  • fuck off you fucking idiot

  • GET FUCKED YOU MORON

  • Slaughter houses are not banned, yep that shit still happens.

  • Ma Fidji a été emmené a l'abatoir il y a 3 semaine et je ne m'en remais pas ! A 12 ans le choc est insuportable ! Des fois, je voudrais la rejoindre ! :'(

  • I have visions,of racetracks in Australia closing their doors. Abandoned stables and weeds growing so high, that the toteboard cant be seen. I see stable men taking their haulers and being ordered to leave the racetrack premises at once. If it is happening in America, it will happen overseas if the efforts are made. One way of doing this is to support the building of new casinos. This would bring horseracing to its knees. The casino people can make this dream happen.thus the petitioners will win

  • Animal liberation right now, animals were not made for humans, and for sixty years we don't need even to eat animals, US vegan society has already proved it, a real shame that i don't live in a first world country since here i don't have options, i need to continue eating animals!

  • @AnimalsLover76 If you care for animals that much why not become a vegetarian and let all your household pets run free. How about protesting aganst something usefull like seal bashing, japanese whale hunting or India that kills elephants for it's tusks. Personally i dont think racing is even equally as bad as these. Some horses enjoy racing but im 100% sure that these seals.elephants etc do not like being killed.

  • @all4pharlap.. Household pets, ok, if they are household pets they can't take care of themselves, have you ever seen a household pet healthy out there? Go to see their looking, they are 24 ours a day asking for our help!

  • @AnimalsLover76 dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits etc they all orginally came from the wild they have some natual instinct. Do you think horseriding is cruel? i mean whats not cruel about putting a bit in a horses mouth and the girth tightly around its waist.?

unfortually everything is going to have its good and its bad and we can't stop it

  • @all4pharlap ...No, you don't see a good looking household pets out there they are real survivors, every dog and cats out there is suffering a lot, they are dirt, without food for days and etc...you can read about household pets and wild ones, they are different, even with some natural instinct they go through unimaginable things and die earlier ...

  • @all4pharlap... And :(whats not cruel about putting a bit in a horses mouth and the girth tightly around its waist)! Of course its a dumb thing, imagine youself like that, just let them go, as we see the wild horses at Assateague together as a family running free, i'd never ride a horse!

  • @AnimalsLover76 To me, you sound like you have never had anything to do with horses, you don't have the pleasure in owning one and probably think its cruel by even touching one and it makes me wonder why you are on this video.

Horses have been ridden and raced for centuries! they are working animals. I love animals too but to me you sound like an animal FREAK! please just let them enjoy life im sure they much rather get out and about and be safe in their owners care

  • @all4pharlap.. Yes, i have the pleasure in owing a horse since i love them, see my channel, but i believe that just like us they have their own nature, apart from us, i just think that the biggest demonstration of love is to let a creature (animals and humans) to be themselves, this is love, but you're telling me here that an animal can't be happy without human contact, ...

  • @AnimalsLover76 What do you do with your horse then? dont you think your horse would rather get out and meet other horses at events etc rather than be stuck in a paddock all day!. whocares..an animal would rather be in the safe hands of their human being fed and looked after rather than fighting for their life in the wild, starving to death, being chased by predetors. I ride my horses, they are very well looked after and they love it and are happy!

  • @all4pharlap they are God's creatures. Your philosophy makes people want to vomit. Cheating and fixing horseracing is against the bible. However, it is not good enough for you. Youve chosen to walk a lonely path. In Europe, there is something called society and integrity. Racing is immoral. The lord only wants us to harm animals for human consumption only. If the petitioners try hard enough, they can close racing

  • @amzingjourney nah by the sounds of it, it only makes you want to vomit.

I am sure "god" really wanted to kill animals for human consumption by bruterly shooting it in the head and skinning it alive.. seriously get real!.

I'm sure if you asked the horses and they could talk back some would say they loved racing and others would say they hated it, horses are like people in a way they all have their opinion, they all like doing somthing different, you have the athletes and u hve lazy

  • @all4pharlap i totally agree with u!! i mean if u look at some of these race horses they really do enjoy raceing but the ones that dont end up getting beat or killed bc they arent good enough :/

  • @countrygirl1074ever Slaughter houses are actually banned around the world now.

If a trainer or owner is caught wanting to send a horse to slaughter(which is only a handful of them! probably only 5%) they are actually banned from racing and fined alot of money. Often the racehorses are rehomed to become good in other events like showing or dressage or eventing which they are really good at!

  • @all4pharlap ... (things like in this video i mean), forget it, i don't believe that, the point is that this animals have been ridden and raced and are working animals due the human nature, humans have a dominium relationship and not a sharing relationship to this planet since we came up, human nature is freak in my opinion and you're one of those that's never looked into the deepest of any...

