I love this song and her story hits me hard today....We just had an 8 year old little girl grow her wings after battling this disease for a year. My heart and prayers go to all that have lost their battle and is suffering through it at the moment. RIP

DIPG is Diffuse Intrisic Pontine Glioma (a pediatric brain cancer) which when diagnosticed there's no cure. some children can have more months or less but after the diagnocis, they die within months :( the saddest thing is that little Elena understood she was going to die, trough the doctors conversations and her parents talking she was such a smart child but for a 6 year-old to know that was dying and making letters to her family is just unbelieveble, just like Elena was. we miss you lena.
