the reason for how weak the robot masters are is because this is easy mode, and those blocks are safety blocks, easy mode provides them, masters are stunner per hit, and attack less

I can't really give this video a low rating since this is a playthrough and not a game review. The game--- Mega Man is pretty much ruined and made it too... kiddy to the liking of a veteran gamer. I do have to give the OP props for playing through such an awful version of an NES classic.

The chibi thing, I can get used to, Mega Man had pretty bad graphics starting off and was still fun, the story seems a bit interesting to, but the voices for this literally sound like they didn't even put the slightest trace of effort into it. Almost as if the voice acting was for charity rather than being paid!

Everybody is saying so real gay things about this game. For one, the guy playing is playing on normal, where the levels are changed for younger players. Hard mode is more like the original, where the Robot Masters don't get knocked back. And Oilman and Timeman are nice additions because every Megaman game after this has 8 robot masters. :P

WOW, they really dumbed down the difficulty of these levels. Ice Man's stage was no where near that easy in the 1989 verion. The disappearing ice block sections were much harder, as was the huge pit with the footholders. I guess they decided to make it so 6 year olds could beat the game. Then again I was six when playing the first one and I still enjoyed the hell out of it.

This is how they wanted to do the Mega Man Classic series in the first place, kiddish(Heck you seen how big Mega's head is in the classic series?). Notice how bright and vibrant the colors were for the Classic series compared to the X and also notice, the Classic series aren't heavily based on the story, but the X series is. It was all done to really get a kids attention where as the X series was to get the Teen's, compare Powered up to Maverick Hunter X and you will see.

I don't know if I agree with you 100% there. I think he head is big because they were applying an 8 bit sprite to an anime-type character. I'm not at all saying that the original series is ADULT, but there were plenty of games on the NES that were a lot more kid-friendly than Mega Man so they clearly could have made it apparently if they wanted to.

I'll believe that this was how Mega man was intended to look (how very George Lucas of them!) when I see it in some kind of official statement.

Well he does have some influence(The robot with the black hair and red boots that had jets, forgot the name) on him so you got me there. But im just trying to say what I remember from the one of the interviews I had read.Somewhere Inafune said he wanted Mega to look something like this but couldn't due to hardware constraints of the NES,he especially didn't like the dark tone that one of the games had,I think Super Adventure Rockman or something.