  • @all4pharlap ...creature to see what their nature is, you just want to defend your ego based on our ancestors, we're supposed to evolve!

Although i know very well that there are holsehold creatures (those that need our caring, and you may apply it to some species of horses), and wild creatures, but slavery, working animals, racing animals, forget it, this is abuse, let them go, no animal was born to do that, no one!

  • @all4pharlap They are different to wild ones, even wild animals need our help!

Becoming a vegetarian! Ok, last year i'd been vegetarian for 10 months and i lost 500

leucocytes, i've told, where i live at, you have to spend money for particular things and i'm not being able to do that for while, but God will help me!

    Protesting?

  • @all4pharlap Ok, i can assure you i do my best, i'm aware of all the petitions and i've been signing as many as i can and you know, we've been helping a lot all kinds of animals worldwide and racing is another kind of abuse to me!

  • all4pharlap offers no useful info...I trained greyhounds for 6 years, and I feel that horses and greyhounds desere their freedom....the racing needs to be banned...at once......organize and bann it........banning has been effective in the US...keep up the good work and efforts are apreciated thanks

  • @amzingjourney You sound like a PETA worker

    Peta

    Eating

    Tasty

    Animals

Yep lets ban horseracing but while were at it lets ban all animal related sports.

If i don't make sense to you maybe you need to learn to read

  • It should be banned, this is pure bestiality, a free creature being condemned a lifetime of slavery, and the worst, ending up as we see here, it must stop!

  • @AnimalsLover76 Animals are basically used for slavery anyway. What do we do when we ride horses..or drive them or make them perform tricks.....FOR OUR OWN ENTERTAINMENT!. Its the same as a lab being made to help the blind or people testing new things on animals!. Its all the same but these horses were bred for this and if you have been around horses long enough you would know they dont put up with stuff they dont like!.

  • @all4pharlap... animals should only be used for slavery by those who have no options...and talking about the labs...it's a huge discussion, we have to do the research by ourselves so that we take the right conclusions, and: (they don't put up with stuff they don't like), ok, although i don't know about it, but even so don't you think this sport put the animals at risk...and they will be sacrificed!

  • @AnimalsLover76 Life is about making risks and sacrifices. Its a natual thing it is done in the wild, even animals take risks.

Some animals love doing there job and others don't. The Thoroughbred was bred to run just like the Arabian was bred to beable to suvive in the desert, have you heard of the racehorse Ruffian? she was a true example of a horse who loved her job trainers and owners spent millions just the same as they did 30 years later with Barbaro to help them recover

  • @all4pharlap..Now think with me, even those horses you told me, you put such animal on racings don't you think you are increasing the chances of this creature to end up hurt or dead, look at the violence of this sport, i'm talking about the speed that is imposed to the horses, the probability of getting hurt or killed increases alot!

  • @AnimalsLover76 Really it all comes down to the horses choice, if the horse does not want to run ofcourse he isn't going to! with most racehorses being 16hh+ and weighing over 500kg it would be almost impossible for a 50kg jockey to stop them from doing what they like or stoping them from basically just throwing them off!.

  • @all4pharlap Ok, put this animal roaming free with other horses and lets see if they go into such practices we see here in the the videos that are way more intense than run free with its friends which is a natural behavior, these racings push the poor animals to the limits, they are all glued to one another, increasing the probability of a disgrace, hey lets be rational, its a matter of protecting the creatures!

  • @all4pharlap, I still think that every animal on this planet is enjoying their lives being themselves like us!

  • I hate horse racing in my opinion..

  • @myhorses4ever I guess you hate riding too then :(, its all as cruel as each other.

  • too true...

  • @all4pharlap - Don't get cocky now. I didn't say it was the 'most cruelst sport ever'. :)

  • @iluvmyponies3 all4pharlap has a gambling disease that he fails to admit to himself. that is why he argues. He is always right, and always "broke". He needs a job, and has to respect himself first, before he can respect others...dont argue with a crazy man. Just let him live out his mistakes

  • @all4pharlap - I have my opinion you have yours. :)

  • @iluvmyponies3 Yeah so have a think about that before you go around thinking racing is the most cruelst horse sport ever!. :-)

  • @all4pharlap get some help. Your family depends on it. Stop gambling your cash away. And get some electric and heat in your house.

  • *to the owner of this video - aimed at description

where on earth did you think that horses are pumped with oxygen after the race? ahh i don't think i've ever seen that!. If they do injure themself during a race they are not put down because they can't make money they are put down because they are IN PAIN!. There are alot more accidents that happen in the paddock than racing and lastly 95% of slow racehorses become showjumpers, dressage or show horses or just pleasure horses.

  • Animal Cruelty comes in many forms but horse racing is not one one of them. Years ago maybe . Like boxing , it's all in the eye of the beholder.

