oh come on ppl, this song fits axl rose perfectly, the quintessential SOB rock vocalist. lest you forget nazareth got famous w/ a cover of everly brothers' 'love hurts' [they didn't write it either, but they did the orig. and imo best version]. gnr should've further exploited axl's innate punkass attitude instead of going all mainstream gloss and breaking up, but anyway..

Welll..... I like the way Guns and Roses did "Knocking on heaven door". I tried to keep the faith ...but unfortunately, I did nort like the Nazareth "hair of the dog by guns n roses ... i axle f. really can rethink rearranging the song and making it his would work for him... But I do love Axle Foley!!! He Rocks!!!

this is a cover song of Nazareth's version, this version is more AC/DC, Nazareth's version was more Zeppelin, but GNR did a great job with it

Ummm...Nazareths version isn't Zepplin. Both bands came out in 1968. Naz in December and Led in Oct. If any big name rock band does a cover it is most likely because Nazareth was the reason they started. So there is no zepplin version of a nazareth song or any version for that matter because Nazareth was one of the first big name rock bands to start. (Which started AC/DC, GNR, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden)

Acually Judas Priest came out around the same time but came out as a light rock band, it was only until the late 70's when they came upon the heavy thrash metal sound.
