This was my favorite show ever. Brilliant cast. I loved Angelique in those tight corsets. I'm a fan of both the original and the revival. Can't wait to see Johnny Depp as Barnabas. Hope they get a hot Angelique, because as evil as she was, she was my favorite.

Johnny Depp is a fabulously diverse actor. Given the amount of love he has for the character, I'm sure he'll put his all into the role. :) I can't WAIT to see it in the theatres!!! Can you imagine the sudden whirlwind of interest this is going to stir up for our fandom? <3

Absolutely. She happens to be my favorite Angelique. Then again, the revival WAS my first Dark Shadows.

The french accent most certainly added an air of authenticity. She played the part pretty convincingly.

With all due respect to Anthony Hopkins (and I have MOUNTAINS of respect for him), he would be utterly miscast as Barnabas.

Barnabas was a sex symbol (lol) and someone so deliciously evil you just had to love him - much like depp was in POTC.

Depp would totally sink his teeth into the role of Barnabas (no pun intended).

My parents forbid me to watch it because it scared me, though I did get a board game, the Barnabas Collins build-a-skeleton game one Christmas & bought a few DS comic books, one where Dr. Julia Hoffman injected Quentin (as a werewolf) with Barnabas' serum as he attacked her. It turned Quentin into a vampire. Later, Barnabas confronted Quentin & injected him with a serum to turn him back. In the end, Barnabas got into his coffin and said, "Hope for Quentin & somewhere hope for me."

I didn't like the way angelique died cause angelique would have never voluntarly try to kill barnabas, now she thought she wanted to before but than she decided she couldn't kill him so thats why angelique put a spell on josette and jeremiah, so she could have barnabas, it was barnabas who try to kill angelique not the other way around

I read the book. She was still the spawn of Satan. She was Evil. Why did she hate Josette and Victoria Winters so much. They did nothing to her. anyway who cares she came back from the dead like everyone else on DS did.

Actually her final death was to save Barnabas and there was no coming back from it. She died releasing him and truly learning how to love. After that episode everything else was in an alternate reality where Barnabas had never become a vampire. Her hatred was based on jealousy. I won't deny she did evil things but in the very end of the show she redeemed herself, died, and did not come back.

apparently you don't understand. you need to listen to the audio book called Angelique's Descent. plus Barnabas rejected her for josette and so the hatred was building and as for Vicky. vicky represents everything that angelique could have been. go watch the original and study angelique and barnabas.

"They did nothing to her". I think the word "possessiveness" sums it up. Angelique was insanely in love with Barnabas and, therefore, anyone who got near him was her enemy. Josette and Victoria just happened to get caught in the crossfire.
