  • Tight vocals. . . ."haters" need to stop "hatin'." Great tune, sang by a great vocal ensemble!

  • this is magical.

  • We, Committed, all got teary eyed up in our box during this performance! This was probably one of my top 3 performances from the entire show. So beautiful. Love and miss the Backbeats!

  • I wish it were longer i want to keep listening. I looked up the song to see the longer version ,but its not as good as this!!!!

  • Holy f*ck how long is this commercial?

  • Chills. Every time.

  • Better than the original version. Honest to God.

  • @eliysha94 I agree. And especially true with Firework, too.

  • The first time I heard this on the live airing of the show, I cried. :).

  • amazing!!

  • I love this song in general, but this group sung it with so much emotion, it brought tears to my eyes.

To call this amazing would be an understatement.

  • the main singer is sexy as hell!

  • @LakesideUso You think that's something? I went to high school with her! And she was known a lot more than for her looks or even her talent. She is a bright person with a kind heart, and it is awesome to see someone from our tiny town becoming a star.

And yes, she is REALLY freaking gorgeous!

  • Can't stop listening to this );

  • there harmonies craxii

  • Number One...

  • SHOULD HAVE WON THE SEASON>>>>ugh

  • this is different than the original and the original was good in its own right but this is very powerful

  • so emotional.. i can feel it..

  • I love when they play the air instruments they're singing...

  • Oh. Chills.

  • This is the best performance the show has had thus far.

  • @Gookin52 no way, Stevie Nicks has one of the best voices ever and ther is no way this beats the original.

  • I watched this show when it originally aired and have come back to watch the video several times. In my opinion this is the best delivery of the song I have ever heard, and it is simply beautiful! Theses kids really have something to be proud of!

  • I just love Talent!!!!!

  • hey mike, i'm sorry for you. obviously you can't appreciate good acappella tunes like the rest of us. if you don't like 'em, don't listen to 'em. you're obviously a "wannabe" that never made it. being bitter sux, doesn't it? sorry for you bro.

  • @joemama9876 hey retard, where did u get the impression that i don't appreciate this song? really. if u weren't an idiot with your head up your ass, u might have noticed my first comment where i said i got "goosebumps". yes i liked it so much i got goosebumps. go fuck yourself faggot. after u do that come pick your mom up, i'm done fucking her in the ass.

  • I've heard the original and about 5 different covers and this leaves them all in the dust(Iand I rarely think that a cover is better than the original, but this one is by a wide margin)

  • This group is blessed with the touch of all the angels in Heaven

  • Ok, that cello part at 0:36 is freaking magical.

  • 28 people need to be caught in a landslide

  • goosebumps. the only way it could be better is if they did the guitar solo too and stevie nicks was the lead singer

  • @mikesaechao1 Having heard Stevie sing this song, there is absolutely no way having her there would have done anything other make make the song worse.

  • @AIReject you're a fucking idiot. u know why stevie nicks is famous? cuz she can sing and her voice is original. all the singers from this show can sing but they are alll GENERIC!!! they don't have anything special individually to give the world. anyone of them could have sung the lead, ANYONE, because they're good and they sound the same. "having heard stevie sing this song." motherfucker THIS IS STEVIE's SONG!! go fuck yourself.

  • @mikesaechao1 I know this is a song originally done by Stevie, but having heard her sing it, her version is not as good as this version, and may as well have been a cover. Sorry. Mick Jagger also was unique and had individuality, but that doesn't mean he was a great singer, or that his versions of songs were better than other people's (which they weren't). This version was better than the original, and having the original artist sing it would not help it, but hurt it. Tough cookies.

  • @AIReject to each their own i guess. i enjoy stevies voice. the group probably does have better singing voices than her but....i like stevies voice. and that's really what it's all about. what u enjoy. u can enjoy the sound of nails on a chalk board if it please u. to say it's better or worse is pointless. truly, i did enjoy this version, as u can see in my first comment i got "goosebumps". i think their voices individually are generic but together as a group they are awesome.

  • @AIReject btw, u replied in a civil manner after i called u a fucking idiot, and to go fuck yourself. i can respect that.

  • Turned this all the way up. AMAZING cover.

  • Is that arrangement published anywhere?

  • I think they finished where they should have, but no-one matched this beautiful moment of magic. Well done, team!

  • Courtney is a great beatboxer, but good God, she can never hold it together.

