I don't like this way of seeing ecology: We are certainly destroying our environment and we have to reverse the process urgently if we want to keep living on an interresting and beautiful planet. BUT, we never asked to be there, we never asked to be the first animals able to adapt everywhere and to reduce hunger or suffering. However humanity will exterminate itself by overpopulation. Ecological collapse will be inevitable if the population continues to grow, and we all know it will.

Well, of course we'll go extinct eventually, just like all other species will go exticnt eventually, just like this solar system will eventually become engulfed by the sun and just like the entire universe will eventually run out of energy needed to expand itself, collapse, and cease to exist.
