  • Imagine being held captive by a large, scary bull-dyke to a slave in her tortured harem and not be allowed to opt out for monogamy? That would really suck… especially if it were to take place in North America. I see a new film on the go!

  • censored....

  • NaziHalocaustRussiaOil9/11UsaApartheid!!!!

  • What a discussion here... Has nothing to do with that wonderful movie. Besides: the screenplay is by Erich Kästner. His works were forbidden in this horrible aera of nazism. "Münchhausen" was ae UFA-jubilee all star full colour production - and still is a fabulous and timeless movie comparable to "The wizard of Oz". Beautiful early AGFA-colour.

  • @piratmorya You sir, are an idiot.

  • @piratmorya I'm interested in what you have to say, man.

  • This story takes place in Istanbul, not in fucking Saudi Arabia!

  • @piratmorya "But he was so good guy"

Did you mean an 'n' for the 's' in 'so', or are you pro-antisemitism? Because I'm confused.

  • @piratmorya

...well, they didn't EAT children, but they did other things :S

  • Hello, I have the Kino version. Are there any missing scenes?

  • A wonderful sequence.

How was she carried out the door?

  • He used the "Lord of The Rings!" And they cut out someone getting out of a pool at 0:35

  • Das größte Film der "UFA" außerordentlichen.

  • I saw this on TCM a few weeks ago and I was amazed that there was actually several topless women in the harem! Their breasts were out and in full view. Strange that the Nazis were okay with nudity in movies while Hollywood at the same time was under the iron grip of the Hayes Code.

  • ON TCM I JUST WATCHED THIS ORIGINAL GERMAN LANGUAGE 1943 'MUNCHAUSEN". The comedy element is there yet not as thick. But the story and special effects are very much the same. I had no clue there was an original film. It was GREAT. Worth seeing if you like this remake

  • This is the original. The remake is by Terry Gilliam

  • Yes I know this is the roriginal. You missed understood my comment

  • The special effects are amazing

  • AGFAcolor looked really good