  • I Loved them. I wish they would of won.

  • A nice version, but I will forever love the Smashing Pumpkins version. <3

  • @Gmanic55 ...The song wasn't chosen by the groups that night. They were chosen by the judges. Also, this particular group had done songs that were foot tapping and hand clapping, and this song was picked by the judges to show this group's strong suit.

  • I spent a lot of time waiting for the song to actually start...then it was over. Very vocally talented, but this is not the kind of song you want to sing to WIN a competition. Sadly more votes are won by a group that can make you clap your hands and tap your feet than a group that can sing beautiful arrangements such as this.

  • regarding why glee and sing-off have a lot of overlap, popularity of the songs is probably a major aspect; it's also possibly because there are certain songs that lend themselves to be better acappella choices than others. Certain songs have the harmonies, beatboxing, and nice-sounding simplicity that make them good options for acappella-type music

  • Toooo much make-up on the lead singer

  • @mabelle502 your right, she looks like she put on clown make up and forgot the red nose

  • why is justin bieber always cryin while beatboxing

  • I will never understand people behaving the way they do during a concert. At 1:15 they hear something beautiful and impressive starting, so they whistle and yell, which makes it impossible to hear what they're yelling and whistling for. It's like getting to the most beautiful part of a movie and then showing appreciation by closing one's eyes.

  • Is anyone else bothered by how many songs have been on both THE SING OFF and GLEE?

I mean, there are literally millions of songs. Why would their repertoires overlap so much? Are they deliberately trying to copy each other?

  • @RCHairbrush Glee is a scripted television show while The Sing Off is a competition where the acoustic groups sing songs, mainly of their choice only, not the choice of judges nor Fox in general.

  • @Haeinscute

Which makes the several coincidences even more odd. It really does seem as if a song appears on one show, only to be on the other show soon thereafter. Not every song, of course, but enough of them that it seems odd to me.

  • @RCHairbrush That is true, I figure its either coincidence or both the singers of Sing Off and the writers of Glee figure people would rather see "popular" music that their audience know and can sing to so it ends up sharing many of the same songs.

  • can anyone tell me the title of the song? pls? thank you

  • @TheJaimeeann Landslide :)

  • @TheJaimeeann Landslide by Fleetwood Mac

  • @tompaman Thank you! :)

  • @TheJaimeeann ...... Its in the title of the video. Landslide

  • I really thought they were going to win after this performance.

  • Great song, but they slowed down the tempo a little too much.

  • 23 people listen to Lil Wayne

  • One jerk made 23 different accounts to dislike this video :o)

  • @hogly3243: and now he's made nine more. What a dick!

  • @nighthawk006phoenix Seriously! They should get over the fact that The Backbeats are the world's greatest acapella group! I love them!!

  • @hogly3243 Make that 32 different accounts ♥♥

  • @hogly3243 33

  • From 1:10 to 1:20 I was getting goosebumps then the collective sound at 1:21 was disappointing

  • WOW, this is the best version I have ever heard, Stevie Nicks should be smiling. Just a piece of ART! Dude with Violin had it going on! The lead singer is not only beautiful and sexy but nailed Stevie Nicks on a great day! The Harmony is absolutely one of the best I have ever heard in any song! I give it a 10 across the board!

  • I just listened to Javier from The Voice sing this with Stevie Nicks, and it made me sad. Not because they were beautiful, but because I kept comparing it to this version and I came to the conclusion that the guy who won The Voice can't sing half as good as anyone in The Backbeats.

  • Why was Courtney crying? This group is amazing!!!! It had real emotion to it. I just wanted to know if there was a reason for her crying or if it was the song. It brought me to tears so I don't blame her. :)

  • Does the bass hit a low B at 1:32 ? That's, like, abnormally low. It's incredible!

  • @pianoman47 omg their bass is amazing in this song. I was really surprised. Same with Committed. Their Bassist goes strong crazy low in the al green song they perform. Amazing talent.

  • Atheists, your argument is now invalid

  • 0:00 Can't stop doing this XS

  • wow, my heart stopped for 2:13 minutes,, It's that amazing!

  • Why was she crying at the end?

  • I love Joanna so much now, I would helped to make her a billionare.....

  • Hope they do not leave it to America to pick the winner this coming year. Crap like them not winning is what happens when it is left to "Voting".

