yeah well, a car like the pilot could not possibly run on just a inline 4. its just too heavy. a v6 would definitely be necessary. and also the ridgeline truck would need a v8 in order to compete in the US market. honda's been making all sorts of engines for many years so i dont think their technology is limited to just one cylinder layout.
