I love Natalie's voice, but she is one of the most annoying creatures walking the earth! Her talent is amazing! I wish she would only open her mouth to sing...NO TALKING! And, just to clarify, my opinion has nothing to do with her statements regarding Bush. If anything, that made me like her a little more. In general, she just seems to be one of those people you want to hit in the mouth...with a shoe! I bet the other ladies would agree...not that they would ever admit it.

@GospelAccording2ME She never got any accolade for her singing alone. In fact, she grew up with a father who had a recording studio since at least when she was 12. He never recorded his daughter until she wanted to get into Berklee, a school that suddenly deserved free concerts by him and his well known entertainer friends....right after she got a scholarship there. Sad, but the concerts stopped when the school quietly rescinded her honorary degree because she didn't qualify. LOL.

All politics aside, I find it such a shame that their careers fell apart because they used their right to free speech, which is what our troops are fighting for. The Dixie Chicks should have blessed us with many more great songs and albums, but it was all cut short because of a ridiculous witch hunt. Talent like this does not come around very often and we as country music fans short-changed ourselves.

I own this Evening with the Dixie Chicks DVD - it is SO good ! These three girls together really did their thing - Emily and Martie are EXCEPTIONAL musicians - the focus on their instrumentals is amazing , but without the golden voice of Natalie there is just something missing - I find it hard to believe so many disowned her for speaking her mind - I thought we still valued free speech in America? I relly miss music like this -wish they would do another CD together .
