drive gas pick-ups - it OLD technology!! Gawd! How many fools want to live in the '50's still. Move on . . .
All the electric car reviews are the same these days "oh it's so quite", "oh it drives just like a regular car". This is bullshit. Anyone can make an electric car that will feel good on a short road test. The bottom line is you have a compact car that costs like an executive saloon and makes maybe 80 miles per charge in real world scenarios (it'll never make the promised 100 miles). Excuse me if I'm not ecstatic like the reviewer.
@sparkss4 Go suck some Iranian and Libyan oil dick you traitor, Sorry your car runs on terrorist oil.MIne wont after i get my leaf in December! American produced electricity will suit my driving needs just fine!! 80 to 100 miles will give me 3 days driving around town.

The Nissan Leaf is priced at 25k which is no where in the executive saloon league.
