It's not that they are puzzling people, it's just that they have anoying fans who have never heard of Metallica, Iron Maiden etc and think that DragonForce are "the best band in the world". I'm not hating, but DragonForce are just over-rated.

Maybe after their tenth album more people will agree. Metallica only put out 4 1/2 great albums before it went sour. Maiden continues to crank solid heavy metal, but Dragonforce is one with which to be reckoned.

Yes, it's difficult to reproduce live, but the drinking, jumping and falling over onstage, and weird out-of-tune pitch bends, do not help matters.
I like Dragonforce, but you have to be crazy to see them live and expect coherent music to spew forth.

Cliff was a god. he was the best bassist ever. Steve Harris is really good, and Geezer is really good too but then they also play a genre totally different from these guys. I'm pretty sure there's a difference between Metal and shit.

Also, "Technically Adept" only really applies to the studio. Dragonforce only kicks ass if you haven't graduated to true power metal or progressive metal.
They are killing themselves, and "Heroes of our Time" is no exception. It's a compilation of there old stuff in one song. Brilliant.... ya.....
