I didn't see anything I could pick out as sea food. That's good for me. I'm allergic to seafood! The soba looked awesome! There were some pretty good looking dishes in this vid. I can't eat with chopsticks. :( Asians can take things that are bland or considered less desirable cuts and make them into something wonderful!

ahh hot pot! love it. I had hot pot in Chendu China. Take your shitty raw mutton and cook for thirty seconds in a hellishly hot spiced boiling vat of oil in the middle of the table, dip in sesame oil then msg... food for the gods! i doubt id enjoy the food in japan though as i hate seafood.

Learn as much Japanese as you possibly can. Any hiragana/katakana you can read, plus simple verbs like "where is" "how much" "do you have" are invaluable!
