You know the issue you bring up, healthcare - in 1993, liberals were proposing the same thing as they are now. Miraculously, voters responded with Republicans picking up 54 seats in the House. There are ways to reform healthcare and lower costs, but half of the 40M people don't even want health insurance. The new bill forces which is a defiance to liberty. The Republicans put forth a plan last Saturday and it was voted down. Have the Dems meet us on it, and you'll see "progress."

My point about '94 was that the republicans did not deliver on healthcare even after they were given a majority. They didn't have to worry about being voted down because they clearly had the chance to push through what they felt was right for America. The economy was in good shape. They did NOTHING.

@bundlesjr It was the Republican alternative and I know everything about what's going on now. The Stupak Amendment restricts abortion procedures with taxpayer subsidies. Left-wingers in the House voted for it like Maxine Waters of CA just so they could get the entire HR3962 to pass and still it only passed by 3 deciding votes. Now they are persuading the Senate to remove the language. If what Dems are doing can be defined as "fix it", I'd hate to see what your definiton of "destroy it" is.

Actually the only parts of the system that are broken are the liberal/democratic imposed ones. The rest of it works just fine.

Tort reform, illegal immigration, un-funded mandates, Cross state prohibition, small business taxation, AND MEDICARE are not addressed in the democrats' new bill.

This is whats killing this system NOT the design of it.