  • dude or dudet look im very happy u made this video to show them about horses specialties

  • ok .. lotushorse , horses ARE powerful like you said , thats why we compete with them , okay little girl ??? im not trying to be rude but i race so i have to disagree with you .. some of the racehorses they run might have a problem in their leg and fall in the race ( btw thats pretty rare ) and some horses are just idiots that are dangerous that have to be sent to slaughter . i dont think they should send good horses to slaughter but thats the truth . horse racing is totally ok , its a sport ...

  • They may not be cruel as to hurting them ....what is cruel is that they are doped, and stupid trainors run them sore all the time...plus they cheat in the races.....Dont worry...it's a matter of time...horseracing is a dying sport....eventually closing it's doors forever...the pro ban groups are winning..greyhound racing is nearly non existant, harness is on its way..and casinos are killing the horseracing industry. Now is the time for these groups to put in the effort to ban it

  • @amzingjourney You obviously don't know much about racing if you dont know that after each race the horse is tested for drugging.

and also horseracing isn't dying out.

please no your facts before commenting

  • some people r so sick, y would you want to riun an animals life wat hav thy ever done us? all thy hav done is help us, so how is it fair tht we treat thm like this!?

  • @snowhorse2 Seems like you're a bit young to be on youtube

*are*, *why* *ruin* *what* *have* *they* *that* *them*.

If you're going to make an opinion please speak more mature.

You don't sound old enough to know the true facts about racehorses, did you know they get the best treatment any horse can get?, excised daily, paddocked daily, stabled at night, fed the best food possible and if they don't make it they get rehomed as a competition horse or pleasure horse!.

  • shut down horse racing...stop the cruelty and the race fixing....the only people who go to the tracks are the low lifers who are never wrong and always broke. the rest of the people are smart enough to realize that they cheat

  • @amzingjourney There is no cruelty in horse racing you imbecile, they get treated betta than most humans. Low lifers only ones that go to the track huh? What sort of stupid comment is that. If they were so broke, you think they would have the money to spend on betting. Take the Melbourne cup for ex. Over $50M is spent on 1 race. Yep they must be all broke. Yes lets stop horse racing and lets send em all to the knackery. You'l bitch and whine about that as well. Get a life dude..

  • @browser067 Yes..low lifers..that's what i said MR SLOWBUS. You are that sick of a gambler to support a sport that is cruel to animals, cheats their patrons....Im not going to repeat myself to a sick crazyman. You will die miserable and broke...go ahead be my guest...The melbourne cup? who cares....austrailian racing is still corrupt...favorites rarely win...its all unpredictable bombs...and that's because the place sucks..and so doesnt their government..jocks have been sent to jail

  • @amzingjourney Hahahaha you are so clueless. Cruel to animals my arse. It seems im alot happier than you cause of your whining and bitching, you sound sooo depressing. Favorites WIN a majority of races so get your facts straight b4 you talk garbage. It seems you need to get a life instead of wishing you had one.

  • @browser067 favorites win less than 30 percent of the time.....that is the fact. Iv'e already beaten you twice, if you dont do what I tell you and stop blowing your money at the track..YOULL BE THE LOSER....or if you dont do what I say...youll BE A BROKE LOSER AS WELL...see?hence I WIN either way..I have a good prosperous life...I dont gamble and do just fine....listen to the music to this video...it sounds like you walking out to your car after the last race...dead broke and no where to turn.

  • @amzingjourney You dont know anything about me. FYI i dont gamble on horses nor go to the track for a start yet if i do i dont exactly come out broke eitha. Theres more to racing than odds. Besides gambling comes in many forms, from lottery, bingo, racing, pokies you name it. It is what it is. Gambling......some are problem gamblers other do it for some fun or leisure and you have no right to justify its causes.

  • @browser067 truth is, I was a greyhound racing trainor from 94 to 98..I rarely gambled and also know that they dont fix greyhounds. However..you cant win..It's too invariable..I also knew 2 trainors from SUFFOLK DOWNS in boston...They stick sponges up the horses noses so they cant breathe while racing, they do dope them, and jockeys go back in the soup kitchen and discuss outcomes.their you have it.cruelty and theft. Anymore questions? Maybe you shd listen to some people...it may save you money

  • @amzingjourney How do they cheat? wow if you know that much about horseracing you must be one of those low lifers....

not sure how they cheat but anyway you think horseracing is cruel? well you may aswell give up riding then because there's alot of so called 'cruelty" in any sport involving animals.

  • @all4pharlap face the music. stop blowing your cash at the track. You need a makeover. You dont know it all. An ostritdge with his head in a cool place in the ground makes more sense than you

  • @amzingjourney I don't bet never have never will. Before you start trying to guess my life maybe try get the first fact right im not a "man".

