  • i understand using modified servo in the back but what did you use in the front setup? U-Bar and than used a Big Bad Johnson Motor? Just curious because i am trying to build one as i write this. I love your works of art. keep up the awesome work!

  • watch?NR=1&v=OaCGtB65cq0

  • i love it

  • where can i get one of these?

  • sell it to me ill give u $1000

  • Those lowrider homies you put in the other caddy was a nice touch you should put like 4 of them in it fill it up.

  • OMG EUREKA @!! I think I just figured out how you get them hydro sounds and, I have an extra set off an R/C truck I just may buy a big 57 chevy and try me luck !

  • ahahahahahah

  • wyjebany bajer:D

  • $80 lol if only you new how many hours goes into these sort of projects, in reality its hard to put this sort of time into money terms . its a labour of love and the disability of not being able to sit at peace until the bench is scattered in tools and coffee cups lol regards a fellow bench dweller

  • @jinxym You got it right.

  • how does the back raise? i build these as a hobby but i dont see any strings? is the motor pushing instead of pulling?

  • @b17ek A modded micro servo pushes the axle down.

  • @jevries thanks i figured it had to be some kind of servo... but keep up the fantastic work

  • thumbs up if you got one at plaza mecico

  • ghetto

  • hops higher then some real cars xD

  • hahahaha the music music makes me laugh

  • @CFLKS411 WHY

  • @707norcalchicano I dont know it just does. why do you care what amuses me

  • Respond to this video... youtube mzslowbob 4 some homemade hopping model cars

  • supertight ride

  • That's friggin tight, man.

  • sweet

  • heylooking for some fun if you know what i mean just msg meh

  • Szkoda że w Polsce nie ma takich modeli :/

  • if you ever put an RC car together then its pretty simple from there. if u have never then.....mmmm it may take some time to get an understanding of parts like servos, recv, radio's etc....but its not rocket science by a long shot

  • I did not had any experience with RC stuff before I created these rides. I don't think RC I think in terms of lowrider and how to make it move.

The beauty of my RC rides is that the setups are so plain and simple that even die hard RC builders don't have a clue how it's done. The real challenge lays in coming up with simple solutions...and that's not as easy as it sounds.

  • I see the radio controller, but how do you make it talk to the car? Where can I get the parts to make a radio controller transmitter/receiver? Great work by the way. Love the realistic look and the detail.

  • Thanks!

I used salvaged parts from a $5 micro RC vehicle. Antenna is just a wire that runs around inside the car. Reception is about 4 meters.

  • please tell what the name of this song is!

  • Must be great for getting over things like curbs, getting out of pot-holes.

  • Hi Jevries! Your lowrider it' s fantastic! Can you tell me where can I buy a Mabuchi HO? And what are the Dubro Servo Coupler?

  • HO motor are also called slot (car) motors if you want to know the exact type try the Mabuchi website. A servo coupler is basically the same as a rivet. Rivets you can buy at a craft store.

  • how do you build those and can that thing drive forward?

    plz reply thanx

  • This is a very basic setup using toy micro RC parts. It can't drive, it lifts the rear using a modified micro servo and hops the front using a regular 130 motor on 3,6V.

    J

  • thanks but could you put a vid on youtube to just give people a general idea of how to do it? if not thats still cool.

  • It's a hell of a job putting together a good how to video. I'm still working on my first how to DVD called Lock&Hop but lack of time put that project on a hold.

    J.

  • This will probably sound stupid, but what is a mircro servo? and what does it do? I've tried googling it.

  • I get tons of info when I Google micro servo.

It's a small gear motor that is used in RC cars, planes, boats, etc.

  • All I could find where websites that sold them. Thank's though, I bet you get alot of simple question's like that. Would make some decent money off that DVD.

  • Not for sale, build for a friend of mine quite some time ago.

    New creations will follow soon.

    J.

  • That video is the "SHIZNIT" mix of the day!

  • what the crap?!, that's o cool! =O

  • That Shit Is Raw

  • plllllllllllzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sell that to me

  • Minable !

  • how much will you sell it for? get back at me.

  • if you add alittle weight to it it wont jump so fast...

  • it supa tight

  • Screw drive rear /w T slide front?

  • no tslide,, its a u-bar

  • A T Slide is a u-bar m8....

  • can you actually drive it??

  • i forgot the name of the song but the artist is "el chicano"

  • What song is this ??

  • hey could you sell me this one please i beg you ill pay...........$80

  • aww man thats bad ass! but if it were driveable and it could hop on all 4's. then i would give it a 10

  • nice

  • thats mad sick bro!

  • nice!

  • what kind of eletronical stuff do you use?

    are servo motor?

    very nice Work!!

  • that is gangster did u make it

  • great work how long have you been building these

  • pity thats all it does you should have made it drivable to then it might be great :)

  • he makes them... i think

  • Cadillac, Very Nice

  • Can it go off road? LOL =)

  • hey have you come up with a price if you sell them yet? let me know or if you could make a 1/6 scale one for me how much would it cost?

  • Let me know where you find a 1/6 model OK?

  • lol... The slow motion made it look pretty real and cool.

  • With a bit more patience you can almost make it hop like in slow motion by adding weights to both the front and rear to balance it.

  • Do you build these? Where could I get my hands on one, I wan't a 54 Bel Air!!!

  • What he said, only a 1955 Citroen DS

  • does it drive

  • SWEET

  • could you do that with a radioshack xmods

  • too heavy and not enough room

  • another cool model- great job

  • awesome

  • nice video

  • lol classic

  • wat scale?

