We know the Bible was written by multiple authors with no evidence for any of the accounts. Indeed, many of the gospels were "written" as second-hand accounts by people far away in either time and/or space from any of these so-called events. But let me turn you to the work of the Latin author Lucretius - whose work is based on reason alone. In his work, you'll see that the work 'religio' means superstition. It comes from the words 'ligo, ligare' = to bind. Free yourself from these 'religious'.

@cambola4 May I recommend a book to you? It's by Lee Strobel called The Case For Christ... it deals a lot with the Canonical Gospels and their authors, dating and the evidence for them, as well as other hot issues like Jesus' resurrection, the empty tomb etc... it's fascinating reading and it turns out the evidence is staggering :) just a thought :)

Well done guys at Kingsagate! Great to see the new things God is doing in our nation get air-time in this way - made me very proud (in a right way of course!!!) to be a Christian. And the Chris Moyles comments only adds to the sense that God is definitely getting some good press in this!!!
