أصدرت اللجنة الدائمة للبحوث العلمية والإفتاء فتوى حول عمل شركات التسويق الهرمي أو التسويق الشبكي وذلك برقم 22935 وتاريخ 14/3/1425هـ إثر ورود أسئلة كثيرة عن هذا الموضوع. حيث أوضحت اللجنة أن هذا النوع من المعاملات محرم لتضمنه الربا بنوعيه، ولكونه من الغرر المحرم شرعا، واشتماله على أكل الشركات أموال الناس بالباطل، فضلا عن احتوائه للغش والتدليس والتلبيس.
