  • I live in Ouray and have an 83 year old friend who knew Milton and said he was a real character. Milton lived off of Hwy 550 the house on west side of road was his last residence. My friend says any time you visited Milton you had to have a bowl of soup with them.

Milton is long gone but not forgotten. I never got to meet Milton but have had a can of soup at his last house in remembrance.

  • Milton is sooo sweet. And nealkristofer he didn't seem lonely. He still drove and the next town was only 8 miles away. He probably had a bunch of friends in town that came out and visited him. Actually from the pics he was damn lucky. Beauty without being bugged by ppl all around. Quite idyllic and with his great personality I am sure he had alot of friends.

  • Aww, what a lovely man :) So sweet!

  • Based on the opening theme and panel lineup, this "IGAS" segment was actually from July 1, 1963.

  • Hello, and thank you - are you sure about this date? Where are you getting it from? R.

  • Two places: IMDb, and kinescopes-[dot]-com. Also, the "IGAS" logo seen at the opening debuted in the 1962-63 season, and the logo as on the stage was from later in the season. Besides, the Dec. 18, 1961 edition was hosted by the regular moderator, Garry Moore, who was subbed here by Henry Morgan.

  • What a charming and likeable gentleman.

  • Mr. Larson passed away later in the decade, and Ironton officially became a ghost town. I found this segment quite sad; I felt bad for this lonely old guy in a deserted town.
