I don't know how to feel about them, because I love the albums, and I think it's a great sound and just great all together on the cd. But i saw them live and they SUCKED. I don't know if it was an off performance, or what the problem was, but whatever the issue was, they did horrible at their tulsa show with DCFC.

I also thought there 1st album was great, I wa actually even disappointed when I heard the second. It's such a unique sound that you want more. I feel like they didn't deliver on the 2nd album

I hate MTV these days I was looking through the nominations for the VMA's and most of the main categories are filled with crap (though the breakthrough video category has some pretty good songs/band including Cool War Kids, Death Cab, Yeah Yeah Yeah's etc)

I love this band so much, because no matter what they keep their own sound. Their first album was lovely, and the new one if great too. This band gives me hope that music isn't going to the dogs just yet.

what's so great about this video is how it makes you sort of uncomfortable. the way cold war kids is always trying to be. very depressing and dark and angry, the way it skips randomly showing flashes of things here and there perfectly suits their music. fantastic.

what I love about this band is the fact that they havent hit mainstream like many other good bands have.. I loved Kings of Leon like I loved Cold War Kids they are on my top 5 favorite bands off all time

and sadly Kings of Leon have hit Mainstream which *I think* Lessens their value.

Im so happy that Cold War Kids haven't hit like KOL has .

Just because a band hits the mainstream doesn't their value is lessened. I know it's nice to feel like a band is all yours when no one else you know likes them. I've been there. But it's when a band completely changes their sound by adapting to what's popular that makes them "sellouts". Rage Against the Machine, Alice in Chains and Tool (to name a few) are bands that would've sounded the same regardless if they got famous or not.

I understand that, I agree with the whole thing, believe me I do .. but a lot of bands *do* become sellouts when they hit mainstream. Their style may change as well, and it's not always for the better. I'm not saying Cold War Kids style would change if they do become mainstream eventually.. it's just a very sad thing when it does happen to great bands. They get played out with the radio, and MTV ... and its always a sad thing to see happen. Many loose the passion once they get the attention.

That's is an ignorant thing to say. You should support a band whether they are mainstream or not. If you like the music, buy the albums and support them. But if the band's sound changes and you begin to dislike the music they create, you can (by all means) stop listening.

I dont think its an ignorant thing to say i dont think ignorant fits in what your saying.I never said I wouldnt support the band I never said I wouldnt buy their albums. On the contrary, I would be more than happy to go and by there cd's (which i do now) and go to their shows ( which i do now) and i will support this band because I love what they do with the music. mainstream ruins bands sometimes and all im saying is it will be very sad if it happened to this band because they are really good

Chris Martin is a decent vocalist, but all they, as a band, do is write extremely simple songs but arrange it in a wierd way. also, the only similarity between the 2 bands is that they both have the word cold in their name...
