I was correct in saying that it was a parody in other words because, while it was reference, was a humorous one. Allusions tend to be smaller references such as, in the show iCarly, Carly's grandfather says he is staying at the Parker-Nicholes hotel. Parker and Nicholes were the last names of her fictional brothers on Drake & Josh. So yes, depending on how you look at it, it can be either a parody or an allusion.
