I can't express how much I love this series... And I can't even BEGIN to express how much I love the music more! M. Night Shyamalan ruined it, the movie was terrible in my opinion. Thank god it didn't ruin the series for me, because this show makes me happy beyond belief. And gives me new motivation.

@RobBocholt I dont think that they're gonna make a book 2. The first one was God awful and Paramount spent 280 million on the thing-which meant the movie had to gross close to 900 million at the box office and that just didnt happen. If they do decide to make a sequel they should just reboot the whole thing and start from scratch with a new director and screenwriter.

This music is the best of the film.

James Newton Howard is a genius and this is one of his best realisation.

The movie is very wonderfull. The move of martial arts are perfect.

Only one thing to say see it and enjoy. Maybe the movie of the year for young people.

@xeroxephyr I don't think you can be a fan of cinema, or any film making at all and say you enjoyed that terrible abomination of a movie. Cinema was forever worsened when The Last Airbender came out. Thank God James Newton Howard at least made the music enjoyable.

@xeroxephyr im a fan of the tv, and liked the movie. Paramount made it 103 mins, and for the time they HAD they did all they culd. The names were changed, they r the same. Its just different prouncings. Like my name being pronouced differently in Asia, but is still the same name. They went back to the orignal asian names for the movie, The Show made the names with an American accent becuz it was made for America.

@brooksboy78 The script sucked, it had no character development whatsoever. The animated series' charm was in its characters, not the magic system. Shyamalan's adaptation didn't show that.

Not to mention the bending sucked. *Spontaneous martial arts movements, THEN the fire moves* *Four guys bending together, one small boulder slowly floats buy*

I'm not mad about changes they made from the animated series to the movie. It was just a bad movie on all counts. Except for the music.

@xeroxephyr and thats YOUR opinion. The script was cheesy, but I didnt really care. I knew the moment Paramount said it was 103 minutes that they wouldnt be able to do it. And for the time Paramount gave them, I thought they captured the most important moments. And for that reason I was able to look past the development issues. I mean its Para. fault for such a short movie becuz it was THEIR descion, not Nights. So if movie 2 gets made, i hope they are able to make it longer.

@brooksboy78I'm not frustrated with the amount of story that was in, I'm frustrated with the quality of the little they had.

My main issue is the way they portrayed the iconic characters. They weren't them. Awng wasn't Aang. Soakka wasn't Sokka. They were very different from the characters in the animated series. Sokka was practically humorless. Aang wasn't a blind optimistic. Iroh wasn't as awesome. Zuko and Katara were somewhat better, but not really.

@xeroxephyr Its still aang and its still sokka. Its just a different way of prnoucing it. The names were originally asian and were going to be called like that it the series, but the creators were afraid little kids wouldnt be able to same them right, so they Americaized the names. Just like the name John is prnounced differently in Mexico and America, but its still John. Its still Aang and Sokka. The names didnt bother me becuz I knew about them for a yr, but it wasnt a smart move.

@xeroxephyr Part 2 - The characters werent completely butchered. Aang wasnt as light hearted, but I got over it. It made sense making him more sad about this people, and the running time didnt really develop his character. Although Sokka was very dull at times, he had his funny moments. You didnt get to see him enough, but thats really due to its very short running time. That is really the one big awful thing that this movie did, and that is the soul reasn so much was undeveloped