  • Yah, what a great and talented group

  • watching this again after several months. still get goosebumps.

  • Probably my favorite song from the show. I wish that all of the groups would have done slower songs. Slower songs seem to give the musicians a much better opportunity to showcase their talent.

  • ive listen to this song at least twenty time just now. and still counting. She has the best voice ive heard in acouple secounds. here we go again

  • I think I'd turn straight for Joanna if she asked me to.

  • Why cant they make the studio version just like this? They always mess with the arrangement. This is way better than the studio recording.

  • I am so psyched that this got picked up for a FULL season this year!!

  • Every group in this season was better than anyone in season 1. I hope season 3 ups the ante even further

  • NO way beelzebubs season 1 or the people who won i forget their name but were a lot better..

  • 23 people are landslide Victims!!!!

  • this version is soooo much better than the original!! OMG!!!

  • I fall in love with Miss Jones everytime I hear her sing. (sigh)

  • I love this version so much more than the original.

  • I cant help but over flow when I feel this woman reach into my heart. Then the rest of them simply help her to wash over you with this cleansing and painful stream of warmth that you simply cannot forget ever.

  • I listen to Lil' Wayne and i still love this!

  • The voice cello. Oh my god

  • This is the best performance of the Sing-Off... EVER. It still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it or watch it.

  • I think street corner should have won the competition but this was definitely the best single performance on "the Sing Off" ....... PS. The Sing Off beats American Idol in every aspect except for "star" power

  • They should have won this show hands down. The lead singer on this song is one of the best singers I have ever seen. She can sing rings around the singers on American Idol and those type of shows. This was the best performance in the history of "The Sing Off".

  • the nicest thing about the back beats, is that they get emotionally involved in their music.

  • Only 7 months to go until The Sing Off on NBC. I'm curious how all the past contestants are doing. I'd love to hear some new recordings.

  • its cool how the colors they wear always for some reason match there song

  • What are they being all sad about lol. Good continuation of the atmosphere I guess.

  • I got chills :)

  • amazing!!!! <3

  • This is perfect.. .. perfect.. the colors lighting expressions.. timeless

Joana .... i hope she makes it big .. she is such a peformer.. but looking at her soul here, I can tell she will be an incredible asset to the world whether a school principal , a nurse or doctor, or a neighborhood pta mom ....

Actually all of the kids look like real givers and real doers... I cry everytime I see the song.. and the little trepidation they must feel approaching graduation

  • You are looking at one of the most gifted singers of the next era.

Mark it down. This woman will be at the top of all vocal performers for the next decade. Stunning and vulnerable....and that is her voice. But of course also very pretty. I was grateful to have seen her and the whole group on this show.

  • My favorite I love them all they need to continue!

  • i cant stop watching this video i love it better than the original song

  • wow. Just wow.

  • Love it

  • they sound like a piano!!:o

  • It seems like you can just reach out and touch thier raw emotion. I believe that this show has Brought us some of the best talent on t.v. today. Real stars

  • @roosterilu I feel the same way.. i have all the show's episodes on my Tivo and have watched every song by most of the groups 50 times... I feell like all of the peformers are personal friends.. you really get a look into their souls and the good side of humanity, friendship, art etc... all of the final groups plus a few others.

  • 1:43 that's the most beautiful "too" i've ever heard.

  • Gives me chills every time they start harmonizing for the chorus. Love it!

  • The beatboxer looks like Justin Bieber

  • Her range is AMAZING!

  • absolutely beautiful!!! love this show!!!!!

  • Beautiful, love the cello solo and the lead singer is just awesome - great technique!

  • This is my favorite version. It beats fleetwood mac's in my opinion

  • i don't like this version very much, I prefer fleetwood mac's. just my opinion.

  • 2gazillion times better than Glee or any other version of this song. This is the best song, best a capella group, best a capella cover, best best best, in the world. This should be in the guiness, however you spell it.

  • @jakegates1092

they are not the best. they're good, but they are NOT the best

  • @jakegates1092 You would have to be three guinness stout to the wind to chatter so over a reasonably decent version, but it's no Stevie Nicks. (Better then Glee or Dixie Chicks though...)

  • This little box keeps popping up checking to make sure I am a person with bent letters in it, and underneath, it says 'can't read?' which I guess offers you some other option, but heck, if I couldn't read, how would I know what that link said???