Going by your previous comment i think i make ALOT more sense than you.

  • @all4pharlap ahhh hah...you are an aussie....did you know how pathetic aussie horseracing is? it is the most currupt racing in the world. China wont even allow jockeys to race there from aussie. They caught aussie jockeys cheating in china...and therefore are no longer welcomed in China.See what socialism does to people over time? You cant think for yourself...nuff said. In the US...tracks are closing...We are too smart to get fleeced..people in your country are too dumb to admit it

  • @amzingjourney Wow if you knew anything about horseracing you would know that alot of our jockeys actually do race in China.

Yeah U.S people are so smart that they close racetracks but aren't smart enough to close down their fast food..smart choice. Lets not bring countries into this i could say a million things about the u.s involving racing but why would i because you're only going to try argue about it

  • @all4pharlap you dont make more sense than I...why? because you say so? Has anybody ever taught you to thinf for yourself? You sound like a socialist robot who refuses to get help and admits his wrong. Im only trying to help. No one on here cares for your opinion. I trained racing greyhounds...I can form a real sensible opinion...You have something to hide..because your not qualified. I think you are a compulsive gambler who refuses to learn your lesson.why bother trying to help you

  • The only thing that would be the happiest day of my life would be for racing to be stopped. It makes me sick how young they are, how their made to do what their not capable of. It's not fair and its really not right. Makes me so sick. Love the video, seriously ignore all the ignorant faggots who post shit they don't know the true meaning of a friendship with a horse and what it's like for them. The fact that all this happens because of a 'sport' is a load of shit. It's not a sport, it's death.

  • Another do gooder that is naive about what goes on in the world. Lets BAN all sports, both human and animal, lets all go back to nomads and walk instead of taking cars, buses, trains, because SO many die each yr. Lets ban guns, alcohol, cigarettes. HELL lets just ban bloody everything because its just to painful, distressing for me. Everything causes pain distress and death. Ppl love, laugh, which causes pain and distress. Get over it.

  • @browser067 you are fuckin stupid man.

  • the way racehorses are treated might seem good to a human, but not to a horse. Horses want to be on 10,000 acres running with other horses, now that's natural. People think they know what horses like and they haven't got a clue.

  • @jgerl100 and your an expert? You can't possibly know what a horse wants because each horse is different. your right ignorant people don't have a clue what horses want but good people do. Racehorses are treated better than most horses

  • Bull Sh*t I work for a race horse trainer and ride race horses every day there treated like royalty and are only asked to run once a month there out in the fields every other day

and are riden up the gallops every day your just getting a load of photos of google when a racehorse breaks its leg then it has to be examined if its got any chance to live then they'll save it if it has'nt then they dont shoot it or slaughter it they put it down whith an injection like if they put a dog down.

  • yes ban it

  • People really need to get lives, have you soon the way race horses are looked after these days - better than most human beings. They are bred to run not stand in a field bored brainless all day. When the jockey falls, would someone care to tell me why half of them carry on running for miles, especially in the Grand National. And by the way I live in Crosby near Aintree and the fences have been altered so much that even I could jump over some of them as a human, and I am not joking either.

  • This is a lovely video racing is a sport, and accidents will happen!

  • @MrConnolly25 - tbh, i'm not bothered whether it is 'factually incorrect'. I'm really not. I don't like racing. End of. Now everyone who is having a go at me, please, grow up. Thanks :) (& MrConnolly25- The grow up comment isn't aimed at you)

  • @iluvmyponies3 If you don't like racing, don't watch the video. To even find this video you must've typed in horseracing....

  • Look. I have my opinion. You have yours. Lets leave it that.

  • @iluvmyponies3 Everybody is entitled to their opinion. The problem with your opinion is that you have contradicted yourself. You can't slate jockeys & horse racing when you have an active role in another form of Equestrian! your entire 'opinion/comment' (the 1 where you start I've never ever liked horse racing) is factually incorrect. An opinion should be an informed opinion,if you dislike horse racing fine but fictional accusations highlight your basic lack of knowledge.

  • While I can understand why many people outside of the racing industry feel that horse racing is 'cruel', if you could see what goes on in the majority of racing yards, you'd be able to see that actually, it isn't. I've been working with racehorses my whole life, and while yes, I have seen a couple horses put down, it is only when there are no other options. Personally, I've seen far more cruelty in other disciplines of riding... Us stable staff care about our horses.

  • Why do these cruelty videos alway end up being hijacked by spoilt little girls/boys who moan how bad and cruel horseracing is? I find it to be insulting when the moaners themselves seem to think participating in showjumping or dressage events is fine.Every single video of this nature is jam packed with hypocrites.

  • Horse racing is on its way out anyway. Attendance is way down at the track. Track betting is an old folks game now. No need to ban it, it will die out on its own.