  • 1/24. Most miniature rides I build are 1/24.

    J.

  • Where dit you get that chassis?

  • Car was shipped to me it's a promo model and I used the original chassis. The working setup is designed and build by me.

I agree with people that it hops too fast but this is easilly adjusted by adding small weights.

    J.

  • Wow, cool!

  • i bet it cant go ,but its still cool

  • If you kick it...it will...

    J.

  • :D GOOD ONE

  • hehe this is funny xD

  • when it bounces in slow motion it looks right speed

  • i think that it hops allittle to fast but its ok for scale

  • That plastic Lac is pretty tight! You should see the real 77 Candy Paint Cadi on swithches I got on the driveway!

  • You got a video of it?

    J.

  • Nope no videos! Just pictures! I had a tight ass 79 Jet Black Cadi with a sunroof all original! My homie had the 77 Cadi parked outside his apartment for months all fucked up! So he wanted to trade really bad so I traded my 79 Cadi for the 77 wish I hadn't cuz im having a hard time finding a 79 Cadi!

  • I got the 77 with the candy paint and patterns switches allready on it! But the car didn't run and it was missing all kinds of chrome and little different shit on it! Carb caught on fire fucked up radiator fucked up pumps flat tires and about six layers of dirt on it!

  • By the time I fixed everything on it the 77 was ready for the Lowrider Show! T

  • Then I sold it to the homie and his dumb ass wrecked the back of it and now im fixing that bitch back up!

  • BACK BUMPER BACK BUMPER

  • how do you get one of those cars??? i want one

  • how do u control it?

  • hella funny

  • hahahahahaha cool

  • can it drive

  • So so...Chek out my videos (22) my car, my helicopter, my dog No bounces bud is ok. comment and rate please.

  • I have built model car's in the past ...and this car suck's..the bounce is all wrong..the key to a nice bounce is....led pincels .....all let you figure that out...i'am going to make a car and actually paint it it just looks like you primed it and that was it...

  • how did you get the little low rider knock offs

  • THey are included when you buy the Pegasus wheels.

    J.

  • Sweeeeeeet

  • ben jij bent nederlander he ?

als niet dan heb ik dat voor niks geschreven :-( als wel dan ben ik gelukig voor u dat gij zo'n goei lowrider lover bent geluik als ik hehehe ;-)

  • it bounces to fast!!

    but cool:D

  • can u make it bounce slower? did you put suspension and springs into it? It doesnt look realistic when it bounces.. sorry to say that..

  • It still is a plastic kit...lightweight. A diecast car will do much better but will break down faster. Still if you take the time and balance the cars with fishing weights it can bounce more realistic. No offense taken, your reply makes me want to do better next time.

    J.

  • were did u get that car

  • It's a Jo-han rpomo model, it's not owned by me by the way. you can check out betoscustomdesigns dot com

    he owns the car.

  • man i love your lowriders there so complexed and well planed out i seen your web and its is cool all so i saw you on Scale Auto site two my name on there is latemodelkid so ill see you around mybe comment your post too. great work

  • Thanx man! I have to check Scale Auto forums more often...but then again so much to do...

  • omg dude what type of motors and hydroulic kit do you use for that car because iv been trying to make a car like that for ages im am now 12 and iv been searching on the internet since i was like 10

plz go to my page if you can tell me anything about how to make a hoppin kar like that

  • Hi, the design for this setup was done by Jevries. In the future there will be a How To DVD featuring these advanced setups.

    J.

  • Volume 1 of the How To series will be released before christmas. It explains the basics in creating working lowrider model cars. The RC part will be discussed in volume 2.

    J.

  • You r the man!!!!!

  • HOLY FUCK I WANT ONE.

  • LMAO WTF! im not laughimg cause its dumb im laughin cause i cant believe it

  • nice.

  • Wow, you're such a god of RC cars. Great job.

  • whats up to you have a url for that video i wanted to know if i can put it on my - myspace profile email me

  • put a real live MOUSE in a car then fun

  • MTV, PLEASE RIMP MY RIDE

  • WEHEHEHEE FUNNY!!!!! Yo I want that kinda crap and I would paint it like metaalic pink or metallic green...

  • holy shit

  • song?

  • el chicano

  • Plastic sound ok, no quality?...get outa here and solder me a hydro soundbox.

  • you could always find a metal body model car.. ive seen a few it could add the "realism" that these teens want :P

  • That's true...I def give it a go although the weight of a diecats car can also give problems..stronger motors usually means bigger motors.

  • WAHAHA just listen to the *no-quality-plastic-sound* it makes.. hilarious. any way, nice job!

  • This is so bad @ss,I want one...Awesome job....

  • jevries ur tha man! i checked out ur website 2...great stuff!

  • do you sell these??? or would you??

  • Jevries coming out with a DVD on how to build these cars!

  • not bad

  • niceee the honly hopper i ever made only had front up and down lol but im working on a back +front rc one

    your the best man

  • sikk ass video

  • Awsome setup there , What are you using in the rear ,as it moves very slow. Sounds like a rc servo.

And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make episode 2 on making the hotwheels hop ! , And some more video of hotwheels scale hoppers would be awsome.

Im building my first hopper in the next few days , a 77 monte carlo , Hopefully you could help me if I get stuck.

    Just one more thing ;-)

You have done so much for the lowrider model hobby ! Its much appreciated by all !

  • hehehe watta hydrolic setup! nice one

  • shit man thats the best lowrider you've ever made and looks good too

  • Thanx man! Glad you like it! It's really good fun building these new setups!
