Marleau was hit a little earlier in the game as you may remember that was where some of the facial wear and tear occured.

ya... even tho it wuz a blatant elbow. i'll probably get some thumbs down for saying that.. but common. we went down 3-0, but showed some real effort out there to almost come back to even it 3-3 (Best game of the playoffs!)
seems like players on Canadian teams get away with cheap shots like that vs. the Sharks in the playoffs (Raffi Torres tried to headshot Joe Thronton, but was too short, so he went after Michalek instead).

You HAVE to be kidding. The refs were clearly on San Jose's side. Take game 2 for example, Thornton was grazed by the stick, and he goes down like he was shot. Calgary gets the slashing penalty, and Thornton gets up laughing. San Jose also had many more powerplay chances than the Flames did. Not too sure what games you were watching