  • @Werewolf470 just like any living creature horses have the ability to heal. Its just more expensive. So basically you're telling the world money is more important to you. Good for you.

  • @cyanidemaiden h t t p : / / askville . amazon . com / horse-breaks - leg - killed / AnswerViewer . do ? requestId = 834190 Remove the spaces. First answer.

  • So just because horses have a good population (No, they are not over populated.) means that it's ok to just let them die when they don't need to? Sick.

  • @iluvmyponies3 They are overpopulated. People are dumping them in droves. There is a higher population than can be sustained. That means they're overpopulated. Like cats, like dogs, like humans. No, it doesn't mean we can just kill them, but it does mean we need to stop breeding them

  • Look what happened to Barbaro, he has his leg fixed when it was broken. He got laminitis and died. Ruffian, they tried to fix her legs, she thought she was still racing and undid the surgery. She had to be put down. Their legs are what make them, and granted some can be fixed, it is just better for the horse to be put down if the damage is truls terrible. I know people who love their horses and treat them like one of the family, but true riders will admit that racehorses are treated like kings.

  • @Phenayyshaaa - Many races are upto 2/3 hours long in other countries. How many of these horses actually look like they want to be racing? None. Unfortunatley, it's all about the money in todays economy, even if that includes taking advantage of animals.

  • @iluvmyponies3 How many horses look like they want to jump over a 2ft fence? or gallop and jump over solid objects, how many look like they enjoy having on a double bridle and their head almost touching their chest, how many do you think enjoy turning around barels and being whipped and hit in the straight...and how many do you think really enjoy having a bit between their teeth,a girth tightly around them and a rider bouncing around on top of them?

  • and race horses have the highst respect and they are worshiped by any body who loves horses or racing in general, eg, Red rum, Shergar, Kauto star, Rooster booster, Dessert orchid...to name but a few!!!

  • right ive worked in the industruy of racing for 12 years, jump and flat!! i also have a lot of friends that event and trust me a horse can get hurt more so in a cross country event or out on a hunt field more so than in a race! they could be turned out on grass and running around having fun and break a leg and yes unfortunatly have to be shot! and as for the huntsman comment saying that he missed 3 times is bollox because use of a gun at racecourses is banned because of animal rights actovists

  • Oh god. Why do people treat animals like shit?!

  • Not being funny to the last comment, but how would you like it if i shot you in the head 3 times and you still werent dead? Its people like you that should fuck off coz quite frankly these horses are innocent and people treat them like shit. My point? My point is nothing innocent deserves to be ill treated and people like you need to get that into your thick skulls.

  • @Werewolf470 Has it actually occurred to you that horses broken legs can heal? Yep, you heard me, they can heal. Of course, they'll never be able to run /quite/ so vigorously ever again. But they'll still be able to walk and run and maybe even jump a little. They can still have a great quality of life. But, of course, if they aren't reeling in any money(since they cannot race any longer), better get it killed. It's cheaper.

  • @LotusHorse No, they can't jump, not without risk of further injury, healing takes longer than it does in humans due to there being no muscles in the lower leg and a lower blood supply. Due to the legs working not only in pairs front and back but also diagonal pairs, that's three legs messed up by the process. Even the slightest error in pinning the leg and another break occurs. It's so much more complicated it's generally better for the horse's mentality for it to be shot.

  • @LotusHorse it depends on the seriousness of the break. If the horse can heal PROPERLY without any medical difficulties (ie: re-injury, PAIN, other injuries, shoulder/back/neck problems as a result,& a miriate of other problems that result from broken legs), then they WILL try to save it. But even with the technology we have now, a horse can have somewhere between a 2 to 20% chance of survival (with serious breaks, not hairline or stress fractures) DURING the RECOVERY process AFTER surgery

  • @LotusHorse And no, they wouldn't be able to jump, not without risk of further injury. To be more specific this time, healing takes longer than it does in humans due to there being no muscles in the lower leg and a lower blood supply. Due to the legs working, not only in pairs (front and back) but also in diagonal pairs. That's three legs messed up by the process.Even the slightest error in pinning the leg and another break occurs. That is why it's so difficult to decide on things like euthanasia

  • @LotusHorse and @Werewolf470 Oh yeah, and could you guys STOP using the word "destroyed"?! When a horse is put down, it's not like they're being shot down or beaten to death. First, an anestetic is used to render them unconscience (so they don't feel anything) and then a drug that will stop their heart is used. It;s simple, but it's humane, and should only be referred to as humanly euthanized or even just euthanized.

  • @LotusHorse I had a horse who broke its leg. The first horse i ever owned. I loved him. I had a vent splint his leg (which was $6000) and he siad we will see. We couldnt get him to keep weight off of it, he ended up mending wrong. He could limp around, but he could run jump or anything. I ended up having him uthinised. It is better that way.