  • @jakegates1092 Second best. Whoever these guys are, they're pretty good, but the got nothin' on Stevie.

  • Hey guys, you don't need to knock down another artist's cover when praising this one. This version is truly beautiful, and there are other great covers of it as well.

  • I dunno, I don't think there's quite the same emotion in this that there is in other covers. But that's simply an opinion. Which is weird, because I usualy love anything acapella/.

  • GOD I wish Glee could do something that is even half as beautiful as this.

  • Go Kenton and the backbeats! I can't help but listen to this song over and over. I love this version so much.

  • this is 200x better than gwyneth paltrows version on glee. this is the best version, in my opinion. :))

  • This still gives me chills months later.

  • made me almost cry man for real got some talent rite here

  • gives me goosebumps every single time. it's absolutely dumbfounding that voices and voices alone can have such an impact.

  • @accusedereception isn't it though? I'm fascinated by that.

  • How the hell do 15 people dislike this. This was honestly amazing, friggen deaf people.

  • CJ-3

  • 14 people are def.

  • Best performance of the season...

  • this is a lovely, skilful, very difficult but extremely effective arrangement, given a sincere, precise, understated yet totally committed performance. Much respect to all the singers and an extra gold star to Todd; it goes without saying that he made a terrific contribution on bass to all the Backbeats performances on SingOff, but for me he totally smashed it in 'Landslide'. His pitch accuracy here is sublime.

  • How didn't they win? not to be like mean to committed they are talented but SERIOUSLY! they are amazing and they should of won, just my opinion :)

  • Since buying this on iTunes in December it is already the #1 listened to song on my iPod that I've had since 2007. This is a brilliant, masterful example of everything a cappella, and music in general, should be. The arrangement is intricate, yet seamlessly simple, and they all deliver vocally and emotionally, especially Joanna who sings it like she wrote it, yet doesn't "push" in the least. They all have brilliant control, restraint, and listening. Just breathtaking and exemplary music!

  • There are no words to describe how moving this song is!

I too have never commented on any youtube videos before!

I just had to sigh up to leave one for The BackBeats!

Please tell me you guys will continue displaying your talents for the world to enjoy.

I'm in LOVE with Joanna Jones!!!!!!

  • search for Charice w/backbeats "Note to God"---> you're gonna be blown away! =)

  • i love the way she sing it, deep-toned... very emotional song!

  • Tha 13 ppl who disliked this are anti-everything turds.... This performance moves yur soul..... Music is mi lyfe and this performance shows me they're more ppl who take it seriously as me.....

  • Amazing

  • Chills!

  • There is nothing that can beat real music... Refreshing to hear a song being sang without any electronic manipulation... Your group can help kill the auto-tune beast that's killing music.

  • Is this... Real life? Holy cow that was amazing...

  • The build-up from 1:10 to 1:16 was so perfectly done I could literally feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand on its ends.

  • You're beautiful, Joanna.

  • i was very moved by this performance....as if angels were flying all around...its amazing of how you see the talents God created...and for you guys to share them with the world .....its healing for the soul.

  • Kenton's cello... amazing

  • @acapellacious, I hate that you have almost verbatim taken the words right out of my mouth. I love all the groups you named and am actually related to the kibbles in Take 6 and still feel like this was one of the craziest accapella performances I've heard, you know your stuff. By the way i'm 37 too, lol.

  • I wonder how good this would be if they were all way ugly.

  • @WoodenLute It would be exactly the same because I would think most people listen to music with their ears, not their eyes.

  • @MusicSweetly I brought that up because I thought the lead was pretty and was wondering if that affected my judgment. This performance is breathtaking.

  • 12 people don't have souls.

  • @MissCopter do you have sole?

  • @pammyowens Hahaha, yes. This song is just seriously so beautiful and done so well. :D

  • Love the arpeggios done...sounds like a caliope. Amazing purity of sound. I agree with Ben and all the other comments - the arrangements are out of this world. I've bought all the Backbeats MP3s I can find on Amazon and I'm waiting for a tour! Just when I thought I'd heard or seen everything under the sun worthwhile - the Backbeats step up.

  • This was breath taking performance. A song to be sung in heaven. They are awesome, the best group. That group the Leader you will go higher and higher with songs and performances like this. i love you all

  • This was breath taking performance. A song to be sung in heaven. They are awesome, the best group.

  • Better than the original. Loved it
