  • hello Maha, thank you for the videos.. I just wanted to know if you could teach in lebanese arabic? I see most of your videos are in formal arabic.. I would like to learn more modern lebanese, my boyfriend is teaching me as well, but would love to hear something from you as well :) thanks!

  • I love the way arabic sounds!! Plus the teacher is really cute! :D

  • @Chillnsmile

She could be from Italy. Just because she's Arab, doesn't mean she lives in the Middle East. I'm Armenian and I have family that lives in France. They're Armenian, but from France.

    So just FYI....

  • I think I could study just about anything, as long as Maha is teaching it :)

  • ur from italy?

  • @Vanessa120897 are u serious??

  • you are so good.....we already learnt how to speak a few sentences in arabic...

u make it look and sound so simple and easy to learn lol

  • ismee Michael :)

  • u r not a good example off muslims woman>>>>a muslims must follow islam guides not acting like other people like western>>> invite other people to islam instead off talking in front off the cam without ur hijab>>>>hurry up

  • @ra7al2002 Dude, she's not Muslim. She's a Christian.

FYI, a hijab is not the only thing that judges a woman's character. Teaching is one of the most valued professions in Islam, because Islam strongly insists on acquiring knowledge to get closer to God and recongize His Greatness.

  • @rb567 ok number on you are not muslim , or number two you reject hadith and are munafiq, or three you are ignorant in which you should hesitate from speaking until you have learned the basics of the deen of allah. in sahih hadith the prophet saws said that the prayer of a woman is not accepted until she wears hijab. k? good.

  • @ra7al2002

Keep your religious views to yourself instead of harassing others with your uninvited and off-topic remarks. You should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @ra7al2002 u must keep ur religious opinion just for u. The world its not only for muslims, u must respect ideology of others. Ur comment means u r that kind of muslim is intolerant, disrespectful and close minded. Thanks God not all r like u. Anyway this is not for speaking about religion and im sure Maha respectable and nice person

  • Very Nice Maha. You make learning arabic a pleasure. keep smiling

  • A beautiful sounding language from a beautiful looking girl .

  • Is this Saudi Arabic or what?

  • @Larry2me There's no such thing as "Saudi Arabic" typically, there's Hejazi Arabic, Makkan Arabic, Medinan Arabic, Sudanese Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, Syrian Arabic, Palestinian Arabic, Yemeni Arabic, etc.....

  • @tahbit iraqi arabic not to forget :)

  • @tahbit And what is Fus-ha Arabic ? Which country is this spoken in ?

  • @irfand4 'Fus-ha' Arabic is the original (let's say) "Accent" which is the language of the Qura'an. Unfortunately nobody speaks that.. However, all accents of the Arabic language use basic words from 'Fus-ha' which is again the original source for all Arabic accents mostly. Arabs in the past, 1400 years ago, all of them definitely spoke 'Fus-ha' Arabic!

  • Something is wrong with immigration...

There was zillions of semi-manish unibrow wonders in my school. And not a single girl like that. Actually, I don't think I ever saw one on the street...

    So what went wrong?

But I have an idea: let the muslim woman in, keep the guys out.

And before some retard tells me about discrimination: I'm heterosexual = I do discriminate based on genders.

  • @Meurglys33 it is a mono brow and i am full english and have one! :p

  • are you part italian? and how do you say England in arabic, Im trying to learn because i sit next to an egytian boy in maths and my friend and I always ask him to teach us, but now when i go to school I can suprise him with my arabic knowledge :)

  • I am sure you hear this all the time but one more time wont hurt :). You are a very talented teacher.

  • is this egyptian arabic?

  • @MochaC89 HELL no. Egyptian Arabic is VERY much like slang... This is proper Arabic. You would find this in Saudi or Palestine...

  • @TheRingLeaderMan123 I wouldn't label Egyptian Arabic "slang" though it is, at times, simpler than formal Arabic.

  • very nice, very good, from a beautiful teacher!

  • very precise, yet good. your previous lessons were very helpful.

  • an min Brazil Maha!!!!

    :D

  • ana min tataa:P

  • :-) .. grazie Maha! Anaa Min Italia

  • Have you studied history of Arabic dialects? Is 'wayn' from another language or is it just derivitive of 'ayn' . Now that read it it is makes sense it is just a way to say 'ayn'. Also If I were in, I dunno Jeddah or some part of Hijaz would they know 'wayn'?

  • @Sabei0990

wayn is just like ayn. In Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan they use Ayn. in Iraq we use wayn

  • @Maytham94 I've been to Jordan, they use wayn, not ayn

  • @Maytham94 then iraq really needs these lessons.

  • @Maytham94 In Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, and Jordan they use wayn not ayn.

  • I´m so glad I found your channel!! Anaa Min Spain..How do you say Spain in Arabic?I know that in Hebrew is Sefarat or something like that =)

  • @MITHWORLD1 spain in arabic = ESPANIA

  • @majedsy1 thanks ;)

  • ciao maha, queste brevi lezioni sono molto utili, ma potresti anche spiegare il significato delle singole parole che compongono la frase? grazie!

  • Anaa min Poland:))

  • @Malea25

    Poland = Bolanda ;)

  • Shokran Maha!

  • thank you maha...

  • ana min kanada!!! ahaha these little lessons are cute!

  • gorgeous

  • Hi Maha. I have a couple of questions; I know that there always many ways to say things however I have heard two very different ways of saying a few words. For example; in one course to say ´but´ is buss...and in another course but is lanken (I believe from Syria). And to say ´with´ I have heard ´maa´ and also ´oouu.´ Could you clarify for me please?? Thanks so much!

    -Papa

  • so cute !!

  • (I can't reply so I'll just make another comment)

-Saying what each word means would be great so we can understand what it really means and how it's formed. (For example in portuguese it's "I have 5 years." and in english "It's I am 5 years old". It's a different way of thinking.)

-In this one its kinda obvious but saying that anta/anti is an inflection due to gender and stuff like that is nice also.

Anyway thank you Maha for your great videos. (=

  • I really like you doing shorter lessons, 10 minutes is way to much for me, but this is kinda short.

This is my opinion just in case you think it may help you makign better videos:

-Ideally a video should around 3:30 minutes.

-Speaking arabic and give the english translation is a good way to get used to the sound of it and for advanced students to hear/understand spoken arabic.(which you did do in this video)

(continues on the reply, sorry :P)

  • Thanks Maha!

I was wondering - could one of these videos be about like ten small survival words that everyone should know? For instance "yes", "no", "help", "thank you"... You know, things that could be really helpful for people if they are, for instance, going on a vacation to a country where Arabic is spoken, and just need a few crucial survival-words? That would be wonderful!

  • This is good, thank you Maha. Shou kran. Anaa min France wa USA.

  • <3 Maha

  • Thankyou Maha.

  • can u sing =)

  • *Yeah* i really needed this ;) you are the best Maha :)