  • @LotusHorse My mare broke her leg in three places and i choose not to put her down because I thought pretty much what you just said, it would heal and it would all be fine. I had to put her down last week because she got laminitis and arthritis in her back left and front right from being on box rest for 9 months and the vets said she would be in pain for the rest of her life. Sometimes if you really love them its just not worth taking the chance, its not always about it being cheaper.

  • @TheAmazingOlivia It's true that they can heal but it's also true to say that sometimes they cannot. It really depends on the injury itself, and how the horse would cope with it. In the racing industry, a horse would be killed regardless of weather it could heal or not. I'm sure you loved your horse very much however, and you did the right thing if it was really that bad to such an extent. I'm sorry.

  • @iluvmyponies3 they dont run for hours... they run for no more then 2 minutes and most of it is a medium canter :/ and if horse racing wasn't around i wouldn't have my boy. not everything about the indusrty is great there are some things i disagree with but they are treated like royalty in their stables.

  • I used to feel the same way until i saved my horse from the slaughterhome i started normal riding but he loved going fast then i started jumping and we're going great but he has soo much power he wanted to go faster and faster so i decited te race ones we won and he loved it he seamed so happy. Horses like racing but when something goes wrong people give up to early

  • horses are like any other athlete they love competing people might say oh they are just an animal trust me they know they are competing to win and know when they win. and killing the horse after breaking a leg is the right thing to do they are either going to be in pain for the rest of their lives or never be able to get back to normal this isn't cruel its like an other sport

  • So, what about marathons, where people drop dead, let's ban that too, oh and sports in school, where our kids get hurt and some have long term injuries and loose full quality of life. I have seen so many unfactual horse related videos on youtube it makes me wanna puke. Save a starving child's life instead of trying to stop horse racing, Get a LIFE! Post postive things, you will feel better about yourself! Life is too short to be filled with negativity!

  • @mossyoakranch1 I suppose you're right. When a kid brakes their leg in doing sports in school, we ought to destroy them. After all, their quality of life would be unbearable if we allowed them to live with a broken leg. No worry, we'll just send kids like these off to be slaughtered, so they might never become star athletes but at least we won't have to pay a fortune for their food and care now that they are dead. :)

  • @LotusHorse A broken leg for a kid is SO different from a broken leg from a horse. A horse's legs are almost as important as a kid's spine. Compare a broken leg with a kid breaking their back, because if a horse breaks one leg, it may not be something that can be fixed properly. Oh sure, it can be fixed, but there's no guarantee that they won't be in pain, there's no guarantee that they'll even survive the healing process.Trust me,I know what it's like (continue on to next reply/comment)

  • @LotusHorse I know what it's like to break a part of the body that is essential to be capable of simple movements. It's been years since I broke my back& I still suffer a lot with spikes in pain levels. It's more humane for the horse to be HUMANLY EUTHANIZED(NOT "destroyed").& I'll have you know that the more respectible horse racers will either retire& keep or sell their horses to GOOD homes.& idc what you say, these horses know it's a race. They run as fast as they do b/c they LOVE it &want to win

  • @LotusHorse A horse will never recover from a broken leg, a human will, dont talk shite.

Horses attempt to walk on it constantly. people died and get serious brain damage from rugby, are we gonna ban that? footballers drop dead from heart attacks, will we ban that? heck smoking is legal and it kills millions! btw millions of cows die in the name of food, yet we still eat meat

  • @walkthisway104 Actually, on the contrary, it depends on the break in a horse's case.

  • @walkthisway104 The other thing I would have thrown in there too, is what about all these people that have pet dogs, who DELIBERATELY abuse them? Should we ban people from having pet dogs? Whereas horses who die in races, tend to do so as a result of ACCIDENTS. I don't agree with the phrase "forced to race" after all it's not easy to make an animal weighing in excess of 1000 pounds, do something it doesn't want to.

  • @LotusHorse the horses that get put down would suffer more if they were kept alive.

horses love racing and this video is pointless, why make videos about things you have no knowledge on?

go and look at the japanese slaughter videos , there's thousands of horses being slaughtered every month

  • @LotusHorse I normally don't post negative feedback but this video is shit. You don't know what your talking about. Don't post stuff that you don't understand

  • @LotusHorse What are u talking about. If a human breaks a leg, we can sit on our ass for wks on end or walk round in crutches to take the weight off. A horse stands has no crutches, nor can it lay down for wks on end while its leg heals.

  • @mossyoakranch1 oh god I hate people like you so much. Compare a marathon to a horse race? People are able to decide on their own whether they want to go on a marathon or not. is this a either...or question? you either save a starving child or forbid horse racing? if you had a life you had no need to bother yourself with posting a comment here... and if we still keep treading the world and animals and nature as we do there won't be life that can be enjoyed anymore in the future.

