I loved this concert! I was there! Carrie rocked! I like it now that she is only playing in small concerts of 3200 I get great seats. I do hate to say you exaggerate there was only another 3,000 to 4,000 people out on the lawn! I have never been to a concert here where it was filled more then 10,000 and I have been to alot of concerts here Vince Gill, The Judds Hall And Oates
@MrCarrieFan I'm glad you were there. I am not exaggerating though. When Ravinia is sold out it holds 20,000 people just on the lawn. That is a fact. She had about 23,000 people in there that night. Glad you had a good time! I love the Ravinia pavillion because it has three less walls and the sound can't bounce around as much.
@carriecrazed Yeah, I know. :-( Look at my recordings of her from 3 years ago. I was 7 rows out, but the only reason that I was able to get that close is that she booked up a SECOND CONCERT the same morning that the first one sold out, and then she sold that one out. I wish she would do that every year. In 2009 that was 46,000 seats (with lawn) in two days! Also, being off to the side, we couldn't see the backup singer, or violinist. :-(
@Davethreshold some critics are bashing Carrie for doing this concert at such small venue. Saying that must mean she can't sellout big arenas which to me is completely ludicirous. Just because she likes playing in arena. I would say that her having soldout tour last year, should have answer that question already.
@carriecrazed I know that is what she said herself about places like this. It bothers her critics, but not her, which I like. As she put it, critics like picking on her for something or the other. What else is new. I think they do that because she doesn't make a headlining stories to their liking. Like right now, she isn't doing touring, so she isn't making any news or anything unusally.
@row759 There are so many GADFLY critics out there! :) At the Ravinia pavilion, there are more than 3,000 seats at $100 a pop. THEN there is the lawn section at about $35 a pop. The lawn holds 20,0000 people! She COMPLETELY sold it out. Some quick math - that one concert grossed $1,000,000. In 2009, (see my older Carrie videos) she totally sold out the 1st concert. 4 hours later, they listed a SECOND concert, and she sold that one out also. That is 46,000 people who came to see her in two days.
@Davethreshold Hey, I told agree with you. I know how fast she can sellout arenas and other venues. I live in Wisconsin, and we have Summerfest in Milwaukee and that holds roughly about 20,000 and she three different shows, I believe two years ago and soldout an hour after they were put for sale. She has no problem selling out arenas any where or anytime.
@row759 Amen.. Carrie can sell out any venue, any time, any year. And since she can sing any genre, any song, any time she IS THE BEST performer and artist in music today (or maybe ever?). Can Miranda or Blake sell out an arena? no......
@row759 I really wanted to go to that too... But Oh well, I also want to go to the one in Tennessee.. But until they have one in Chicago, I can't go.. :(
@carriecrazed Carrie doesn't come close to anywhere I lived in northeast Wisconsin. Wausaukee is one hour and 15 mins north of Green Bay. Closest site is Rhinelander, but as soon as a concert date posted there it is soldout within an hour.
@row759 But I really really really wish there was some way I could get some good seats and perhaps a meet and greet. I don't even care if I doont get the "good" seat. I just want a meet and greet. Lol. And I sound really greedy there. Oh well, What can I say? I'm a huge fan. I really hope I can get good seats next time at Ravinia. I tried doing everything possible to get her attention but she just couldn't see me.. Lol
@carriecrazed I am also a huge fan. But I have two problems, not enough money to get on that official website of Carrie's fan club site. Where those fans automatically get first crack at all her concert tickets. Plus I don't drive, so i would probably have to pay for two tickets, for me and the person who drove me.
@row759 I'm trying to get a membership for christmas bc I don't have a credit card. Lol. And I can't drive. I could just die tomorrow satisfied with my life if I saw her just look into my eyes and smile at me. I wouldn't even care if I got to speak to her. Of course, it would be best to have a conversation with her but... Lol. I could die tomorrow if I met her.... I WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO GET TICKETS AND MEET AND GREETS WITHOUT PAYING SO MUCH. If it's meant to be, we'll get it.someday
@carriecrazed I know that a membership is expensive or I get one, too. But, that is easy way to make sure you get tickets. And a lot of people are just waiting for Carrie to announced that she is done with her album and then when her next concert dates. I have her album might be done right before Christmas. No, I haven't heard or read anything. It is just an educated guess.
@row759 Well she did an interview before she got married and she said she was hoping to have it done by November this year, but then, with all the preperation for the awards shows, I don't know if she'll be able to. lol. And I am so anxious to see what she's got. I know they will be great! And concerts near me, please? Lol
@carriecrazed well, if you heard at the IHeart Radio concert she did recently, she said she was about half-way done with her next album. She is taking more time with this one. So I am expecting to be around Christmas or early 2012. And usually concert follow the released of album. Usually close to me is Milwaukee, which is still 3hrs at least. I don't know exactly where you are.
@row759 I'm about two hours south of chicago. It takes somewhere around 6 hours to get to my relatives up in Lasalle Wiscon.. I did hear that she was only around halfway done, and I'm glad she's taking her time' but I am just sooo anxious, Lol
@carriecrazed I am just as anxious and that usually means her album will sell real fast. I knowing what she will say is that she will be worried it won't sell. Carrie has nothing too worried about it will sell.

Wish I could have gone. I had to work. This is an hour away from my house. The shortest distance, out of my three travels, to see Carrie live.

@row759 So, she likes to connect more with a small audience, and then rock out the big stage.. There is nothing wrong with that... :(

@carriecrazed didn't say you have to be. It shows how good Carrie is. That her concerts sell out that fast. Nobody would be able to do that.
