just got back from this hotel, was my first trip to mexico and first all inclusive.amazing hotel, beach is stunning, too bad im back in newcastle now...would definitly go there again.

We're going on a honeymoon to this hotel, and it'll be our first time in Mexico, any tips on what not to miss while we're there? Is the food good?

Hi--Well we went to Cancun this past January-it was our first time and stayed at the mayan palace which was great. We went to a presentation at Sandos and it was a rainy day--the roof was leaking in the lobby something fierce. They also gate off portions of their beach--seems like an "elite" thing which I didnt like. The rooms at sandos were nice though. My choice would always be the Mayan Palace though.

The "presentation" .. was that where they talked with you about your holiday preferences .. and it was all effectively a sales presentation as opposed to and information one? If so, then it was similar to ours (me and my wife's) .. I hate Sandos for wasting over 3 hr.s of our first morning there .. and what with our jet lag, a waste of our first day really.

I urge everyone who goes there to remember .. you don't *have* to listen to their crap. Just say no and enjoy your holiday.

Had my honeymoon in this hotel...I totally loved it. Go now! Our trip is getting more and more expensive already a grand more since last March.