  • @mossyoakranch1 Humans cant keep their weight off their leg while it heals. You cant get a horse to do that. Even if it does mend, they are barley walk.

  • @mossyoakranch1 totally agree with you

  • @mossyoakranch1 your stupid....the difference is that they are stealing the racing public's money...type RACE FIXING in GOOGLE and read them....stupid...oh yeah..and get your head out of your ass

  • it is sad

  • Horses get hurt all over the world in all different sports. This person singleing out racing is kinda comical. Just shows how uneducated some people are. Horses love to run and nobody can take that away from them, that is what makes them one of the most beautiful and free creatures alive!

  • Look whoever you are that made this video. Yes I totally agree, but if horses didn't want to race they wouldn't? Horses aren't forced to race, they are naturally born with speed. Horse racing isn't cruel, its showing other people how good horses actually are. So no its not a 'sport' its a SPORT!

  • @daynamaisie101 Not all horses are naturally born with the speed needed to compete in these races, and the ones which are not up to standard often get sent off to slaughter.

  • @LotusHorse also not true. They're usually sent to rescues or auctions. And, contrary to popular belief, most auctions in the United States do not associate themselves with slaughter houses. If a horse is not sold, they keep it for the next auction. Not to mention that thoroughbreds are used for more than just racing and can be trained to do something else if they are not fit to race. :P

  • @LotusHorse Not true, these horses are worth alot more than that. Just becasue they arn't in the "top" speed doesnt meen they are worthless, they are usually sold to people like my sister who trains barrel racing horses.

  • @LotusHorse most horses that aren't good enough to race are rehomed. Not sent to slaughter. Yes if they are raving nutters that have lost the plot then it is kinder to put them down but 9 times out of ten they are rehomed

  • These are facts! Incorrect ones!

  • @96drummer2 Thank you! Simeone know what they are talking about! Everyone go watch "Horse loses its jickey and wins!" the horse did that on his own! Most horses that dont get raced, get homes or go to rescues! Some people are stupud and post videos like this when they kniw nothing about the sport!

  • It makes me sad to see young 2 and 3 year old horses racing on legs that are not yet fully developed. Their bones are still growing, that's part of the reason why you see so many leg injuries on the track. Before you argue with this point, spend a few minutes to google the information.

  • I used to love horse racing until I began to see the "rejects". Beautiful horses that were trained to go one speed, "fast" and only turn to the left (in the US), are not highly desireable as trail horses. Check your local classifieds if you don't believe me. They have to be completely retrained. Also, about 50,000 Thoroughbreds are foaled each year. What do you think happens to the 45,000 that aren't good enough to win races?

  • horses love to race and run the absolutely love it

  • Horses can not be forced to run. They wont, if they dont want to! Trust me, horses are smart enough to know how to make people stop.

  • I've never ever liked horse racing & I think it should be well & truely banned. Any horse lover would not think it is ok to make a horse run for hours (From the age of 3!!!!!) so that the jockey can win some money.

  • @iluvmyponies3 They don't run for hours.

  • @iluvmyponies3 Because that will really help the over-population of horses in the world won't it. No future for them means bye-bye

  • @iluvmyponies3 Nice to see you dislike horseracing. For a start horses generally have their debut's as 2year olds,it has very little to do with the jockey winning money either as the horses have owners who tend to employ a jockey to ride their horse. Then as if slandering a jockey isn't good enough i see that actually you seem to have a very keen interest in Equestrian! in fact your video states its a way of life lol.Is that not the pot calling the kettle black? Hypocrisy gone mad.

  • @iluvmyponies3 Your video 'It's A Way Of Life;Equestrian' has a quite obvious problem, ill break it down simply for you Equine means horse Equestrian means horse back riding ok so horse racing,Polo,Show jumping, dressage etc are all forms of Equestrian. It's incredible that someone anti horse racing would use that title & again exposes your blantant hypocrisy.Just to further your hypocrisy show jumping, dressage etc too has financial gain for the jockeys doesn't it ROFL

  • @iluvmyponies3 ... but they don't run them for hours.... they're ran for the amount of time they can handle WITHOUT tiring out. It's actually a very tedious process, training them. And races only last about 3 minutes, TOPS. Usually they last for less than that

  • @iluvmyponies3 LOL, Jockeys dont get a 1/10 of what the owner gets.

  • @iluvmyponies3 I guess any horse lover would also give up riding then?

I mean there is "cruel things" in any horse or animal sport.

Whats the difference between making a 3yo start showjump training or dressage training than a 3yo having a trot and small canter on the track(which is all racehorses do during training at that age)

  • @all4pharlap race horses start racing at the age of 2 actually. They aren't always all even '2' either. Thoroughbreds share a 'January 1st' birthday in order to have a 'fighting chance' to run in 2yo only races. These horses that make it to the tracks and off in one or two races are lucky. Those that run until they're 5 or 6 are often at high risk of sway back and almost always have leg injuries that 'pulled them off the track'

  • @Samhwain The 2 year olds are trialed before racing and if stewards don't think they are fit to compete in 2yo racers they are not allowed to each horse is different some 2yo's can handle it,others can't-just like riding!.It would be very unlikely they would develop a swayed back as they carry less than 50kg, i know many sj's that have been retired due to broken legs, leg strains etc to, there are risks in ANY horse sport. you might ride your horse tomorrow,,it might fall and be hurt

  • @all4pharlap i almost adopted one but I didn't have the right facilities for the sweetheart. I have nothing against racing (mind you) it's not the only rough and tumble horse sport out there and it's certainly low on my list of woes because the horses do see happy days in the stables. it just bothers me how young they start them. My filly wasn't even started until she was three (she had basics around two and was turned out for development)

  • Dont ban it... why listen to people who are complete idiots?

  • touching video. couldnt of been better...just got to find a way to spread the word to the ignorant

  • SUCK MY P3N15

  • @Werewolf470 there have been cases of animal abuse with a few rather less than reputable trainers. Im not saying it's common, but it does occur in a few rare cases

  • I saw very little fact in this vide, mostly a lot of sentimentalised emotional bullshit.

  • Our ancestors in England created the thoroughbred and that was for one purpose (I think even the tree lovers will know what that was). If it wasn't for horse racing then a whole race of animals would never have been.

  • Has anybody wondered what would happen if tomorrow Horse Racing was banned? Suddenly thousands of horses would be left with no purpose. Owners wont pay for them to just run around a field. Hence, the dog food factories would boost dramatically in produce and the French would be eating future Derby winners for lunch. Thousands of people will be out of work and families will be crushed. Racecourses will be left to rot and thousands will lose massive sums of money. We would be a laughing stock.

  • Horse racing is truely a horrific sport where thousands suffer horrific and painful deaths on the track world wide, everyday. It has been proven countless times that horse racing uses the horses flight instinct to make them run, horses countinue to run to keep up with the herd - becouse there instinct says, run or die.Ever wondered what happens to horses that lose? are to slow to even make it to the track? only 300 out of every 1000 horses bred for racing make it to the track. BAN HORSE RACING

  • @EquineArtistify1 Nope i have never wondered what happens to racehorses that are to slow..i know that most are actually rehomed and make great dressage, show horses or showjumpers or even just pleasure horses!.

  • if a horse didn't want to run, it wouldn't run. if it didn't want to jump, it wouldn't jump. they are not "forced to run", there's too many dogooders in this world, if it was down to people like you we'd all be sitting around knitting jumpers, talking about veganism and the weather. i happen to know alot of trainers and stable hands who would explain to you that the majority of these horses are given the highest quality of lives. there are exceptions, but blame the human beings, not the sport.

  • @adamisonfire18 You need to consider extreme cases of abuse in all sports. But can you think of another sport where desperate trainers inject bleach into the rectum to burn the make the athlete preform better?

  • @sheppak doubt very much that things like that happen, but as i said blame the human beings not the sport. horses all around the world not involved with racing get treated badly every single day. it's not the sport that makes these things happen, it's humans being cruel. the sport doesn't physically make anyone do anything.

  • @adamisonfire18 I completely agree. Usually it is found in sports with a bigger monetary gain. The bigger the payout, the more extreme lengths people will go to, to win.

  • This argument could be also used to put down all other horse events - jumping, dressage, eventing barrel racing, etc. In any of those events, horse can and do die. Just look at the Rolex.

  • Answering the car comment,

Cars are nonliving, and dont feel anything, man made vechicle, and not necessarily bad for the engine, more like bad for the enviorment, (gasonline emissions)

  • The Grand National is watched by 500,000,000 people. I do not think it will stop.

  • why yes you r i think i know race horse better than u luv

  • I used to work in a racing stable, and it's terrible what goes on behind the scenes too. While this is no excuse, it's a high stress environment and stable hands tend to lash out at the horses. I saw a stable hand whipping a horse with a halter on the rump, and the horse kept trying to buck and kick him. When I challenged him he said "But she's bucking." He then punched me in the face and I got him fired :) You will never succeed in banning racing. Too much money in it and powerful people.

  • during horse races it looks fine but in other cases it can be cruel when something goes wrong with a racehorse if it breaks a leg for no reason when they put them down so to LotusHorse can you not put up with uploading a video like this to stop everybody in this kind of sport that horse racing is not cruel it can be if something happens to a horse during a horse race and why is there a need for them to put horses down. Anyway that video of urs is rubbish.
